742 The playful vampire and the impatient wolf girls

“It is futile to continue asking because the five familiars’ training thod can not be disclosed.” The representative clicked his tongue and added, *Tsk* “Only my employers can share the secret if they desire to.”

The comntator frowned. He was curious to know what was happening. He had the urge to uncover the reason why the three bears remained and why they grew larger.

*ROAR!* Three loud roars sounded in sync with each other, causing all eyes to land on them.

Their voices sounded husky, as if each bear had a dry throat. Faint yellow steam escaped from their opened mouths as if sothing inside their body was burning.

The three bears had grown by about thirty percent of their original size. Multiple cracks were on their skin as if they had expanded more than their bodies could allow.

Their eyes shone yellow with a faint greenish gleam. From their larger hardened body rose multiple faint trails of yellow steam.

Darwin knew what was happening because he could see their status window. Three people in the royal area didn’t need to see the bear’s status window to grasp what had happened to them.

*Bam!* Vlad angrily hit the chair’s armrest. The sll didn’t deceive his nose. He could sll three new living beings with the stench of mutated blood.

“Special training, my bottom. The bears ca from the Seers of rebirth!” Karta angrily said.

.....

“I thought they sowhat resembled a wolf I killed while coming here. That strange demonic beast could only die in a few specific thods.” Luciano added while revealing he had also encountered a mutated demonic beast.

“Do any of you know what is happening?” The king asked.

“I want to know too! Please do not tell the Lionheart team is in danger?” Anna requested after her father spoke.

“I will explain.” Said Karta.

“Vincent killed an undead demonic beast with strangely high regeneration to save a clan of Dullahans and a lot of Cefeyes.”

The king, Anna, Bilka, and Luciano, looked at Karta. They appeared to be surprised after hearing Vincent had slain what sounded to be a powerful monster.

Anna and Bilka could now understand how Vincent gained a Dullahan wife in less than a week’s ti. They also started to wonder what happened to the Cefeye race since most of the things related to Vincent were beyond common sense.

Karta moved her gaze onto Vlad and continued, “When I t Vincent, who was unconscious from his injuries at the ti, I also t with Vlad and his daughter, now Mimi Lionheart.”

“We concluded the Seers of Rebirth were the cause for the sudden appearance of demonic beasts with high regenerative powers. Encountering the undead made us certain it was them since necromancers mostly join them.”

“Does it an Vincent will be able to beat them?” Anna asked Karta. She looked at her with a hopeful gaze. She hoped no one from the Lionheart family would get injuries that could not be healed.

“Ahem... one way or another, he has the power to beat them. ” Karta responded vaguely.

The king snapped his fingers. A man wearing dark clothes appeared behind the king’s seat. The man looked like an assassin or a thief.

“I have heard enough to understand the team against the Lionheart family has possibly dabbled in banned materials. Go and tell the heads of each family mber to et . Additionally, tell the others to find all the details they can find about the familiars.” The king ordered.

“I am sorry to say this, your majesty, but the heads of the noble families you request are not in the city anymore.” The shadow leader inford.

“What do you an not here?” The king asked with a slightly angered tone.

“I received reports that the five noble families coincidently found a business opportunity in the sa few days in Selos City. They left while leaving their sons involved in the judgnt by combat and a couple of newly recruited servants. They also took extra carriages. So were filled with servants who served for years, and others had a lot of cases.”

“You may leave and try to find anything they missed taking with them.” The king ordered. After his last word was said, the shadow leader blurred and disappeared.

*Sigh* “Your majesty, shall I leave to capture them?” Asked Karta. She didn’t look too happy to stop watching the judgnt by combat to catch a lot of people and possibly their treasures.

The king gently shook his head. “There is no need. Furthermore, you can remain here since I do not want to bother my old friend to act if anything happened.”

“Looks like today might be a long day. ” Luciano comnted.

Vlad glared at the bears while being displeased.

Vlad wanted to hunt the nobles heading for their supposed business opportunity. Yet, he wanted to see his daughter compete in the judgnt by combat.

