With the mask that I had on, I doubted that anyone could recognize unless they happened to know either Diana or very well.
“Are you tired?” he asked.
“No way. I’m going over there to play,” I replied with clear determination.
After being locked up in the mansion for such a long ti, there was no way that I would return without having my fill of fun first. On top of that, I haven’t won a single ga since entering the casino. Perhaps it was because I hadn’t found a ga that I was good at or a ga that I could simply win by using my luck. Regardless, I made a silent oath to myself that I would not call it a day until I won at sothing.
“Ok...” Bradon murmured without any excitent.
Regardless of his attitude, he still stuck by my side as I walked toward another zone in the casino where another ga was being played.
...
“Seriously, how can I possibly lose at every single ga?” I asked in complete disbelief before I covered my cheeks with my hands.
“You have no skills, and your luck is shitty,” Bradon replied without mincing his words.
“Excuse ?” I gasped in shock at his blunt words.
I was already in a bad enough mood without having to hear his rotten words rubbing salt into my fresh wounds. Bradon must have had a very good ti watching lose at every ga and screwing everything up. Every ti that I lost, he would either smirk at or chuckle like he was having the ti of his life. I hated how small he made feel and that only flad the fire of revenge burning inside of . No matter what, I wanted to show him that I could win at sothing.
After hours of trying this and that, I found out that I couldn’t win at anything. Whether it was a ga that seed totally based on luck or a ga where I had to use so skill after understanding the rules of the ga. I was flabbergasted by the losses that kept stacking up as ti flew by.
“You’re really not talented at this...” he said before grinning wryly at .
My mouth dropped open as I struggled to find the words to deal with him. For a mont, I wondered if his purpose of bringing here to the casino with him was to humiliate in the first place. Instead of shouting at him and making a scene, I decided to simply just ignore him as I waited for my sour and hot temper to cool down again.
“Should we call it a day and head back?” he suggested with a small laugh.
“Fine...” I muttered without bothering to turn and look at him.
Regardless, I could feel his eyes on , and I could tell that he was very amused by what he was seeing. It never occurred to that gambling could be so difficult. I looked around and wondered if any poor soul in the entire place was actually making any money. The one who was clearing making a gain was the man who stood not so far behind . Just thinking about it made my mood darken. I began to understand a little how my father sohow managed to gamble the entire family fortune away; however, that didn’t make hate him any less for it.
“Co this way,” he said as he grabbed my wrist in his large hand.
I followed after him while turning over my shoulder to watch the other people still engaged in their gas. Despite performing so poorly, I had to admit that it was fun and that I would like another shot at all of those gas again. Perhaps I might get a chance to do that so other day. After all, this is where Bradon worked, and it was his business so I could imagine him letting tag along with him again.
“Isn’t the exit that way?” I asked while pointing to the exit sign.
“Have you forgotten sothing, My Lady?” Bradon asked.
I could tell that he was being at least slightly sarcastic every ti that he addressed as ‘My Lady’. After looking around at my belongings, I didn’t see anything missing. I didn’t bring much with to begin with, so it felt impossible that I had forgotten and left sothing behind.
“No, I don’t think that I forgot anything,” I replied quite confidently.
“Are you sure?” he asked as he stared intently at .
“Yes...” I replied as I wondered what exactly he wanted from .
“There’s sothing that you need to settle first before you can leave this place,” he said as his grip tightened around my wrist.
“Sothing that I need to settle?” I murmured as I stared blankly at his face.
Before I could say anything more or demand any explanation, Bradon tugged on my arm and I found myself following him. He led away from the floor and down a luxuriously decorated hallway before taking a turn. I soon found myself in a spacious room that looked like an office of sorts.
“It’s a pleasure to et you, My Lady,” a middle-aged man dressed in a black suit with matching black tie greeted with a polite smile.
“It’s a pleasure to et you too,” I replied while trying to contain my curiosity.
“This is Sean, and he helps manage this place,” Bradon introduced the man briefly.
“I see...” I said while wondering why I suddenly had to see the manager of the place.
“Well, My Lady, that would be a total of 28 million dollars,” the manager said before beaming a smile my way.
million dollars...
“What? Excuse ...?” I blurted out quite blankly.
Those numbers seem to co out of nowhere and I wasn’t sure what he ant at first. It took a mont for those numbers to register in by head. Bradon did say that I needed to settle sothing before I could leave the casino.
