1581: Chapter 1580: Acquiring Status_1 1581: Chapter 1580: Acquiring Status_1 After work, everyone headed to Fish Water Restaurant, and Peter Brown only then realized that apart from himself, there were several other lower-level cadres who had been promoted.

At this eting, Vincent Clinton had clearly reached so kind of agreent with Henry Ford, with many of Henry’s nominations receiving Vincent’s support.

At the sa ti, Vincent also reaped plenty of benefits.

The only one who missed out was Christian Greenhill.

Peter didn’t know exactly what had happened, he just saw that everyone seed happy.

Peter and Reid Nelson arrived at the restaurant first and took care of the food preparations.

Seeing that no one else was around, Reid said, “Peter, go ahead and order the dishes, don’t worry about paying today.

With so many people getting promoted, the company will take care of it.”

“It’s fine.”

“It’s not fine to say that.

If you were to treat everyone, it might actually upset so people.

Sotis, satisfying people isn’t just about spending money.

Leave it this ti, I’ll handle it.

You just need to take care of everyone.

You’re starting to beco a leading cadre now, you need to learn to do certain things.”

“Reid, I’ll just follow your lead no matter the situation.”

Looking at Peter, Reid sighed and said, “Edward Ford really has no complaints about you.”

Peter’s heart was clear as a mirror; if it were not for what he had done that was beneficial to Henry, why would Henry care about him?

Of course, this was sothing Peter would never say out loud.

“Peter, things are getting complicated, and I’m starting to not understand them.

Today seed a bit rushed, as if Edward was trying to place his people as much as possible, so much so that he even made so agreent with Vincent!”

True to being a person with sharp observational skills, Reid imdiately noticed so of the underlying issues.

Peter didn’t really care and said, “No matter how they change, we just need to do our jobs well.”

“You’re feeling confident now with over a million in your pocket.

I, on the other hand, have nothing.

It’d be strange if I weren’t anxious!”

Reid’s attitude towards Peter had beco much warr, as if they had already ford a very close relationship.

“Reid, what kind of situation do you think it is?”

“From what I’ve analyzed, the most likely scenario is that Edward Ford might be getting transferred, and the place he’s going to might not have much authority.

He could end up in the corporate headquarters, left out in the cold!”

“Is that really happening?”

Peter thought about the information he had for a while and felt even more uncertain about Mr.

Taylor’s stability, wondering exactly what had happened.

“Peter, I’m also happy with you becoming the Deputy Director.

When the ti cos, we should collaborate more,” Reid now appeared to be drawing Peter into an alliance, clearly feeling a deep sense of crisis.

Peter didn’t know what to say since he was also unsure about how the situation would unfold.

Just then, his uncle Richard Brown called.

As soon as the call connected, Richard asked eagerly, “Is the news they’re passing around true?”

“What news?”

“Co on, your promotion and fortune!”

Richard had been taken aback upon hearing rumors about Peter’s promotion to Deputy Director, and even more so after learning about Peter’s windfall.

He quickly called to find out the details.

“Yes, the news you’ve heard is likely all true.

During the leadership eting today, so cadre appointnts and dismissals were discussed, and I was promoted to Deputy Director of Integrated Office.”

“You’ve only been confird in your position for a few days!”

“I said the sa thing, but Edward Ford said, ‘This is a business, not a governnt departnt.

There’s no need for such formalities here.

The competent get promoted.’

Richard excitedly said, “Our family has finally produced a leader.

You’re sothing, kid!”

At a loss for words, Peter knew that outsiders thought his promotion was due to Richard’s influence, but only he knew the actual effort he had put in behind the scenes.

Well, perhaps it was better this way; he wouldn’t reveal the truth.

“What about the deal you stumbled upon?”

Peter had no choice but to repeat the fabricated story he had co up with.

After so ti, Richard finally exhaled and said, “Good, good.

Having made so much money, you need to repay your parents.”

Peter suggested, “Uncle, I have an idea.

After things settle down today, I’ll talk to you in detail about it.

How about you set up a company, and I’ll invest over a million in it?

What do you think?”

“What?” Richard was a bit unsettled, unsure of Peter’s intentions.

With a smile, Peter said, “I’ll co over tomorrow and discuss it with you in detail.

I expect tonight’s festivities to last until late.”

Of course, Richard understood the situation and said, “Alright then, you take your ti.”

After the call, Peter pondered his own ideas.

Actually, Peter had been considering this issue for quite so ti.

His uncle Richard was not without ability or connections.

One of the main reasons he had always worked behind others was that others had qualifications and a company that could secure contracts.

Since he didn’t have the money, he was forced to work in others’ shadows, preventing him from making significant profits.

If his uncle had his own company, Peter could continue to provide guidance, which might help it grow.

Especially since Peter had a feeling that Henry was no longer doing well, and if Henry was out, it would be tough for his uncle to stay in a favorable position.

The best course of action would be for his uncle to find a direction to develop, and Peter knew his uncle must have thought about this too.

They should have a proper chat when ti allowed.

If his uncle managed to grow the business, the million could multiply endlessly.

Of course, even if it failed, it wasn’t an issue.

The investnt was just a pretext for Peter.

With his computer knowledge, he really wasn’t worried about his future prospects.

As Peter stepped out, the middle managent had started to arrive, and before long, a number of mid-level leaders had gathered.

Christian Greenhill and Ivy Cooper were also present.

Glancing at them, Peter noticed that neither showed anything out of the ordinary.

They were laughing and chatting with everyone else, Ivy Cooper especially, had changed into a beautiful skirt and was flitting through the crowd like a social butterfly.

With Peter’s appearance, many middle-level leaders converged around him to chat and laugh.

From now on, Peter was also considered one of their peers.

Peter had been promoted with Henry’s strong support, and although no one knew just what relationship Peter had with Henry, everyone knew that Peter was Henry’s trusted follower.
