Ling’er anxiously asked, “Where are those two?”
A maid who was working responded, “They left with a fishing pole, they should be going fishing.”

Wan Lan laughed hearing this, “Those two make quite a pair.”
“Like hell they do.” Ling’er anxiously asked, “Where did they go fishing?”
“We don’t know.”
Wan Lan guessing, “Did they go back to Liuye Manor?”
Hearing this, Ling’er thought it highly likely and said, “I need to check.”
Wan Lan asked, “Are you really going to step in?”
“I’m worried he’ll stir up trouble.”
Wan Lan gave a slight smile and said, “You’re worried they’ll develop a romantic relationship, aren’t you?”
“No way, I’m worried that naive girl doesn’t know any better and would be deceived by him.”

Rembering the previous night, Ling’er felt shy and scared, innocent and pure, not at all like what Wan Lan had depicted.
Wan Lan sighed, “Anyway, I don’t think she’s as simple as you think. Claiming she’s just an ordinary poor girl, I don’t buy it. I get the feeling she knows more than she’s letting on, especially when it cos to fostering relationships with others. She’s not shy at all.”

“No, I used to live here.”
“You lived here?”

ng Yan looked at the calm lake surface and a few small boats sailing past and nodded, “Not bad. You really have a knack for choosing places. It’s a great spot for a date.”
Ye Chen laughed, “It’s just really tranquil, a bit removed from the bustling streets.”
“Not at all, it’s peaceful here, I quite like this place.”

ng Yan glanced outside, then suddenly asked, “Isn’t that Sky Lake Manor across the lake?”

Ye Chen asked, “Would you like to go fishing?”

“Yes, there’s one more rod in the woodshed. I’ll give you this one, and I’ll go get the other one from inside.” Ye Chen stood up to go inside, then asked, “Do you know how to fish?”
“Never learned.”
“It’s easy. When you see the float moving, it ans a fish is biting. You’ll get the hang of it after trying a couple of tis.” Ye Chen said.
ng Xiuluo was not interested in fishing. Her mind was elsewhere, curious about what Ye was really like. She didn’t dare ask too many questions for fear of drawing attention, but she believed there was sothing extraordinary about him if Wei Sisan had set his eyes on him. He couldn’t possibly be average, let alone a simpleton. How could the New City Sect easily hand over the Sect Leader position to a young man? If he wasn’t extraordinary sohow, it wouldn’t make any sense.
