214: Chapter 214: A Big Event 214: Chapter 214: A Big Event After driving for a while, Peter Brown thought of a problem: he had driven Edward Martin’s car only past the toll booth but not out of the toll station.

As long as the video recording is checked, it can be easily traced.

Given Henry Martin’s capabilities, he would probably be able to get a hold of the footage.

Thinking it over, Peter decided not to bother too much and just let them figure it out on their own.

After exiting the toll station, Peter drove to a place near the university and found a quiet spot to leave Edward’s car.

He then took the other car and headed towards the school.

Looking back on what had just happened, Peter secretly laughed: even if Henry and his allies hadn’t seen him driving out, they couldn’t say anything once they found this car, as it was indeed here.

As Peter registered for school, the car accident involving Edward and his group had caused quite a headache for the authorities.

At first, the traffic police thought it was just an ordinary accident and didn’t treat it as a big deal.

However, as they investigated the driver’s identity, the car plate number alard them.

Soon after making so calls, it was confird that the driver was none other than the son of the province’s leader.

What a big deal!

The officer in charge broke into a sweat as soon as he received this news.

This was too big of an issue, and he had no idea how to handle it.

With gritted teeth, he reported the situation to his superiors, and eventually, Henry Martin found out.

At that ti, Henry was in his office reviewing docunts.

After assuming this position of power, his authority had increased, and as a result, he had more responsibilities.

Upon receiving the call from the traffic police leader, Henry initially responded casually, only to exclaim loudly afterwards: “What did you say?”

After confirming the ssage again, Henry suddenly lost his spirit, never having expected sothing like this to happen.

The first thought that crossed his mind was of Peter Brown.

“Tell the details.

What exactly happened?”

There were three people in the car, driven by Edward.

Before the collision, it was estimated that the passengers in the car had fought with each other.

Edward had been punched by a man and hit his head, causing the car to lose control and crash into a truck.

The traffic police had already conducted a thorough analysis of the incident, and the officer relayed this information to Henry.

“So it’s not an external issue?”

“No, we deployed our strongest personnel to investigate and ruled out any interference from outsiders.

We just don’t know why the people in the car started fighting each other.

Edward didn’t participate in the fight; he was punched by a man nad Oren Martin, and after hitting his head on the steering wheel, he lost control of the car and crashed into the truck ahead.”

It wasn’t man-made!

Henry was stunned.

Why would the Thompson Family mbers fight with each other, and why was his son punched?

When Henry and his wife saw their son’s corpse, Dora Wright couldn’t understand why this had happened.

“It’s not because of another car?”

“No, it’s confird.

It was due to a fight between two people nad Rhett Martin and Oren Martin.

Oren punched Edward in the head, and you can see that the injury on his head matches the blood on Oren’s hand.”

An expert explained their findings after examining the scene.

Dora, in tears, looked at Henry and said, “See, this is how the Thompson Family treats us for trying so hard to rejoin them!”

“Let’s talk about it at ho!”

Seeing his wife in this state, Henry’s expression beca very ugly.

Why would the Thompson Family mbers attack their own son?

This was a puzzle that Henry couldn’t solve, and he couldn’t understand this matter at all.

As he settled into his car, Henry ordered his secretary in a deep voice, “Check where Peter Brown is and where his car is!”

Having extensive political experience, Henry had a hunch that this matter was related to Peter.

His secretary made a few calls.

When they returned to the Thompson Family residence, the secretary reported to Henry, “Boss, we’ve gathered the information.

Peter Brown was driving Edward’s SUV which entered the toll station yesterday.

We couldn’t find the record of it leaving, but we did find the car parked near the university in the city.”

“Has Peter Brown registered for classes at the university?”

“Yes, he has.

Judging from this information, Peter Brown is unlikely to be the perpetrator.”

Henry just wanted to ask, as he knew that Peter couldn’t be responsible for what happened with the car.

Moreover, Henry had already asked the police, and there were no signs of bullets or any other form of attack on the car, ruling out the possibility of the accident being orchestrated from the outside.

After listening to their conversation, Dora sobbed, “This is the work of those two n from the Thompson Family!”

Only after his secretary left did Henry sigh and say, “I didn’t think sothing like this would happen.

Why did they fight in the first place?”

“You were obsessed with rejoining the Thompson Family, and now that we have, our son’s life is gone!”

At this mont, Phoenix Taylor called.

Phoenix had been feeling uneasy; she didn’t know what would happen.

Although Peter had instructed her to apply the dicine to the hands of the two Thompson Family mbers, she didn’t believe that the dicine could be so potent.

While she was thinking about the situation, a piece of news appeared on her cell phone, reporting a major car accident on the highway to the city, resulting in three deaths.

The news article also featured a photo.

Upon seeing the photo, Phoenix was stunned; she could tell that it was the car Edward had driven that day.

Could it be?

Phoenix dialed Dora’s number.

As soon as the call connected, Dora cried, “Phoenix, your cousin, he’s…

he’s gone!”

Listening to Dora’s crying voice on the phone, Phoenix felt chills run down her spine.

With a newfound appreciation for Peter’s thods, she realized that he had killed three people without lifting a finger and left no trace of his involvent.

What kind of terrifying ability was this?

As she thought about Peter’s frightening skills, Phoenix’s remaining will to resist completely vanished.

She understood that it wouldn’t take much for Peter to kill her, and when she recalled taking the dicine he had given her, she didn’t dare rebel.

Who are these people anyway?

In Phoenix’s eyes, Peter beca more mysterious—an existence not even the Thompson Family might be able to handle.
