Chapter 685: Chapter 685: Degradation Agent
As the hands of the chanical watch turned, a circular area in the middle of the workbench gradually rose, quickly ascending into a cylinder one ter tall.
Fixed in the middle of the cylinder was a syringe, and through the transparent part of the syringe, one could see it was filled with a blue liquid.
Lin Shen originally thought it was a smart brain device or, at the very least, a projector of so sort that could provide so information. He didn’t expect it to be just a hidden space containing a syringe.
Lin Shen reached out and took the syringe, the space within the cylinder was designed to store this syringe specifically, its shape perfectly fitting just that one syringe, nothing else, not even an instruction manual.
Examining the syringe in his hand, he found a steel stamp on the tal casing, with a few words engraved on it.
“Regressive Agent…” Lin Shen murmured, “I’ve only heard of Evolutionary Agents… What’s the use of a Regressive Agent… to make one’s body regress?” He carefully stored the Regressive Agent, relieved that the syringe itself had a locking chanism, ensuring there was no worry of accidental activation.
The cylinder on the workbench slowly descended, seamlessly rging with the workbench to the point where no gap was visible, as if they were originally one piece.
At that mont, the surface of the workbench suddenly lit up, what originally looked like tal had now beco a display screen.
“Ergency plan activated, do you wish to teleport imdiately? Teleportation will automatically comnce in ten seconds.”
Text appeared on the monitor along with the options yes and no.
Lin Shen decisively chose no, for all he knew, the teleportation could lead directly into the den of the God-making Race, and that would be disastrous.
This device was clearly an ergency contingency plan within the spaceship, possibly ant for escape. He wondered why no one used it when an accident occurred.
The monitor dimd, returning to its original tallic state.
Not daring to linger any longer, Lin Shen quickly left the spaceship.
There were too many strange things inside the spaceship, and he was concerned sothing might go wrong. Now that he had acquired the God-making Egg, there was no need to take further risks. He could co back to explore after the Death Powder had recovered.
As Lin Shen erged from the conduit, Wei Shoucheng and the others breathed a sigh of relief, but seeing Lin Shen’s empty hands, they thought he hadn’t found anything of value.
“I’ve got the Prival Eggs, let’s head back,” Lin Shen said, shaking off the blue liquid clinging to his body, as he left the underground space with the group.
After returning to the Townland Hall, Lin Shen took out the God-making Egg and the Regressive Agent he had found, and then detailed his findings to Wei Changqing and the others.
The sight of so many Prival Eggs excited and delighted everyone. With these eggs, their ho planet could create more Nirvana Beings, easing the strain on those suppressing the underground spaces.
As for the Regressive Agent, none of them knew its use, nor was anyone brave enough to try it.
“According to what you said, all the materials used in these Prival Eggs are Base Variant materials. No wonder promotion through Prival Eggs results in varied enhancents,” Wei Shoucheng comnted.
Wei Changqing pointed to the Immortal Level Prival Egg and said, “We don’t need to keep these eggs here; you all take them with you.”
Everyone was taken aback, but Wei Changqing continued, “You all face challenges abroad and need more support. Take these to cultivate more human powerhouses. As long as you can hold your ground out there, you’ll naturally be able to offer more aid to the ho planet.”
Lin Shen knew Wei Changqing had more to say. Now that the major families were expanding into the universe, even if the Prival Eggs were kept, how many people would want to undergo Nirvana on the ho planet and remain there forever?
The Wei Family was nearly extinct, and Wei Changqing’s willingness to let Wei Wufu leave showed that he no longer wanted the descendants of the Wei Family to remain trapped here; that was not the destiny they were ant to have.
“Wei, have you considered starting over? With these Prival Eggs, you could start over and gain a Double Life Base again. Don’t worry about the thod; I’ll figure sothing out,” Lin Shen said to Wei Wufu.
“No… not now… I can…” Wei Wufu shook his head as he spoke.
Wei Wufu had no intention of starting over. Indeed, there were risks involved, as it would be difficult to acquire the sa talents and abilities, and the Life Base might change after restarting.
Unwilling to lose his current talents and Life Base, Wei Wufu preferred to maintain his current state.
Lin Shen didn’t leave the ho planet. He planned to stay here for a while to see if the Death Powder could complete Nirvana before the effects of the Dark Domain Lotus Seeds were at their strongest, and he intended to explore the spaceship once more.
In the anti, Lin Shen helped the Wei Family clear out the Base Variant Creatures in the underground world, especially the Nirvana Creatures. It would be best if they could find the Nirvana Land in the underground space and see if it was possible to utilize it.
If there truly was such a place, the humans of the ho planet wouldn’t need to use Prival Eggs for Nirvana in the future.
Lin Shen also planned to revisit the areas of the underground space that he hadn’t fully explored last ti.
Once he completed Nirvana, returning to the ho planet would not be so easy.
Tie only knew how to leave, but not how to return to the ho planet via Gourd Mountain.
The Nirvana Creatures of the underground space would erge in large numbers from ti to ti. With Lin Shen’s assistance, the Wei Family cleared out another wave of Nirvana Creatures and even found two Nirvana Eggs.
Lin Shen and Wei Wufu once again arrived at the place where Changhen Dongli was slain. After passing through that area, they discovered that the canyon ahead ford a ring; they had made a complete circle, killing a few Nirvana Creatures before winding back from another side.
“The Base Mutation land of the underground space isn’t here after all…” Lin Shen was sowhat surprised. He had thought that the Base Mutation land would surely be in this area.
There were no other paths to take here, but fortunately, Lin Shen had the ability of the Stairway to Heaven and took Wei Wufu to the mountain peak with him.
Standing on the mountaintop, they could see from afar that beyond this mountain range was a vast, crimson sea.
The endless red sea, akin to blood, stretched to the distant horizon, rging with the rock do to form a continuous mass, no less impressive than the oceans above ground.
What was eerie was that above that sea of blood, they saw sothing that resembled a moon or sun.
That pink orb hung between the sea of blood and the rock do, looking like the sun about to set or the moon just rising.
Lin Shen and Wei Wufu exchanged glances and saw the astonishnt in each other’s eyes.
“How can there be a moon and sun in the underground space?” Lin Shen and Wei Wufu climbed over the mountain range and arrived at the edge of that sea of blood.
The Wei Family had never reached this place; the sea of blood turned out to be no different from a real ocean, with a coastline of white sandy beaches. The waves of the crimson sea, like ripples, crashed onto the white sands before gently receding.
The orb, resembling both the moon and the sun, hung distantly on the horizon, neither setting nor rising.
Lin Shen did not know how far away that object was; as he hesitated over whether to cross the sea of blood to get a closer look, he suddenly saw waves surging in the distance.
A colossal creature broke through the surface of the sea of blood, leaping above the water.
“What is… that…” Lin Shen’s pupils contracted, seemingly unable to believe what his eyes were seeing.
