It seed like my lack of rest and all the work that I had been doing up until that point was quickly catching up to .

“Dahlia...” I heard him whisper my na.

When I opened my eyes again, my vision was blurry and it felt like I was seeing double. I frowned as I wondered what was happening to . Bradon called my na again but his voice seed so far away and so soft. I couldn’t bring myself to answer him as my eyelids felt so heavy and then everything blacked out from my vision.

...

**Bradon’s point of view**

“Dahlia! Dahlia! Dahlia!”

I called her na as I cradled her limp body in my arms, but no matter how many tis I called her na, Dahlia never opened her eyes. I cursed myself for not realizing that there was sothing wrong with her or that she was feeling unwell. The sense of regret that sprouted in my chest reminded that I probably couldn’t forgive myself if sothing were to happen to her.

After Dahlia suddenly fainted, I drove her to the hospital after evaluating that it was probably faster to drive her there myself than to call for the ambulance or a call for a doctor to visit the mansion. I rembered nothing about the drive to the hospital because all I could think about was Dahlia.

“I don’t know what happened, she suddenly fainted,” I told the doctor who was in charge of the ergency room.

He instructed the nurses to take care of Dahlia, before telling to step outside to give them so room to treat her. My first natural instinct was to resist being apart from her because I was scared what would happen if I lost sight of her.

“Please wait outside, Sir,” a middle-aged nurse instructed sternly as she brought up her hands to keep from entering.

“But...” I imdiately protested as I refused to take a step back.

“Please wait outside so that we can concentrate on treating the patient. If you have ti, you should quickly head to the information counter to provide information regarding the patient instead of waiting here,” the nurse instructed before turning on her heels and disappearing into the ER room.

The door to the room closed in front of and I found myself just standing there as if I had completely lost my mind. I didn’t know what to do, and I didn’t know what to think. Everything just felt completely dark and numb. Although I knew that I shouldn’t be Imagining the worst case scenario, I couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if Dahlia never woke up.

“Excuse , you must be Mr. Vulkan, right?” A young nurse asked with widened bright eyes that seed filled with admiration and anticipation.

I had completely forgotten that I wasn’t supposed to appear so publicly like this under my own identity. Thankfully, the naive nurse made the error of mistaking for my brother.

“Yes, I’m Anthony,” I replied as I tried to remain calm and composed.

I wouldn’t go as far as to say that I succeeded. In all honesty, I felt so lost inside and it felt like my body was just reacting automatically while I was on autopilot.

“Please follow this way to provide information about the patient,” the nurse instructed with a sweet smile.

I did not return her smile as I thought that the last thing on my mind at that mont was to flirt with a mber of the opposite sex. She led to the information counter where I was supposed to fill in the information about the patient so they could pull up Dahlia’s historical records. I stood rooted to the spot as I wondered what I was supposed to do.

Is she supposed to be Diana or Dahlia right now?

Would it be strange if Anthony was the one who admitted Dahlia into the hospital in the middle of the night?

Then again, I couldn’t let them treat Dahlia based on Diana’s dical records either. I brought Dahlia to this hospital because it was the best hospital in the city and the one used by almost all prominent families living in the city, the Alnault included. If on the off chance that Dahlia had dical allergies that are not present in Diana’s file, it could lead to harmful complications for her.

“The patient’s na, please?” A man wearing wire rimd glasses inquired as he looked pointedly at .

“Dahlia. Dahlia Alnault,” I replied.

The surprised look on the man’s face told that he more than recognized her na and that started to rub the wrong way.

“Do you need anything else?” I asked curtly.

“No, that would be all. We have her dical records here and I will pass it on to the dical team. You can wait over there,” the man replied politely.

There were plenty of seats available at that ti of night; however, I found myself standing right in front of the ER room. It wasn’t long before I had begun pacing back and forth while waiting for Dahlia to make an appearance. I wondered what was taking them so long, although in reality I was certain that not that much ti had passed. It was my own anxiety and impatience that made ti seem to pass by so slowly. I was so worried about Dalia and I was so frustrated at all of my foolish actions and inactions. I should have realized that she was tired after the heap of unnecessary work that I piled into her schedule.

This is all my fault...

Before I could re-enter that loop of endlessly blaming myself for sothing that I couldn’t go back in ti to fix, the door opened and the doctor that I had seen before walked out followed by a few nurses.

“Doctor! What is wrong with her? Why did she suddenly faint like that?” I asked the doctor that was in charge of Dahlia’s case.

“Please calm down. Her condition is stable enough right now. She’s burnt out and slightly malnourished, and that is probably why she suddenly passed out,” the doctor explained calmly.

“I see...” I murmured before averting my eyes as I suddenly beca even more guilty than before.

“I’ve done all that I can for her, but what she really needs is rest,” the doctor continued to explain.

“Is she awake now?” I asked while telling myself not to be hopeful.
