Peter Brown was studying his Heavenly Dao Technique in the inn, while also adjusting his Body Refining Technique. Now he needed to appear as if he was at the Third Level of Body Refining.
After a day, when Peter Brown stepped outside, the teahouse was already abuzz with discussions.
By this ti, Peter Brown had realized he didn’t need to worry about the Harrison clan. The two deceased mbers of the Harrison clan were newcors here, even if they found out he was the one who sent them in, they probably wouldn’t inform the family, nor would they have ti to do so. Additionally, Peter had erased their imprints, making it even more unlikely for anyone to associate him with the incident.
Sipping on tea, Peter reviewed the entire situation once more. He confird that he had transferred the imprints to others. The two mbers from the Harrison clan had arrogantly pursued the people without notifying their clan. Given their pride, they presumably wouldn’t ntion this incident, as they viewed it as simply capturing a sealed individual.
Thinking about this, Peter’s lips curled into a smile; he had made the situation more complicated than necessary, and there was no need to worry so much.
Indeed, as Peter listened to the whispers of the people around him, he felt even more assured. The focus of everyone’s attention was on the large hole created by the Heavenly Disaster, and hardly anyone was paying attention to the Ruin Market.
Peter thoughtfully calculated the distance between his location and that place, nodding silently; it was quite a distance. If an ordinary cultivator tried to fly there desperately, it would take considerable ti. At their speed, they might have only covered half the distance, while the families had already received notifications and were conducting thorough investigations everywhere.
"Waiter, I’ve been in closed-door cultivation for a while. Can you tell what’s been happening outside?"
Peter tossed a Life Stone to the waiter.
Receiving the Life Stone, the waiter’s eyes sparkled, and he smiled, "The biggest news in the Ruin Market right now is about the Heavenly Disaster. You wouldn’t believe it, so major event occurred inside the mine; it’s said that soone was crossing a Heavenly Tribulation in there. The tribulation was so aweso, it blasted a Sky Pit right through the mine, incredibly powerful! It shattered the ground all the way to the tribulation site, a hole a kiloter wide! Now, strong persons from various families have rushed over, even experts from the Great Void Sect are there. Although the families sealed the mine imdiately, they still haven’t found the one who crossed the tribulation."
"What kind of Heavenly Disaster could be so aweso, you must be exaggerating." Peter exclaid in feigned surprise.
One of the two people at the next table turned to Peter and said, "Friend, what the waiter said is indeed true. At first, I didn’t believe it either, but I have connections who’ve seen it. The Heavenly Disaster is truly terrifying; the kiloter-wide Sky Pit appeared. The family and sect formation turned into worthless fragnts."
"Thank you for the clarification, friend. Why don’t we sit together for a chat? I’m Peter Brown." Peter smiled at the two people.
"I’m Charlie Green, and this is my friend Jose."
"Waiter, bring us a pot of good tea. I’m treating my two new friends."
Peter moved over to join them.
Everyone exchanged greetings and sat down.
Charlie Green looked at Peter and asked, "Which family do you belong to?"
Everyone here was captured. By asking which family one belonged to, it was clear who had brought them here."
"Harrison, I ca from the First Heaven."
"Oh."
Even Jose, who hadn’t said anything, raised his head to look at Peter.
Charlie Green exclaid in surprise, "You actually ca from the First Heaven!"
Peter explained so of his situation,
After listening, Jose said, "Didn’t expect such a situation, good riddance! These families are utterly arrogant. They cover the heavens with one hand, oppressing everyone with the backing of sect influence. They will face clan eradication sooner or later!"
It was clear this person held deep resentnt towards the families.
Peter glanced at them both, seeing they had switched to practicing Body Refining Techniques.
"I’ve been wondering, families place people in places like this but still allow participation in large-scale competitions. Aren’t they worried about these individuals growing in the sect and seeking revenge?"
This was sothing Peter Brown had never fully understood.
Charlie Green sighed, "Afraid, of course they are. But it’s a rule of the sect. You should know, the sect uses this thod to intimidate so families. However, families have their own thods too. Once soone in the sect shows growth potential, they employ tactics to eliminate them. We might be one person entering, but they have an entire family, and their power in the sect is significant."
"Isn’t it problematic, though, if they capture individuals belonging to major powers, wouldn’t that lead to clan eradication?"
"The Great Void promised that if a power eradicates a family, the Great Void Sect will uproot that power."
Peter secretly shook his head, knowing despite many asures, families remained at risk.
Jose said, "A family isn’t simple; to be a powerful family, they wouldn’t fear trouble. Many families have their strong persons on guard. Don’t worry about them; as you advance, they advance too. And their network far exceeds what you can compare. For us, entering the sect is the top priority. Upgrading ourselves as much as possible is key."
Peter thought for a mont and could only nod. That was indeed the case, families are the most potent force under the sect. Besides the sect, it’s likely families; all powers dare not act rashly, except for those with imnse potential for growth. At that ti, families might offer apologies or even use so sect power for reconciliation.
Charlie Green smiled wryly, "Peter, our elixir seas are sealed. Honestly, even if the sect unseals them, our paths are likely not the Body Refining path. This path is tough, with limited growth potential. To repair the area below the navel, we need Restoration Pills, which are extrely expensive. Moreover, we must repair it within five years; otherwise, even with a Restoration Pill, it can’t be restored properly."
Peter suddenly grasped the aning behind the words, families were least worried about this issue. Not everyone could repair the area below the navel, aning not many people could grow.
A deep calculation indeed!
