"Oh, oh, ohhh!" King Julius was stupefied. He approached Flora, his hands trying to grab her. "Are you really my daughter?"
Flora chuckled. "I am your daughter."
"Are you..." King Julius examined her appearance. Although there wasn’t much change in her physical appearance, the atmosphere around her had bee much more distant. It was as if she had bee something beyond him or anyone else in this world.
Flora nodded. "I have finished my divine rules and forged my divine body. In a way, I can’t be considered a mortal anymore, considering my physical body won’t age after this point.
"Well, I still need time to fully consolidate my power as a divine being, but I guess I have indeed bee one of them."
King Julius had expected that she would bee one sooner or later, but it was still surprising to hear it with his own ears.
His daughter admitted that she had bee a goddess.
In other words, he had bee the father of a goddess.
"I..." King Julius wondered what he should do. On the one hand, since there was a living goddess in front of him, different from any familiars, he should probably kneel. On the other hand, he was still her father.
"You don’t have to do that, Father."
"Eh?" King Julius widened his eyes.
"You don’t have to kneel or anything."
’Did he read my mind?’
"You’re probably thinking whether I read your mind or not, but I don’t. However, my senses have transcended the mortal limit, so your heartbeat, your movement, or other things that will indicate your thoughts can be perceived in one way or another." Flora shook her head helplessly.
"This..." He scratched the back of his head, feeling embarrassed.
"In any case, I’d like to inform you that I’m leaving. However, before leaving, I will etch my name in this world, not in front of everyone, but in front of the world itself. In other words, if I die in the future, you may be able to summon me back into this world."
"Die..." King Julius froze.
"I’ve told you about the kind of enemy we’re going to face. No one can guarantee that we will win against such a being. We will do our best and never give up, but the oute is not clear. That’s why I want to inform you of that.
"However, as a deity, I need my own title. That’s why I pick a certain name. Goddess of Myriad Spirits. It’s a bit embarrassing to say it, but that’s my title. Just lock the name in the corner of the library or something.
"Also, don’t make a religion out of me. It’s embarrassing."
"No religion?" King Julius looked sad.
She sighed. "In any case, I am here to give you a few things."
Flora took out five items.
"The first item is a scroll. If it’s opened, it will be destroyed. As long as you don’t open it, the contract will remain active. This contract will remain glowing as long as I’m still alive. Once all the light vanishes, it means that I’ve died."
"This..." King Julius didn’t exactly want to keep this, but he might not have had another choice. He just hoped that there wouldn’t e a day where the light from this scroll disappeared.
"The second item is this." Flora took out a tiara.
"Isn’t this your favorite tiara?"
"Yes. This was Mother’s most precious tiara that she gave me. I kept using it whenever I had to act as the crown princess. This could be a symbol of me, so keep it safe. It will bee the symbol to summon me in the future... Of course, we may succeed in defeating the enemy, so at that time, I will take back this tiara."
"Why don’t you just bring it with you?"
"It’s better for the royal family to have it. Besides, the other three are infused by my own powers." Flora showed a scepter, a box, and a bracelet. "This scepter has been infused by my will, so you can probably consider it a divine artifact. It will unleash a powerful lightning bolt that I’ve stored inside.
"Of course, this is better used defensively or against the aliens. If you misuse it to flaunt your strength or threaten others for your own greed, you should give up the idea of summoning me. After all, the first thing I will do after the summoning is to figure out what you or the descendants do with this scepter.
"My power wants me to remain impartial, so I’ll judge not by the blood they have in their veins but by the justice they have in their heart.
"This box is a defensive ability that can create a barrier to protect someone from a deity like me, even at their full strength. As long as it’s not a deity stronger than me, it should be fine.
"Last but not least, I would like you to give this bracelet to my mother. I hope that it can protect her or the person the bracelet has been entrusted with."
King Julius frowned. "Why don’t you give it to your mother directly?"
"You know my mother. If she finds me like this..."
"Well..." King Julius thought for a moment before handing the bracelet back. "No. Rather than giving it to your mother, you should give this to your aunt. Ask her to give it to your mother. This also allows you to say goodbye to your aunt."
Flora closed her eyes while smiling. "I understand. Let’s go with that."
King Julius paused for a moment. In the end, he couldn’t contain his curiosity. "Really... No religion? How about a secret religion for the people related to the royal family? Maybe for the people who are working in the castle?"
"There is no blessing I can give. There is no medium, and I don’t have time to create that medium." Flora obviously had no temple. Without it, she would only receive fate from the believers without being able to give it back.
In that case, sooner or later, she would be receiving bad karma or people would forget about her.
That was why Flora rejected the idea.
King Julius sighed. "I understand."
No one could predict whether the religion of the Goddess of Myriad Spirits would be established or not in the far future.
