Vincent focused his gaze and scanned the five potions in front of him. The result appearing in the inspection window surprised both him and Kazumi.

The potions were incredible and looked fascinating with their multi-effect concept. However, they looked like they were in an abandoned developnt phase.
[These potions look great... but why didn’t you use Third Eye skill?] Kazumi curiously asked.
-I tried many tis, but it didn’t work. I think it might be because they are incomplete.-
[Sha. Sigh.] Kazumi didn’t sound too happy because her curiosity couldn’t be satiated.
“One mont. I will bring an inspection gemstone. It should be sowhere on the left?... no. Right pile? or...”
“There is no need Eros. I have a similar ability to lord Darwin. I can see that these potions are incomplete.” Vincent interrupted.
“Incomplete... really?” Eros stared at Vincent with a surprised expression. “Are you able to identify their effects? No other ans I tried worked.” He asked with great curiosity.
[Well, if Third Eye didn’t work, then there is a high chance an inspection gemstone might not work either.] Kazumi concluded from Eros’s emotional tone.
Vincent shook his head. “My ability ntions the word incomplete beside the na, grade, and effects. But I don’t see anything important than the nas of the effects.” He honestly responded.
“Hahaha.” Eros started laughing out of the blue.
Vincent and Lilith looked at each other with confused expressions. ‘What has gotten into him?’ Both thought at the sa ti.
When Vincent and Lilith confird how both of them didn’t understand what was happening, they smiled at each other while shrugging their shoulders.
Eros stopped a minute later. *Cough, cough* “Apologies, but I haven’t had a good laugh in months. ” He explained while wiping tears from his eyes.
“Is there a reason for laughing?” Vincent curiously asked for himself, Kazumi, and Lilith. The three of them were curious about the sudden outburst of laughter.
“Lord Darwin nor an inspection gemstone could detect anything wrong with the potions. Only you told they were incomplete without even holding the potion in your hand for a second.” Eros explained the reason for his delighted laughing.
Eros reclined on his chair and looked at the ceiling as if whatever was troubling him had disappeared.
“Thanks to you, Vincent, I have learned why my five original dium quality potions were practically failures. Incomplete is a word I sotis had at the back of my mind whenever I looked at them.”
Vincent beca curious about why Eros considered the five original potions precious. “Does it an you knew the potions wouldn’t work as intended?” He curiously asked.
Eros pointed at the potions in the pitchers and the chemistry glassware. “I made many original minor potions like the Bloody Heart Pump potion, but these five can not be created again with my funds.”
Vincent and Kazumi were surprised to find out how the potion Vincent took twice was only available in the academy. It was one of Eros’s original potions.
Eros pointed at the potions in the small unlocked box and continued, “Inside the five potions are the most expensive ingredients I could find that matched with what I desired to make.”
“Are you saying they cost a lot of money to sell?” Vincent asked with his lips slightly wet from drool. He believed original dium-quality potions could cost a fortune if the materials used were expensive.
“Yes. ” Eros answered with a slightly disappointed tone. He reclined on his chair again, and a frown appeared on his face. “I rember the ti lord Darwin saved from black market thugs.”
“To condense the vapor of liquified ingredients is a rare skill. To use it takes ti and dedication, but because I find it pleasant to do want others can’t, I mastered it in my mid-twenties.” Eros proudly said with a frown. As if that was the beginning of his suffering.
[Does it an Eros created original potions in the past, and he sold them for a high price on the black market?] Kazumi guessed.
“I was young when I thought I could make money and create even better potions with my average alchemy skills. ” Eros revealed how Kazumi was right on the mark.
Eros spent the next couple of minutes explaining how he was saved by Darwin and offered a safe place to live in. Furthermore, to have a safe place for making as many original potions as he desired.
After Eros recounted his past, he let out a long sigh. He ntioned how after the original dium-quality potions weren’t functioning as intended, his minor-quality originals were starting to look like failures in his eyes.
Fortunately, before Eros slowly spiraled into depression, an excessively outgoing girl that teased everyone with every sentence knocked on his door one day.
His situation changed because of the appearance of Honey and her request to work for him and sell his potions for a small cut.
Eros was happy at first, and life returned to his creative soul. The money allowed him to purchase expensive ingredients and stop making original potions with cheap ingredients.
However, no matter what expensive ingredients Eros used, the five original potions currently in the small unlocked box remained ineffective as the original dium potions made with cheap ingredients.
Later, Darwin suggested that Eros should start again from the beginning, but Eros kept pushing his plan to start from scratch for a later day. Soon, the small box with five original dium-quality potions was hidden sowhere in the room and left untouched.
“Vincent and Lilith Lionheart. eting the two of you is like a fateful encounter. ” Eros said with a content smile.
Eros carefully pushed the small unlocked box in front of Lilith and continued, “All the years I spent saving money and successfully refining each ingredient into an original potion will now be in your hands.”

Lilith felt intimidated now that she knew the monetary and emotional value of the potions.
*Gulp* “I am starting to feel that your gift is both the potions and a part of your life.” Lilith nervously expressed.
Lilith grabbed the box and placed it in front of Vincent. “Please take care of the potions.” She requested while moving her hands away nervously.
Eros saw the small box in front of Vincent. He smiled and gave the impression of looking at Vincent as if he was his savior.
“I realized how I should remove what was holding back and start anew like how Lilith did. I will refine my skills before attempting to make a new original potion. That will be my new goal.” The determined to succeed, Eros said with passion in his voice.
After Eros’s situation was over, Vincent asked about the Soul Growth Potion, but the answer was as vague as the transparent potion itself.
“Maybe it will lift your spirits?” Eros bluntly said.
The idea of the potion had begun when Eros was at his lowest. At that ti, he wanted to lift his spirits. The idea was, if his soul grew strong, he could feel better and hopefully figure out why his original potions had problems.
“What does growth an in a potion?” Vincent asked.
“Normally, growth in potions refers to a gradual increase of a stat of function. For example, strength growth gives three stat points, but it will keep providing one strength at random intervals. Sotis it takes days, weeks, or months.”
“These types of potions are different from the instant increase potions. Furthermore, growth type potions usually give ten to twenty percent extra value at the end.”
Eros noticed how Lilith was slightly arching her brows as if she didn’t understand.
“Ahem. To keep it simple, the growth-type potions give more value, but the duration could last one year. Thus, everyone prefers instant increase potions.”
After Eros explained, he felt parched from talking a lot. “Want another hot chocolate?” He offered, to which he received a quick, “Yes, please.”
Later, Vincent touched the table and focused his senses. The potions glowed green, and the particles flew into his hand.
This act caught Eros off guard, and he stared non-stop and was inspired to make an object glow potion. He had a long way to control his creative spirit.
