1157: Chapter 1157: Entering the Mine_1 1157: Chapter 1157: Entering the Mine_1 After completing the handover procedures, Clayton Armstrong looked at Peter Brown and the others and said, “Alright, now for the assignnts.

This ti, we have thirty official disciples who are all at the Immortal Realm in cultivation.

I now appoint Dawn White, Jas Brown, and Aaron Taylor as heads.

Each of you will choose a deputy, naly Dillon Bailey, Christopher Miller, and Amber respectively.”

All of these individuals were at the peak of the Immortal Realm and were being promoted to head and deputy head.

Smiles appeared on the faces of the six as they stepped forward.

Clayton Armstrong continued, “There are thirty official disciples from the Immortal Realm who have arrived.

Excluding the six of you, there are exactly twenty-four left.

There are twelve mining tunnels, and I will now appoint two managers for each.

Each head will be in charge of four mining tunnels.”

As he spoke, he arranged assignnts for the twenty-four people.

After the official disciples had been assigned, Clayton Armstrong looked at Peter Brown and the others, “You are the provisional disciples, seventy in total.

Five of you will be assigned to each mining tunnel, and the remaining ten will serve as logistics and chore disciples.

I will now announce the assignnt list.”

Clayton Armstrong was the chief officer here, with the authority to appoint or dismiss personnel, so no one opposed his arrangents; they all listened to his decisions.

Peter Brown too was listening, and soon, his own assignnt was announced.

Peter was assigned to a mining tunnel managed by an Immortal Realm disciple nad Everett Kingston, with the deputy manager nad Adam Smith.

They belonged to Dawn White’s jurisdiction.

After the assignnts were completed, Clayton Armstrong said to everyone, “Alright, now each team get to know each other.

The next step is for you to enter the mining tunnels.

You will live there for a year, and although conditions are harsh, your returns will be substantial once you return to the Immortal Sect.”

Peter Brown, however, was not swayed by Clayton Armstrong’s smooth words.

Peter was deeply worried about what kind of Demon Beasts he might encounter inside the tunnels.

Everett Kingston called out loudly, “My na’s Everett Kingston.

Those whose nas were read out as part of my group, co over here.”

Without much ti to think, Peter stood in front of Everett Kingston.

Looking at Peter and the others, Everett Kingston said, “Get to know .

My na is Everett Kingston, and I will be your manager from now on.

This is the deputy manager, Adam Smith.”

Adam Smith looked at everyone and gave a slight smile, choosing not to say much.

“Introduce yourselves,” said Adam Smith.

“Wilder Harrison, Energy Gathering Layer,” said a chubby man.

“Aiden Smith, Peak Ascension Layer,” declared a man of average stature with pride.

Peter looked over at him; this was a person with not an insignificant level of cultivation in the Acquired Stage.

“Jas Evans, Energy Gathering Layer.”

“Martin White, Peak Ascension Layer.”

After the four of them had introduced themselves, Peter said, “Peter Brown, Energy Gathering Layer.”

“Great, now that everyone has introduced themselves, we will live together in that mining tunnel.

We need to cooperate with each other.”

Since everyone was sowhat unfamiliar with each other, nobody said much.

Two hours later, seeing that everyone had finished interacting, Clayton Armstrong said, “Here we are guarded by high-level cultivators from the Immortal Sect, so there’s no need to worry too much.

Just focus on your tasks.

Once you’re down in the mines, you probably won’t be able to stay together since the mining tunnels are large and contain various sub-tunnels, and the situation is complex.

Another point is that although the miners are under Ban and dare not rebel, most of them are at the Immortal Realm in cultivation, so you need to be careful when you manage them.”

“Master Sun, they are at the Immortal Realm, how can we, being Post-heavenly Beings, manage them?”

One provisional disciple asked.

With a slight smile, Clayton Armstrong said, “You needn’t worry about this.

Even if they have a high level of cultivation, they are restrained by Bans.

They can mine, but if they think of rebelling and face our Immortal Sect’s cultivation arts, they will lose any power to resist.”

So there were such things!

Peter gained a deeper understanding of the thods of the Immortal Sect.

“Alright, I won’t say much more.

Go get your equipnt and other items, and then imdiately head down to the mining tunnels according to the coordinates provided.”

Peter quickly received his items, which were plenty: a large Spatial Bag for holding ore, a Refining House for dwelling in the mines, which was quite nice as it could create a comfortable room once deployed, even resembling a ho from a flat family.

Another item was a bottle of Fasting Immortal Pills.

Eating one pill would sustain him for a month without food; the bottle contained twelve pills, just enough for one year.

Of course, there were also many mining tools, so for their own use and others to provide to the mining personnel.

Under the leadership of Dawn White, Peter and the others headed towards the mining tunnels.

“Head, how many miners are there exactly inside?” soone asked Dawn White.

Dawn White replied, “Actually, this is sothing that no one is quite clear about.”

“Unclear?” Peter was quite surprised at this point.

Dawn White explained, “The land of the Immortal Sect is not a calm place.

Many Sects are locked in perennial warfare, and when enemies are captured, they are often imposed with Bans and then sent to work in places like the mining tunnels.

The tunnels have existed for a long ti, with people constantly being thrown in, so nobody really knows how many have died or how many live on.

They are always dying and always being thrown back in.

The only thing they can do is to trade the ore they mine for the food and tools they need, otherwise, they face certain death.”

“Could soone have broken the Ban and beco powerful inside?”

Dawn White said, “There’s a possibility.

However, the mining tunnels connect to different places, so of which even house nurous Ore Demons.

The demons are very formidable, and a mont’s carelessness could lead to them being swallowed by an Ore Demon.

Besides, the experts from our Immortal Sect periodically inspect the tunnels.

If they find anyone, they will either kill them or cripple their cultivation.

There’s basically no chance for a powerful presence to erge.”

Hearing this, soone asked, “Are Ore Demons really that formidable?”

“You don’t need to worry too much about that.

If there are indeed very powerful Ore Demons, the Immortal Sect usually dispatches experts to clear them out.

I heard there was a purge not long ago, and many Ore Demons were killed,” Dawn White said.

Upon hearing this, Peter had a sudden realization; perhaps the Clarkson brothers’ Brother-in-law had been unable to find an opportunity to kill him and had instead arranged for him to co here, intending for Peter to be killed by Ore Demons in the mining tunnels.
