Chapter 23 Long Live the Boss
"Yiteng Yun?" Chen Fan shouted excitedly.
"Is there a problem with my na?" Yiteng Yun frowned slightly. He had always found it offensive when soone talked about his na.
"No problem at all. Co, let’s get the contract signed!"
"Hmm...let take a look at the contract.There’s sothing strange about the business your company is running." Yiteng Yun looked carefully at the company’s profile and had a strange look on his face. Is this actually a company that helps people solve their problems in the sea? I hope it’s not a scam!
"It’s difficult to make it big nowadays if we don’t find so innovative business to do! Other easy businesses have all been snatched up by others, so our company decided to venture out on another path!" Chen Fan gave Yiteng Yun an innocent look.
After reading through the contract carefully twice and discovering no signs of illegal money use, Yiteng Yun readily signed the contract. It was obvious that the contract was written up by an amateur, so there was no great risk signing it. He was barely tempting his luck. After he handed over one of the two copies of the signed contract, Chen Fan was extrely pleased.
"I saw soone also called Yiteng Yun who comnted on a post on House of Seas forum...was that you?"
"Yeah, that guy was really silly to ask such a shallow question." Yiteng Yun curled his lip.
Chen Fan forced a laugh and did not respond to him.
"Since you’re now part of our company, you have to perform well and show so results!" Chen Fan adjusted his tone to sound like a boss, "First, go get two bottles of mineral water. It’s been two hours and I’m dying from thirst!"
"Umm," Yiteng Yun looked as if he had just eaten a fly.
"Excuse , are you still hiring website technician?n I’m Yu Lin." After Yuteng Yun left, a young man almost the sa age as Chen Fan ca over.
"Ahem..." Seeing business knocking at the door again, Chen Fan sat up straight and told the young gentleman who looked like he just stepped into high society, "This position has just been taken, but why don’t you apply for the position of operations manager? Our managers are paid very well, including overti rewards, holiday bonuses, and a year’s end bonus!"
"But I’m only good with the computer. Things like setting up and maintaining a website are not a problem, but I’m really not good at anything else."
"What does that matter? No one knows everything. Just be an operations manager for now, and wait till the company expands. When it does, you’ll be one of the originals, and I’ll let you have full authority over the website!" Chen Fan rambled.
"Then do I have to pay any fees?" Yu Lin touched his nose. There were too many money cheating scamrs disguised as recruiters these days, and one could easily fall prey to them if not careful.
"No fees required. You just need to sign this contract and you’ll officially beco a part of our company!"
"Haha, your company’s business is...really unique!" Chen Fan shot him a "but of course" expression before happily taking the signed contract from Yu Lin’s hands.
"Yu Lin...hmm, it’s a good na. One look and I know that you’re a knowledgeable person! Co over and stand in for , I need to go stretch my legs. All we need now is a female receptionist. She only needs to have a sweet voice; the other things are not important!"
"Umm..." Yu Lin was speechless...

"It’s aweso being a boss!" Chen Fan looked leisurely at Yu Lin blabbering to the girls who were here for interviews as he drank the mineral water Yiteng Yun bought. He felt good.
"Boss, what do you think of her? She just dropped out from Soochow University and ca here to work." Yu Lin pointed at one of the won.
"Hello sir!" The pretty girl looked around the sa age as Chen Fan. She was dressed in plain-looking clothes and it looked like her family was not well-to-do.
"Sure, of course!" Chen Fan had wanted to say she would be perfect as his secretary, but since he was now a boss, he had to act like one. "Alright, since we’re done with the recruitnt, let’s go to the office!"
In the cab, everyone, with the exception of Chen Fan, was a little reserved, probably embarrassed by all the new people. After getting out, Chen Fan pointed at the sixteen-story gray comrcial building behind him. "This is our company. What do you think, stylish?"
Whoa...this...we’re gonna strike it rich! Everyone thought. No one had expected this ordinary-looking young boss to actually own such a large company! Could he be so rich man’s son gaining experience in society? Yes, that must be it! Only rich and powerful families would give their children money when they reached 20 and let them try to make it in business. Sotis in these families, the most outstanding child gets to take over a huge family business!
"Boss, are you...are you still hiring? I have a neighbor who’s also a recent graduate, and she’s a professional accountant." Chen Fan’s only female employee Zhang Lele stared at him in an adoring manner. There was a pleading tone in her sweet voice. It seed like she was very close to this neighbor.
"Well...we don’t need anyone for now." Chen Fan shrugged and said with slight apologies.
"Oh..."
"But we will soon! Believe , our company will definitely grow by leaps and bounds within a short period of ti!" He quickly added, seeing Zhang Lele’s pitiful pout.
"Yes!" The three subordinates nodded in unison, looking like they had complete trust in him. With such a big facade, it’s difficult not to do well!
"Co, I’ll bring you to look at our office!" Their expressions changed as they walked through the building. First there was excitent, then uncertainty, and finally disappointnt.
"Boss, you an there’s only four of us in the entire company?!" Yu Lin finally asked after much hesitation.
Chen Fan spread out his hands and said, "Isn’t this obvious?"
"Boss, do we have a share in these three desks with computers?" Although disappointed, Zhang Lele saw the brand new desks and computers and had the urge to sit down. Aren’t white-collared workers in movies similar to this?
Yiteng Yun did not say anything. Since he had already gotten himself in, he might as well stay on. Anyway the working environnt was not too bad and he had computers to play with.
"Lele, the computer beside the door at the north side is yours. Yu Lin, you shall sit at the one on the left. Yiteng Yun, your seat is on the right!" After arranging the seats according to what he had previously planned, Chen Fan sat at a higher table facing the sunlight.
"Ahem! Now, I have a few announcents to make!" Chen Fan pounded on the table and got the three’s attention, "From tomorrow onward, we work from 8:00 am to 11:30, and then from 2:30 to 5:30 if there’s no overti work. Overti pay will be 20 RMB per hour!"
"Yay, long live the boss!" Zhang Lele clapped happily.
"Work hard everyone. Good food awaits us!" Chen Fan enjoyed being complinted. "I’ll treat everyone lunch!"
"Boss you’re so cool!" Yu Lin fawned as he rubbed his hands together. Yiteng Yun also could not hide his excitent, but he controlled himself and did not make any noise.
There was a good restaurant called Phoenix just beside the office building where people from nearby companies frequently hosted their clients, and the place was considered to be classy. At noon, Chen Fan led the three employees to Phoenix Restaurant for a feast. At the table, they each promised to do their best for the company!
The al ended just after 1:00 in the afternoon. Chen Fan belched as he stepped into the office, and the employees followed behind with satisfied faces. After chatting until 2:00, Chen Fan grinned and said, "Everyone, let’s get to work!"
"Boss, just give us instructions and we will follow them!" Zhang Lele was full of excitent. She had dropped out of college and found a good-paying job easily, and, more importantly, this young boss was really great!
"The mission is very simple!" Chen Fan took out a pile of pamphlets from under the desk, "Here’s a thousand copies of advertisents I got soone to print yesterday. Your mission this afternoon is to paste them all over the streets!"