Mimi was fighting against two gladiators. They were Slaveone and aty. Slaveone was the weakest out of the five gladiators, and the other was between the second and third strongest out of the five.

Mimi’s weapon of choice was a rapier and a buckler. Because it was a weapon of precision, it wasn’t a great match-up against two experienced gladiators wielding a shield.

Mimi didn’t have a variety of attack patterns because of the limitations of her chosen weapon, yet in the hands of an expert, any weapon can shine. She wasn’t at a disadvantage, yet she wasn’t showing an advantage in her fight either.

Mimi attacked relentlessly, making her rapier look like a short whip. However, the teamwork of the two gladiators was higher than she expected. Both covered for each other. When one attacked, the other made sure to intercept Mimi’s counterattack.

Both gladiators were moving more than Mimi, as if they were the ones who needed to keep up with her instead of the other way around. In the end, Mimi and the two gladiators were at a standstill.

The gladiators were finding it difficult to land an attack on Mimi while she strangely didn’t use any skill to enhance her rapier. She was only using her raw power to fight, and her father’s sidestepping evasive technique.

Try as they might, the elusive busty vampire could not be touched. Whenever the one gladiator thought Mimi was slashed, pierced, or bashed by their attacks, they would notice the gladiator beside them trying to land an attack on the real Mimi.

The more this happened, the more blurry her body beca. The trick was to evade an attack before it landed on her body. The more Mimi got used to their physical limitations and attack patterns, the more she could sidestep at the last mont.

Vlad crossed his arms, and a frown appeared on his face. “Why is she training her sidestepping technique instead of killing them?” He murmured grumpily.

Not too far from Mimi was Lupa fighting aggressively against two gladiators. They were Speedy and Punchingbag. Speedy had the highest speed, and the other had the highest perception.

Lupa’s fight was different than Mimi’s fight. It was like night and day. Lupa had less power than Mimi, and her opponents were stronger than Mimi’s opponents.

Unlike Mimi standing in front of the gladiators to evade their attacks, Lupa moved without a pattern, causing the two gladiators’ teamwork to perform subpar.

Additionally, during the past few days, Lucas had taught Lupa new ways to hunt when outnumbered and use her disadvantage to her advantage. However, such training made Lenn and Renn more terrified to spar with Lupa than before.

With the new way to combat the advantage of being outnumbered, Lupa remained on high alert. When she deed both opponents were too close to one another, she would attempt to force the gladiators to attack each other. But after a while, Lupa beca impatient to see the two gladiators beco careful of her plan.

Lupa covered her claws with energy flow and parried Speedy’s sword slash powered by Wild Blow. She smirked before her eyes shone golden, and her face beca expressionless.

At that abrupt mont, Lupa swiftly forced the direction of the sword to change. The swinging sword pushed by Lupa’s claws headed swiftly toward the highly perceptive Punchingbag.

*Clang* Both swords clashed, but none of them were injured.

Speedy let go of his sword and used his speed to swiftly shield bash, Lupa. On the other hand, Punchingbag moved his blade and thrust at Lupa. While doing so, he used his knee to kick the tip of Speedy’s falling sword at Lupa.

Lupa didn’t show any emotion. She coldly gazed upon them even when three attacks were about to land on her body. She jumped and kicked the shield approaching her. She used it as a stepping stone to jump away from them.

Lupa landed on all fours after evading all three sudden attacks. She stood straight, and her eyes returned to normal.

*Tsk* “I am unhappy that I can’t beat them quickly. I do not think my mate will pet on the head today because of them.” Lupa murmured while glaring at the two gladiators.

Lupa spoke as if this was a speed run, and she needed to be the first to defeat her opponents to receive a prize from Vincent.

Lupa noticed Ester fighting behind her opponents. She glanced behind her and noticed Mimi still had yet to defeat a single opponent, as well.

Lupa grinned, and her tail wagged. She extended her hand and flipped the finger.

“Co here. I want to beat you, humans, now...” She said before becoming impatient and leaping at the gladiators for round two.
