It infuriated that he could do whatever he wanted whenever he wanted without a care about how I felt while I didn’t have the freedom to do the sa. It honestly felt like my chest was ready to explore from the tension and frustration that had started accumulating inside.
“I’m going to sunbathe...and then I’ll play in the water...then I’ll go for a swim in the pool...” I muttered my plan as my voice shook from anger.

I managed to wrap up the whole ss and calm down the situation within a few hours which was sothing that I felt slightly proud of. However, the fact that it ca at the cost of a handful of my n sustaining injuries made feel like I could have done better had I been less hasty. n getting injured during these kinds of crackdown operations wasn’t abnormal no matter how well prepared we were. There would always be unforeseeable circumstances and dangers. Everyone had to stay on their toes and learn to expect the unexpected. Everyone’s life was at risk and that was just how things were.
The lack of my presence must have made the gangs lower their guard as well. Without thinking that soone would interrupt their well-tid trade, there weren’t many ard n on guard which made the whole operation slightly easier and less tricky. Capturing them all and securing the goods happened in one well-orchestrated swoop. Catching them off guard helped us a lot but that didn’t an that fight didn’t break out.
By the ti I arrived back on the private island, it was already close to set sun. I felt more tired ntally than I was physically. Once in a very long while, I wouldn’t mind jumping into bed and sleeping like a useless log. So far, there hasn’t been any kind of report from Zain and I took that as a good sign that Dahlia was behaving herself well while I was gone. It felt like one of the few blessings in life at that mont that things were at least progressing smoothly on Dahlia’s end.
“Welco back,” Zain greeted the mont that I entered the villa.
“Where’s my wife?” I asked the first question that ca to mind.
“Lady Diana is swimming in the pool,” Zain reported.
Dahlia is...
I could feel blood draining from my face as I stared blankly at Zain while wondering if I had heard him correctly. I was shocked but I couldn’t let it take over my body. mories that I preferred not to rember quickly resurfaced and I quickly suppressed them because now wasn’t the ti to start digging up the past.
“Where is the pool? Take to her right now!” I ordered loudly.
Zain gave a confused look. I knew right away that it was my fault and my negligence and that what was happening was not at all Zain’s fault. Had Zain thought that Dahlia was in danger, he would have stopped her and reported it to right away. This all happened because he didn’t know. In fact, very few people knew...
“What is the matter?” Zain asked as he sensed my clear panic.
“She can’t swim...” I replied in short.
Dahlia...can’t swim...
...
**Dahlia’s point of view**
I was unlucky but I wasn’t absolutely unlucky. Although Bradon had abandoned to go off sowhere, it did give the opportunity to relax and enjoy what the resort and the island had to offer. That didn’t an that I was any less mad at him for ditching the way he did without any explanation; however, it did make feel better that there were things that I could do to pass the ti.
“There’s so many activities here...” I said to myself as I eyed the various brochures displaying various activities available on the island.
“Do you have sothing specific in mind? We have a very good freediving instructor here who can start with you from the basics,” the staff readily suggested before beaming a smile.
“I think I only have a couple of hours free in the afternoon, though. I might not be able to complete a course of anything like that,” I replied as I pondered what I wanted to do.
“What about taking a short introductory course with the instructor? Of course, you can’t master everything in a couple of hours but it will give you a good idea of how it works and will help you decide if you want to pursue free diving,” she explained before showing another encouraging smile.
“Hmm...that might be a good idea...” I murmured.
I had always thought that freediving was sothing really cool and I was very open to trying it. The idea of diving without an oxygen tank and all other equipnt that ca along with it excited . The feeling of going under water for so ti to explore freely would probably make feel so free. The na freediving suddenly seed very suitable indeed for the activity. It was unfortunate that I wouldn’t have the ti to master the entire skill given how much ti it usually took but taking the first step to start seed like taking a step in the right direction. It wasn’t like I had anything else to do to kill the ti anyways.
“The pool that we have here is built to support diving lessons and has a very deep end. There are clear indicating and warning signs on the side of the pool so please pay attention,” she inford .
“Great. I’d like to give it a try,” I said decisively.
“Sure. I’ll let the instructor know right away. He’s already on standby for the day so he’ll be ready whenever you are,” she said cheerfully.
That was how I ended up in the pool with a muscular diving instructor. The lady from before surely didn’t tell that the instructor was so good-looking and that he also had a nice body. I found myself smiling a little when I thought that this was just a good add-on bonus to have.
