The giant black gorilla, towering over ten ters tall, emanated a terrifying aura, glaring at Lin Shen and his companion as it roared.
The hamr-shaped Life Base struck down once again, and with Lin Shen's speed falling short by too much, he had no chance to dodge the hamr's blow and could only counter with the Triple Wave Punch head-on.
Upon seeing this, Tian Xin had no ti for second thoughts and imdiately flapped his wings, shooting up into the sky, desperate to escape from above.
Neither the speed nor the strength of the black gorilla was sothing they could match, and even with the Archangel's Sword at Tenth Turn in hand, Tian Xin didn't believe he could defeat the gorilla. After all, he had not yet ascended and couldn't unleash the true might of the Archangel's Sword.
In Tian Xin's view, Lin Shen, who confronted the gorilla's Life Base head-on, was very likely to die.
The black gorilla was at Ascension Level; its strength was formidable by nature, and its Life Base was a massive hamr—an ability that wrought far greater destruction than those of blades and swords.
No matter how strong a Mutator's power, it was difficult to contend with such a Life Base.
He had to escape before Lin Shen was killed; otherwise, he would be the next to die.
To fly atop Giant God Mountain might attract other Ascended Creatures, but Tian Xin didn't have the luxury to worry about that now—survival was the first priority.

Empowered by the Stubborn Lone Will Gauntlets, Lin Shen's Surfing Triple Punch collided with the hamr, shockingly repelling it with sheer force.
Lin Shen quickly advanced towards the giant black gorilla. Without using the Sacrificial Halo, his strength was insufficient to destroy the Life Base; the only way to truly end the battle was to kill the body of the giant black gorilla itself.
Tian Xin, who had fled into the sky, gaped in astonishnt as Lin Shen managed to send the hamr-shaped Life Base reeling with a single punch.
From the speed and power of the hamr Life Base, Tian Xin deduced that the giant black gorilla was certainly beyond First Turn, likely a fifth-turn Ascended or higher.
The gorilla's Life Base might have reached a Strength and speed beyond a hundred, capable of unleashing trendous destructive force. Lin Shen being able to withstand the hamr's strike and even repel it was rather alarming.
"How could he, a Mutator, possess such incredible strength?" Tian Xin wondered, puzzled.
Seeing its hamr-shaped Life Base repelled, the giant black gorilla flew into a rage, thumping its fists against its chest and letting out a deafening roar.
The airborne hamr, now glowing red, struck down at Lin Shen once more.
Lin Shen unleashed the Surfing Triple Punch again, and the collision between his surging Fist Power and the red-glowing hamr created a shockwave that shattered the leaves of nearby Sword Orchids and sent other Base Mutation Gorillas tumbling to the ground in disarray.
Lin Shen himself was forced back several steps by the terrifying shockwave, unsure what skill the giant gorilla used to greatly amplify the hamr's Strength. His punch had gained no advantage and was instead overpowered.
With the giant gorilla's roars fueling its frenzy, the hamr smashed down repeatedly.
Lin Shen could only confront it with Surfing Fist, clashing head-on with the hamr blow after blow. Thankfully, his Fist Power was projected outward, so the force of the impact didn't reverberate back into his body, otherwise the heavy blows could have easily ruined his arms.
Lin Shen could only be grateful that the giant black gorilla was straightforward and temperantal, fixated on pounding him relentlessly with the hamr.
If he were facing a more cunning Ascended Creature who didn't attack head-on but instead utilized speed, Lin Shen would probably have found it much harder to block every strike, and his situation would be even worse than it was now.
After all, Lin Shen's speed was far inferior to that of Ascension Level entities, unlike his Strength which benefited from multiple enhancents.
Tian Xin thought of flying towards the exit in the sky, and just as he was about to reach it, a phantom suddenly flashed across the sky.
Tian Xin was alard in his heart, and hurriedly swung the Archangel's Sword at the phantom.
With a clang, Tian Xin imdiately felt a colossal force transmitted to him, causing him and his sword to tumble through the air together.
Halos appeared above Tian Xin's head, and his body radiated with Holy Light, forcibly stabilizing his form as he caught sight of the phantom striking from above— it was a bizarre Life Base.
The Life Base was square like a brick, yet covered in strange runes that shone with brilliance.
The brick pressed down once again, but Tian Xin, flapping his wings, leveraged the innate flying prowess of the Celestial Race and forcefully dodged the crushing force of the brick.
"Another Ascended Creature has been lured here!" Tian Xin complained to himself, having no clue where that Ascended Creature even was while he was already entangled with the Life Base in the form of the brick.
Compared to Lin Shen, Tian Xin's situation was even worse. Although his flying skills and speed were indeed superior to an average Mutator, with the enhancent of his skills and the Archangel's Sword in hand, fighting an Ascended Creature at the First Turn could potentially result in a counter-kill.
However, this Ascended Creature didn't show itself at all. Tian Xin didn't even know what it looked like, only having to contend with the brick Life Base. If this continued, defeat was inevitable, and sooner or later, it would spell doom.
He tried several tis to break away from the battle and rush towards the exit of the mountain valley, but unfortunately, the brick Life Base blocked him each ti, giving him no chance to flee.
The showdown between Lin Shen and the Hamr was still ongoing. Under the Hamr's rampant bombardnt, Lin Shen similarly couldn't find an opportunity to get close to the gigantic black gorilla for lee combat.
"Do I really have to use the Sacrificial Halo again?" Lin Shen felt sowhat frustrated in his heart.
He had accumulated just over a hundred Attribute points in the Sacrificial Halo, with recent increases being ager. Using it now, he didn't know when he'd be able to accumulate it again.
If he could avoid it, Lin Shen was reluctant to use it.
But glancing at Tian Xin in the sky, who was also entangled by a Life Base, Lin Shen felt that this ti they were really in trouble.
Even if he could use the Sacrificial Halo to deal with the gigantic gorilla, there were an unknown number of Ascended nearby. It wouldn't be easy for them to escape.
"How did they pioneer this place? They said there shouldn't be any Ascended here, yet so many have shown up," Lin Shen couldn't help but feel helpless.
Fortunately, Tian Xin was still able to cope for the ti being, and it wasn't likely to end in disaster before his strength was severely depleted.
Lin Shen feared that their fight would attract even more Ascended Creatures.
"It looks like we can only resolve this quickly." Lin Shen was already preparing to use the Sacrificial Halo to end the fight.
If they could take care of the gigantic black gorilla, the two of them should be able to handle one Ascended Creature. Judging by that brick's strength and speed, it was probably just a standard First Turn Ascended Creature, not as formidable as the gigantic black gorilla. Otherwise, it wouldn't be so sly, hiding and refusing to co out, fighting only with its Life Base.
Just as Lin Shen was about to use the Sacrificial Halo, he suddenly saw a disturbance amongst the black gorillas gathered in the distance.
A large number of the black gorillas seed to have seen sothing terrifying, scrambling to retreat to either side, quickly making way for a figure walking through.
"Another Ascended?" As Lin Shen made out what it was, his expression grew worse, internally cursing the intelligence personnel for their information gathering.
