Chi Shang showed no expression on his face, Tian Xun's brows were tightly knit, and An 16's face also revealed nothing.

"Is that necessary?" An 16 frowned, believing there was no point in wasting more ti.

An 16 originally thought that if by so fluke one or two had escaped back, it would be impressive; but to his surprise, all three were alive and seed to be in good condition, with their carapaces intact and no apparent injuries.
The three landed on the shore and saluted An 16 and the others, "Lord, we have returned."
"Good that you're back. How was the battle? Did you get the Spirit Base of the Crimson Fla Starburst Dragon?" An 16 could tell at a glance that the trio did not have the Spirit Base of the Crimson Fla Starburst Dragon on them, and he didn't believe they could have taken it from under Flarela's watch. Lin Shen simply tossed out the Crimson Fla Starburst Dragon capsule, and as it landed on the ground, it transford into the dazzling Crimson Fla Starburst Dragon, shining like a red dawn.
The Crimson Fla Starburst Dragon opened its mouth and released its Life Base, and Lin Shen pointed to it saying, "Lord, the Life Base is here."
An 16 stared blankly at the Crimson Fla Starburst Dragon and its Life Base, montarily unable to regain his composure.
He found it hard to believe. A human like Lin Shen, whose cumulative number of rebirths totaled less than ten, had returned unhard from Flarela's clutches and had even tad the Crimson Fla Starburst Dragon, which was an exponentially more difficult feat than just obtaining its Life Base.
An 16 could not even imagine how Lin Shen and his companions had accomplished it.
"Didn't you encounter Flarela?" An 16 couldn't help but ask, thinking this was the only possibility for how Lin Shen and his companions could have returned unscathed.
"We did," Lin Shen nodded in response.
"Then how did you manage to escape alive?" An 16 was at a loss; he couldn't figure out how they did it.
"When we encountered Flarela, we saw her battling an ocean creature that looked like a butterfly..." Lin Shen seamlessly deflected, placing the Blue Light Butterfly creature they had encountered in the depths of the ocean onto Flarela.
After listening to the story, An 16 couldn't help but admire the trio's luck: "You are indeed fortunate. Flarela actually encountered a Nirvana Creature in the Sea of Flas, no wonder it caused such a commotion. Although you didn't witness Flarela being killed by that Nirvana Creature, she hasn't returned yet, so it's likely she t with ill fate.
That was her life… Who would have thought that there were Nirvana Creatures in the Sea of Flas..."
Lin Shen also described how they tad the Crimson Fla Starburst Dragon; of course, that was an entirely different story, and it left everyone marveling continuously at their extraordinary luck.
"You did well. I'll go back and report now. Hand over the Crimson Fla Starburst Dragon to ," An 16 said, reaching out his hand.
"Let's go back together," Tian Xun walked up to Lin Shen and signaled him to take back the Crimson Fla Starburst Dragon.
An 16 frowned slightly but didn't say anything more, just snorted coldly and turned away.
As Tian Xin walked past Lin Shen, he spat on the ground, hands in his pockets, looking up at the sky, and muttered disdainfully, "Dumb luck."
Lin Shen ignored him and walked shoulder to shoulder with Tian Xun.
"It's good that you're back. I will ensure the Crimson Fla Starburst Dragon stays with you, and you'll also have your share in the Ascension Pool. However, how much you benefit from the Ascension Pool will depend on your own abilities," Tian Xun explained the things to take note of when going to the Ascension Pool as they walked.
After they visited the Celestial Court, they should be able to head directly to the Ascension Pool.
For those who entered the Ascension Pool, how much energy they could absorb and how many tis their Life Base could rebirth was variable.
It depended on their Evolution Skill and the power of the Life Base; typically, it allowed a First Turn Life Base to reach between Fifth and Seventh Turn.
Going higher was more challenging. After all, everyone was only allowed to stay inside for 24 hours; ti was limited, and the Life Base itself needed ti for each rebirth.
The initial rebirths required less ti and could usually be completed within 24 hours, but after the Fifth Turn, the ti needed increased significantly, and 24 hours was far from sufficient.
Initially, Tian Xun and Lin Shen thought just going back to the Celestial Court to report was all that was needed, but after they arrived at Sky Pinnacle Star, they were inford that the Heavenly Emperor wanted to et with them in person.
