Chapter 878: Chapter 878: Alien Species
Lin Shen gritted his teeth, having already caught the thing. Since it didn’t flee, he decided to feel it and figure out what it really was.
The section that Lin Shen’s palm touched felt as thick as an arm, but when his fingers squeezed it, the object deford, as if it had no bones at all.
Suppressing the pounding in his heart, Lin Shen reached out with his other hand to touch it. The sensation was the sa in both hands: a soft, springy feeling, along with being extrely smooth.
With just a little force from his fingers, the object deford along with the pressure, much like squeezing a jelly, except it was not as easily broken as jelly.
After being squeezed and deford, the object didn’t spring back imdiately when Lin Shen released it; in fact, it bounced back very slowly, leaving Lin Shen unable to make heads or tails of what this thing could be.
As Lin Shen felt along the object, he ca full circle back to his starting point, still able to feel the dents where he had deford it with his fingers.

“Could this possibly be a life preserver?” Lin Shen was full of doubt.
Judging from what he had felt, it seed to be a life preserver-shaped circular object. But what kind of life preserver could withstand such high temperatures without turning to ash?
“What in the world is this thing?” Lin Shen was no longer as scared as he had been before.
The object seed like a non-living thing devoid of life, showing no reaction no matter how he pinched or manipulated it. Moreover, Lin Shen had never seen any creature that resembled a life preserver.
After hesitating, Lin Shen floated up out of the liquid and lifted the object in his hands, wanting to see what it actually was.
Upon hearing the sound of the liquid below, Yu Langya imdiately asked, “Do you need to pull you out?”
The fact that Lin Shen had managed to stay subrged for so long was sowhat surprising to Yu Langya.
“No need,” Lin Shen replied, his eyes still fixated on the object in his hands.
Outside the liquid, the purple light was dazzling; normally, he shouldn’t have been able to see anything. However, the object he held emitted an iridescent glow, and even amidst the intense purple light, its form was clearly visible.
The thing Lin Shen held did indeed resemble a life preserver, just a bit thicker than his arm and transparent, yet it exhibited iridescent colors. Viewed from different angles, it showed different sparkling colors, looking exceedingly beautiful.
Lin Shen squeezed it again, and the object deford to his touch as if it offered no resistance at all—it deford in any way he manipulated it.
By now, Lin Shen was certain that this thing probably wasn’t a living creature. He had no idea what material it was made of.
“Base Mutation Land should give birth to creatures, even if they are not eggs but so kind of lifeform; why is there such a strange thing? What exactly is it?” Lin Shen kneaded and squeezed it into a mass, resembling a large chunk of jelly.
But the object was extrely light, undulating in the liquid, unable to sink down but also not floating completely on the surface.
The reason Lin Shen had managed to touch it might be because his entry stirred the movent of the liquid, causing it to drift and float towards him.
Lin Shen wasn’t in the mood to study what material this was; he tossed it aside and continued absorbing the energy of the Immortal Land, hoping to achieve a second Nirvana.
After a while, Lin Shen felt sothing touch his body again. Extending his hand, he caught it—it was that object again, having drifted over. He simply ignored it from then on.
The thing was rising and falling beside Lin Shen, who paid it no mind.
At that mont, Lin Shen suddenly felt the energy flowing into his body go from a cool sensation to sothing more complex.
In addition to the cool sensation, there was an energy that felt tingly and crisp, so that made him itch intensely, and so that brought a sense of pain.
More and more strange energies entered Lin Shen’s body, causing him to experience a myriad of sensations; his body reacted with sourness, itchiness, pain, numbness, coldness, heat, pleasure, and tornt all at once.
“Yu Langya didn’t lie to , the energy of Jade Refinent Mountain is indeed complex, but why didn’t I absorb such energy just now, and now it suddenly appears…” Lin Shen’s heart stirred, and he reached out to touch the object.
It was right beside him; he reached out and grabbed it in his hand, then pushed it away.
Doing so, when Lin Shen absorbed energy once more, he felt only the clear, cool energy again.
“Could it be that those chaotic energies were all absorbed by that strange object?” Lin Shen swam over, found the object he had thrown away, took it in his hands and once again circulated Evolution Theory to absorb energy.
All sorts of chaotic energies entered his body once more, even more than before.
“It’s indeed this thing, the chaotic energy of Jade Refinent Mountain, it was all absorbed by it. No wonder I didn’t absorb other Exotic Energies earlier, they were all in here.” Lin Shen held the strange object in both hands, facing a difficult choice; whether or not to absorb the chaotic energy within it.
In the end, Lin Shen decided to set it aside for the ti being, and first attempt to achieve Nirvana with the pure, cool energy.
If it didn’t work, he would absorb its chaotic energy.
As ti ticked away, Yu Langya had been waiting above for a long ti; she hadn’t seen Lin Shen erge, and there was no response from below. She started to worry a bit, hesitating whether to go down and check.
However, she was sowhat unsure whether Lin Shen had already started on the Nirvana Plate. If Lin Shen had already entered the state of Nirvana, disturbing him now would be detrintal.
“He hasn’t co out for such a long ti; he must have entered the state of Nirvana,” Yu Langya thought secretly to herself. “A person who could be nad alongside Di Esi indeed has so skills, being able to achieve Nirvana in Jade Refinent Mountain on his own.”
As Yu Langya was thinking, she suddenly frowned and directed her gaze towards the lake.
There on the lake surface, a small boat was approaching Lake Heart Island, and on that boat stood several figures.
“Only my master and I knew the location of the teleporter on Langya Jade Cave Star. My master has long passed away; how could anyone co here?” Yu Langya stared at the boat, which soon approached, and she recognized the people standing on it.
“Yu Langya?” Yu Langya got a clear look at the man at the bow of the boat.
Seeing the people behind Yu Langya, Yu Langya’s frown deepened.
“Yu Langya, why are you here?” the man at the bow also saw Yu Langya on the mountain and spoke as if questioning her.
“That’s what I should be asking you, how did you get here, and why bring outsiders?” Yu Langya retorted.
“Langya Jade Cave Star is the inheritance left to by master; what’s so strange about being here?” Yu Langya replied with a cold snort.
“The inheritance left to you by master?” Yu Langya was dumbfounded by his remark.
