1574: Chapter 1573: Reuse_1 1574: Chapter 1573: Reuse_1 “Joseph, stop the car, go buy a pack of cigarettes,”

After Joseph Smith stopped the car, he glanced at Peter Brown and got out to wait.

Although Henry Ford verbally said that Joseph Smith was one of his, Joseph was aware that he wouldn’t be let in on key issues.

He was used to this and just curious about Peter, who had recently gained Henry’s trust.

Seeing Joseph had left the car and walked away, Henry spoke with a serious expression, “What did you hear this ti?”

Henry was pleased whenever Peter could provide useful intelligence.

He felt it was a smart move to have assigned Peter to the office.

Peter had also thought it through; the issue didn’t seem to pose a great harm to Henry, but in the world of officialdom, nothing was certain, and there could be hidden dangers.

Wanting to secure his position, Peter decided to share this matter with Henry.

“Mr.

Ford, when I was coming out of the restroom, I overheard Ivy Cooper talking on the phone in that secluded place.

It seed related to Mr.

Spencer’s downfall,” Peter said.

“Oh?

Go on,” Henry prompted, his interest piqued.

“I heard Ivy calling the person ‘Brother Stanley’.

They seed quite pleased with the sche Ivy and Christian Greenhill designed.

Moreover, she seed quite intimate with the person on the call, saying she planned to go to the provincial city for an ‘in-depth discussion’,” Peter reported.

Henry was shrewd enough to quickly piece things together, growing more solemn.

“You picked up the surna ‘Hill’?”

“Yes, Ivy kept calling him ‘Brother Stanley’, so his surna must be Hill,” Peter confird.

“And you’re certain it was Christian Greenhill?”

“Yes.

Ivy directly ntioned Christian Greenhill by na, saying it was a plan she and Greenhill had devised.

The person on the other end was very pleased.

You could tell she also ntioned her promotion,” Peter added.

“Damn, there’s such a thing!” Henry cursed.

Henry had already connected the dots from what Peter had said.

He realized that Theodore Smith’s downfall wasn’t simple; it must have been orchestrated by Christian Greenhill and Ivy Cooper.

Evidently, Christian was orchestrating the event, and Ivy provided the crucial information on Theodore that, combined, led to his ousting.

Thinking further about the outco, Henry understood that Theodore would no longer favor Christian Greenhill or even help him if he sensed any involvent with Ivy.

Now, Christian was in a precarious situation.

Under such circumstances, Ivy faced the sa issue—Theodore’s distrust.

So they both imdiately shifted allegiance to a man surnad Hill.

No need to guess; Stanley Hill was the only person at the head office with that surna and the most likely to succeed if Mr.

Spencer fell.

Christian Greenhill’s shift wasn’t truly a new allegiance; he was Stanley Hill’s man all along, rely assisting him this ti.

But Ivy, she was the one who had newly shifted sides.

She was quite the turncoat.

Having figured this out, Henry’s perspective differed from Peter’s; he looked further ahead and even saw how this issue could harm him.

Henry knew all too well how Stanley Hill had left the branch—by so of his own maneuvering and support from Mr.

Taylor.

Though Hill had relations that could not be toppled in an instant, resulting in him being ostensibly demoted to an assistant chairman position—essentially sidelined.

Since then, Stanley had been looking for an opportunity to climb up, building an impressive network.

If Theodore Smith fell, Stanley’s rise could beco a reality.

Henry already felt uneasy about the prospect of Stanley taking over.

Now, hearing about this matter, the sense of danger beca even more apparent.

Would Stanley let him off the hook?

Henry even considered another scenario, where Mr.

Spencer and Mr.

Taylor had always been adversaries, each holding leverage over the other.

The reason there had seed to be no trouble between them was that winning their battle would co at a significant cost to the victor.

The situation was now more serious.

If Stanley were involved, would he obtain information about Mr.

Taylor from Theodore?

What if Mr.

Taylor were to fall?

This is bad!

Upon this realization, Henry considered another factor: as Mr.

Taylor’s confidant, he knew too much.

Could Stanley now be targeting him?

The possibility was real!

If Stanley were indeed targeting him, this ti he would be more ruthless.

If he were set up, they could potentially dig up information on Mr.

Taylor through him.

What would happen then?

Without much thought, it was clear that Stanley could use this situation to remove Mr.

Taylor, further advancing his position.

Even if he didn’t secure the top spot, he could leverage this incident to negotiate with others.

The more Henry thought about it, the more he began to sweat.

He suddenly felt a trap closing in on him.

No, he had to report this matter to Mr.

Taylor imdiately.

This was no small issue.

So many had been misled by Stanley’s facade, even Mr.

Taylor thought he was on his side.

Now, it seed Stanley was unraveling his plot.

The situation was too complicated for Henry to handle alone.

Looking at Peter, Henry felt that using him just as an office worker was indeed an underuse of his skills.

If he were given more responsibility, he could be even more valuable to Henry.

“Peter, well done.

This intelligence is extrely important to !”

“I’m glad it could be useful to you, Mr.

Ford.

I was worried it wouldn’t be,” Peter replied.

“Peter, when we’re alone, just call Brother Montgory, no need for formalities,” Henry suggested.

“Brother Montgory, I’ll follow your lead,” Peter agreed.

Henry smiled and said, “That’s better.

You are a talent, and it’s a sha to use you for nial tasks.

I’ll consider giving you more responsibilities soon.

Prepare yourself ntally for that.”

“Brother Montgory, I don’t have a diploma, and I’ve just beco a regular employee,” Peter pointed out.

Henry laughed and said, “In our company, we put talent to use, regardless of seniority or background.

Just be aware of that.

First, you’ll head to the shuttle bus group as the leader to manage it, then serve as the Deputy Director of the Integrated Office.

You should also start learning so managent skills.”

“Brother Montgory, I don’t even know how to drive,” Peter admitted.

“Who says the shuttle bus group leader must know how to drive?

If you don’t know, learn.

Sign up for driving lessons imdiately; the company will reimburse you.

When it’s ti, co to for approval,” Henry instructed.
