Lin Shen hurriedly closed the door and backed out, fearing that he might trigger the phantom within the flas.

The four of them inspected each mud hut in turn; the situation was the sa in each one. There was a clay basin inside every hut, and inside the basin, a bonfire was burning.

So of the bonfires had already conjured phantoms, while others were still just bonfires, not yet having given birth to any phantoms.

The phantoms varied, so still in a fetal state, while others had already taken form. The most terrifying among them was nearly solidifying into a corporeal entity.

It was a deity with the body of a human and the tail of a snake. Lin Shen couldn't discern its origin. The red flas converged into a flickering light, seemingly forming a substantial body.

"It seems that the color and aura of the flas in each Fire Basin here are slightly different," Lin Shen mused after stepping outside.

In most Nirvana Land, the Attribute should be singular, but the attributes of these flas appeared to be all different.

If one wanted to use these flas for Nirvana, it was necessary to ascertain the exact Attribute of the flas.

Out of the seventeen Fire Basins, only four had yet to birth any creatures. The flas in those four basins were clearly purple, orange, white, and red. One could not tell their Attributes or what kind of creatures they might birth just by looking at them with the naked eye.

"This poor monk can feel that the creatures bred from these flas are all extrely terrifying, beyond my reach," Master Chao Du said.

"This place should be the Immortal Land. Those terrifying creatures on the planet should all hail from here. Normally, a Base Mutation site should form naturally, so why does this place appear to be artificially manufactured?" Ouyang Yudu pondered.

In fact, he hadn't ntioned another thing: the Golden Buddha Temple and the Buddha Fruit Tree were likely built later by people relying on this ancient temple, existing on this planet by drawing energy from the Immortal Land.

"Soone must have modified this Immortal Land, but it's unknown who possesses such terrifying power to transform an Immortal Land," Lin Shen said, his gaze shifting towards the eight colossal pillars.

The pillars and the mud huts inside the ancient temple were clearly not built in the sa style; they appeared to be added later.

Lin Shen approached one of the great columns and examined it from all angles, but couldn't make sense of it.

This pillar, more than a hundred ters high, looked as though it was carved from a single block of mountain stone, bare of any marks or inscriptions.

The mythical beasts at the top were also unrecognizable to Lin Shen and the others.

Lin Shen inspected all eight pillars without discovering anything. Everything here was simple and primitive, bereft even of text or symbols.

Wei Wufu and Ouyang Yudu were also exploring around, hoping to find the teleporter.

But having inspected all the mud huts and found no teleporter, there was no other place inside the ancient temple that could potentially conceal one.

"Strange, there's no teleporter here. How did Tie leave?" Lin Shen frowned slightly.

He had thought these pillars might possibly be the teleporter, but after studying them extensively, he realized that didn't seem to be the case.

"There's a well over there that's a bit strange," Ouyang Yudu called over to Lin Shen and Wei Wufu.

Lin Shen followed Ouyang Yudu to the well and saw that it was a well hewn out of rock, with the well's rim and walls made of stone.

Lin Shen examined it and noticed nothing particularly special; the well was crudely dug, with an uneven rim.

"Take a look inside the well," Ouyang Yudu said.

Lin Shen leaned over and peered into the well. At first glance, he didn't realize anything amiss—there was water in the well.

```
But Lin Shen paused and suddenly realized sothing was amiss.
They were in water now, so how could there be more water beneath the well?
Lin Shen stuck his head out further to study it and, indeed, saw that deep within the well, just like a normal water well, there was a water surface, separate from the water above, creating the strange phenonon of a body of water within another.
Even more bizarre was the reflection of a full moon within that water.
"The moon?" Lin Shen looked up, but all he saw above was water, with no sky in sight - where could the moon in the well's reflection be coming from?
"The characters on the well..." Wei Wufu said, staring at the inner wall of the well.
Lin Shen followed Wei Wufu's gaze and, sure enough, saw inscriptions on the wall of the well.
"Yingyue Well..." Lin Shen recognized the three largest characters imdiately, written in universal cosmic script.
Behind those three characters, there was a row of smaller text, quite abundant in quantity.
Given the narrow entrance, Lin Shen found it difficult to view the text and had to lean further down to read it. Ouyang Yudu and Wei Wufu held onto his legs, one on each side, ready to pull him back up in case of any ergency.
"I have traveled across the universe's vast expanse, in search of the land of Nirvana, and stumbled upon this place by chance, astonishing even the Celestials..." Lin Shen read the characters inscribed on the well's inner wall. Explore more stories at My Virtual Library Empire
The more Lin Shen read, the more shocked he beca. This person claid to have traveled throughout the universe in quest of a location for a Base Mutation of Nirvana, accidentally finding this planet.
He found that the planet was ho to nurous Undying Creatures, each one a terrifying existence. Should they leave the planet and enter the universe, each could possibly dominate their own territory.
So Undying Creatures were so formidable that even he felt he was no match for them and was almost killed by them.
He had suffered severe injuries, but fortunately, by sheer luck, he found his way to this ancient temple, where those dreadful beings dared not enter, thus saving his life.
According to him, this ancient temple was an unimaginable land of the Immortal, unlike any other he had seen.
Any known Immortal Land in the universe seed insignificant in comparison to this one.
Thrilled by this discovery, he considered it the Immortal Land he had long been dreaming of.
He planned to reincarnate and cultivate anew here and, at the ti of his Ascension, use this Immortal Land to complete his Nirvana.
Based on his research, the flas within these seventeen Fire Basins were the condensed essence of the Immortal Land's life-giving Strength, yet these seventeen flas each had their own Attribute. Moreover, every ti they nurtured a new Undying Creature, the flas' attributes would randomly change and never remain the sa.
He had stayed here for over ten thousand years, and had finally uncovered so of its secrets.
Out of the seventeen flas, sixteen were constantly changing, and they were continuously birthing new Undying Creatures.
Only one fla had remained unchanged for ten thousand years and had never given birth to any Undying Creature.
At first, the man couldn't understand why, but after a long ti, he finally grasped the key to it.
It wasn't that the fla couldn't nurture Undying Creatures, but rather, the Undying Creature it was ant to nurture was different from the usual ones.
The other sixteen flas produced mutated Undying Creatures. But the fla in this basin was nurturing a kind of higher-level Immortal Entity that he had never seen before, far beyond a simple mutated Undying Creature.
