Chapter 1965: 558: Can’t be seen by others_4
After hanging up the phone, Liam Webster’s expression turned grim.
It seed that Eva Webster was now more likely to be in peril than safe.
With this thought, Liam Webster sighed.
He didn’t know how things had turned out this way.
Windy Armstrong looked at Liam Webster, “Is the situation not looking good?”
Liam Webster didn’t want to hide it from his mother, and nodded, “It’s not good, Mom. We must prepare for the worst.”
Upon hearing this, Windy Armstrong’s emotions imdiately collapsed, “But your sister is still so young!”
Eva Webster was only thirty this year.
She hadn’t even gotten married yet.
Seeing both mother and son so negative, Olivia Armstrong imdiately said, “Sis, Liam, don’t be so pessimistic! Didn’t Thompson say that Eva will be alright? He’s arranged everything; Eva will definitely be able to get on the plane tomorrow morning.”
Liam Webster sighed again, “My friend said that ordinary powers have no say in the Golden Triangle, so we probably can’t count on Mr. Thompson.”
“Unless…”
At this point, Liam Webster paused.
Windy Armstrong imdiately asked, “Unless what?”
Liam Webster sighed again, his face full of worry, “Unless that person has local influence in the Golden Triangle.”
Upon hearing this, Olivia Armstrong was dumbfounded and looked at Liam Webster, “Does this an that Thompson can’t help Eva either?”
“Yeah,” Liam Webster nodded, “you could say that.”
“Then what should we do?” Olivia Armstrong beca anxious, “Eva won’t really…”
The words that followed, Olivia Armstrong simply couldn’t bring herself to say.
She couldn’t believe it was true.
Windy Armstrong started crying again.
“Eva, my poor Eva!”
Liam Webster took off his glasses and wiped away his tears.
What good would crying do now?
A mont later, Liam Webster walked over to Olivia Armstrong and said, “Aunt, please take care of my mom, comfort her, and rember to call if anything happens. I have to go now.”
As Eva Webster’s situation had been sealed, there was no point in him feeling more anxious now.
Liam Webster was planning to have his wedding next year, he couldn’t afford to lose his job at such a critical ti.
Olivia Armstrong nodded, “Go ahead, Liam, leave your mom to .”
“Then I’m leaving,” Liam Webster put on his coat, turned to look at Windy Armstrong, “Mom, don’t worry, I will figure sothing out for Eva. I’ll imdiately inform you as soon as there’s any news.”
After these words, Liam Webster turned and left.
Soon, the room was left with just Olivia Armstrong and Windy Armstrong.

Mandel Thompson hurried back to the company.
He had Isla Astir wait for him in his office.
Before leaving, he was still sowhat concerned and said to Isla Astir, “If there’s anything, Miss Astir, you can instruct the secretary.”
“You’ve said that three tis already, my President Thompson!” Isla Astir replied, “I know, I’m not a three-year-old child.”
Mandel Thompson nodded slightly, “Then I’m off.”
“Go on,” Isla Astir said.
Isla Astir sat in Mandel Thompson’s office.
After a while, the Secretary ca in with a cup of Milk Tea, respectfully saying, “Miss Astir, this is five-part sugar Milk Tea especially prepared for you by President Thompson.”
“Thank you.”
Because Viola Thompson loved Milk Tea very much, Mandel Thompson mistakenly thought that all girls liked Milk Tea.
Isla Astir took a sip of the Milk Tea.
After delivering the Milk Tea, the Secretary left the office.
Seeing the Secretary co out, the other mbers of the secretarial team all curiously said, “President Thompson really brought Winer here, huh?”
The Secretary nodded.
“No wonder President Thompson insisted on changing ‘There is Wine Today’!”
This was an open secret, wasn’t it?
Moreover.
The whole group knew that ‘The Secret of S’ was more suitable for adaptation than ‘There is Wine Today’.
“Is Winer good-looking?”
The Secretary nodded, “Good-looking. It would be hard for our group to find soone better looking than Winer.”
Next, the secretarial team’s gossip about Winer began.
An hour later, Mandel Thompson ca out from the eting room.
“President Thompson,” CEO Cooper caught up with Mandel Thompson’s steps.
“CEO Cooper, is there sothing else you need?” Mandel Thompson looked at CEO Cooper.
CEO Cooper continued, “There’s sothing I don’t know if I should tell you.”
“But speak your mind,” Mandel Thompson said.
CEO Cooper nodded, then began, “‘The Secret of S’ has been bought by the Anissa Corporation.”
The Anissa Corporation was also into software developnt.
It was the only company in Sinian Country that could rival Cloud Group.
Mandel Thompson’s eyes narrowed slightly, “I see.”
