Chapter 1155: Chapter 1155: Sothing is Wrong

Lin Shen closely examined it and saw there were many tiny characters below.

The characters were scrawled ssily, resembling the trails of crawling insects.

After observing for a while, Lin Shen discovered that these tiny characters actually docunted a skill.

“Sword in Wine, is this a cultivation technique left behind by the Little Wine Emperor?” Lin Shen swung his arm and cut away the nearby roots, but he didn’t find anything else related to the Little Wine Emperor, not even any other man-made object.

Lin Shen thought for a mont, then recorded the Sword in Wine technique etched on the ground to study carefully later.

“Ya-ya-ya!” Little Wine, cradled in Lin Shen’s arms, reached out its hands, asking for the wine gourd.

Unable to find anything noteworthy on the wine gourd, Lin Shen simply handed it to Little Wine to play with.

Little Wine was overjoyed, hugging the wine gourd tightly, rubbing her small face against it like it was a cherished doll.

Lin Shen inspected the cave once more thoroughly and, finding nothing else, imdiately took off and flew away. At the sa ti, he inford Tian Xun and elder sister that he had found Little Wine. To ease their worries, Lin Shen even planned to record a video of Little Wine to send to them.

But as he glanced down, Lin Shen was instantly shocked.

Little Wine was holding the wine gourd with both hands, and at so point, the gourd’s lid had popped open. The little rascal was tilting the gourd, drinking from it.

Lin Shen could even spot liquid dribbling from the corners of her mouth and sll a waft of alcohol in the air.

Lin Shen’s face turned pale with fear as he quickly snatched the wine gourd from her hands.

Who knew what was inside? What if it was poisonous alcohol? Even if it wasn’t poisonous, if this was indeed the wine that the Little Wine Emperor drank, could it possibly be ordinary? Most people probably couldn’t handle it, let alone a baby.

Lin Shen hurriedly examined Little Wine’s body. Luckily, she seed perfectly fine—her condition overly normal, even.

Little Wine stretched out her hands, babbling, still wanting the wine gourd, sparkling drool trickling from her mouth.

“My darling daughter, this isn’t sothing you can drink. Let’s go ho and have so milk,” Lin Shen muttered, his gaze lingering on the wine gourd, suspicion brewing in his mind.

He had struggled with all his might earlier and couldn’t open the wine gourd’s lid. Why had it suddenly opened now?

The lid remained ajar, and peering into the gourd, he could see liquid inside.

Lin Shen intended to pour out so of the liquid to investigate what kind of wine it was. Although it slled appealing, Lin Shen wasn’t much of a drinker and couldn’t discern if it was ordinary wine.

While not a connoisseur, Lin Shen’s eyes were sharper than any microscope. If the wine contained any impurities, it wouldn’t escape his scrutiny.

But as he tried to pour it out, nothing ca out. Despite there clearly being liquid inside, and quite a lot at that, no matter how he shook it, not a drop erged.

“How strange! Why isn’t it coming out? Does it have to be siphoned out by mouth?” Lin Shen pondered as he considered trying to suck it out.

However, before his lips could touch the wine gourd, the lid moved on its own and snapped shut with a *pop*.

“What the—?! This thing actually has a will of its own?” Startled, Lin Shen attempted to pry the lid open again, but it wouldn’t budge.

“Little Wine, open it,” Lin Shen said suspiciously, handing the wine gourd to her.

Ecstatic, Little Wine hugged the gourd tightly and reached out to grab its lid, easily twisting it open again. She imdiately tried to drink from it once more.

Lin Shen quickly snatched the gourd away, trying again to extract so of the wine.

But as soon as the gourd returned to his hands, the wine retreated inside, not a single drop spilling out. Lin Shen’s plan was thwarted.

Little Wine’s lips quivered, and her eyes began to well up with glistening tears as if they could fall at any mont.

“Sweetheart, don’t cry… look at this instead…” Lin Shen hastily pulled out so snacks and toys from his Space Capsule to distract her.

After managing to calm Little Wine down, he looked back at the wine gourd and found that its lid had sohow closed itself again.

“Could this thing have chosen its master?” Lin Shen mused, unsure if this was a bad thing. Perhaps it was a sign of fortune for his daughter.

Just as he was pondering, a sudden burp broke the silence, followed by the distinct aroma of wine.

Looking down, he saw it was Little Wine who had hiccupped. While he wasn’t watching, who knew how much she had managed to drink from the gourd?

Little Wine’s face was flushed with an unnatural redness, and an unusual energy began to emanate from her body.

This startled Lin Shen, for the energy radiating from Little Wine was at a level comparable to that of an Immortal being and was still climbing.

Conflicted, Lin Shen was astounded. Both he and Tian Xun had excellent genes, but the idea that they could have naturally given birth to a daughter at the Immortal level seed too far-fetched to believe.

After all, in the Ancient Realm, over countless years, the highest recorded innate level at birth was Nirvana, and that was limited to Di Esi.

No one had ever heard of a child born Immortal—unless they were deities of the Celestial Court.

The energy rippling through Little Wine was now alarming. Lin Shen estimated that she was already on par with a Dharma King.

Yet, despite this imnse power, Little Wine’s body showed no signs of strain.

Lin Shen closely monitored her, and it seed her body bore no burden from this trendous energy.

Suddenly, Little Wine broke free from his arms, spinning 1,080 degrees mid-air before landing steadily on the ground with both feet.

Up until now, Little Wine had only been able to crawl, yet here she stood, albeit wobbling as though intoxicated.

Concerned, Lin Shen moved to pick her up. Although she appeared physically fine, her current state was undoubtedly abnormal.

Before he could approach, Little Wine began to move. Her footsteps were unsteady, akin to a drunken wanderer swaying left and right, her body teetering as if she were a lotus leaf trembling in the wind.

Lin Shen stood frozen, watching her dart around the cave, seemingly aimless. Yet, he sensed an inexplicable profundity in her movents.

“Could this be…” Lin Shen’s eyes narrowed as he flipped through the notes of the Sword in Wine technique he had recorded. Upon closer inspection, he realized that Little Wine’s current motions bore an uncanny resemblance to parts of the technique.

His gaze at Little Wine darkened. Suspicions crept into his heart—was his daughter still the sa, or had her body been taken over by so entity?

His eyes sharpened, and he gripped the trembling wine gourd that seed eager to fly away. His fingers tightened, and no matter how it struggled, it couldn’t escape his grasp.

*Bang!*

The wine gourd’s lid suddenly shot open, and a jet of liquor burst out like a sword.
