Chapter 337 The Mysterious Disappearance
Unexpectedly, Lin ngya did not lose her head. Instead, she held on to the silver knife.
The stinging feeling beca more tangible in the cold darkness.
“Are you insane!”
That woman had never imagined that Lin ngya would be so calm as to hold on to her knife.
It felt quite painful. But Lin ngya did not flinch in the least.
She had had enough of it. She could do nothing, except to be protected many tis. They would do harm to whoever she cared about!
Therefore, she did not want to hide behind her guards anymore. She decided to confront the people who wanted her life, alone.
“Who asked you to kill ? Or do you want to kill because you hate ?”
The woman in the cloak suddenly trembled.
That was because she saw a pair of the most indifferent, coolest eyes in the world, staring at her.
The light of the full moon cast only a little light in the alley, which was almost deserted. But that pair of amber-like eyes send forth a coldness that seed to co from hell.
“I—”
When the woman was about to answer, she found that the knife could not be taken out of Lin ngya’s hands, no matter how strongly she tugged at it.
Regardless of the depth of the wound, Lin ngya refused to let it go, as if she was possessed.
Suddenly, that woman made up her mind and gathered every ounce of energy in her body to try to cut Lin ngya’s hands.
But Lin ngya relaxed her grip suddenly, and fresh blood suddenly splattered into the air. Lin ngya paid no attention to it, and just frowned slightly.
“Don’t you want to kill ? Go on! Put your knife into my heart! Co on!”
Her sharp voice sounded cold and biting. Lin ngya glared at the woman in front of her indifferently. The pain stimulated her ferocity.
The desire for blood suppressed deep inside her heart, was finally released after repeated stimulations.
The Lin family was a family of generals. Either Lin Muzhi or Lin Nansheng were all Death Warriors, harvesting peoples’ souls in the battlefield.
Lin ngya was a girl, but the bloodline was there. At this point, her personality could be traced to the sa origin as Lin Muzhi.
“I really don’t understand. Why do you all want to kill ! If this world doesn’t need , then, why let travel here?”
Lin ngya went one step closer, sending forth an aura only Death had, which frightened the woman.
The woman had originally intended to kill Lin ngya. But when she saw Lin ngya catching her knife with one hand, the woman felt more scared than hostile.
“She... she has such a pair of cold, heartless eyes!”
Like— like Long Tianyu exactly!
“You want my life? Well, co and take it! I have been waiting here for you. But why do you want to harm my people! Sister Yue Ting, Xiaoyu and Qinghu! Without , they could have chosen a different life! Why are you so hard on ?”
Lin ngya was trapped in a nightmare, where the suffering from departure and sadness of losing friends had been gnawing at her heart, day and night.
Why should everything she cared about be taken away!
Why did everything she cherished end up as nothing!
Stepping on her own bloodstains, Lin ngya seed to find an outlet for her pains. The woman who tried to kill Lin ngya by starlight, was unlucky tonight.
The woman beca very nervous. Her accumulation of ferocity and hate collapsed in a minute when it t the overwhelming aura of Lin ngya.
She wanted to run away, sohow.
It was due to the woman who was holding the knife. Sohow she had the feeling that she would be the one to die in the end!
Her pupils contracted slightly. Her instincts told her that if she did not take action now, what would be waiting for her, would be a dead body abandoned on the street.
Her wrists were shaking.
But she still summoned up all her courage, and while biting her lips, she tried to plunge the knife into Lin ngya’s chest.
The next second, the black figure fell in front of Lin ngya suddenly.
“It’s just to kill a person. Do you need to dirty your hands?”
In the dark alley, Lin ngya imdiately recognized the sudden appearance of the person, without even having to look carefully.
The man appeared out of the darkness and looked into Lin ngya’s eyes. He gave her a seemingly soft, inoffensive smile.
“It’s too late to see you off. So I ca to have a look at you. To be early is not as good as to co on ti. Is that right?”
Qiu Yu held a long sword casually in his hands, and had a smile on his face.
But Lin ngya stared at him and his sword, as if he was a stranger.
“Who are you? Why are you keeping everything from and coming into my life? Do you know how painful it is for ? I don’t want to be left in the dark! I don’t want to be used by anyone!”
Lin ngya’s emotions were swinging wildly now, she did not even know how to deal with the wound on her hand.
Looking at her, Qiu Yu frowned tightly. “It does not look good, now”
Massive blood loss made Lin ngya lose control over her emotions.
The knife wound in her hand was laid open to the bone. It already created a small pool of blood. But Lin ngya refused to listen to any single word of Qiu Yu’s explanation, like an irritated lion.
Qiu Yu could do nothing, except raise his hand and hit Lin ngya on the neck.
The lion who was in a huff, imdiately slumped on to Qiu Yu’s chest.
“Have a good sleep. You won’t feel any pain when you wake up.”
The sound of sighing echoed in the empty alley. But the two figures had already disappeared without a trace.
“ngya! ngya!”
Long Tianyu carried a delicate butterfly lantern in his hand, but his smile froze, as he stood at the entrance of the alley.
His smile froze and his eyes were covered with a layer of frost. The strong sll of blood made Long Tianyu tense imdiately.
He stepped cautiously into the alley. The body slumped on the ground in the darkness, made his heart tremble.
The light of his butterfly lantern shone on the body and he saw a face, filled with regret.
“Thank goodness, it’s not Lin ngya!”
When Long Tianyu was about to turn around to leave, the strong sll of perfu made his eyes water.
“What’s that—”
He looked around carefully and finally saw a pool of bloodstains on the green stone ground.
“It is her blood.” Long Tianyu rembered clearly the sll of Lin ngya’s blood, maybe because he had lived with her for so long.
The sll of blood that had a little fragrance, indeed belonged to Lin ngya.
Looking at the bloodstains on the ground, Long Tianyu frowned. “How severely wounded was Lin ngya, to spill forth so much blood?”
Long Tianyu went farther into the alley, but failed to find any trace of Lin ngya.
His heart seed to be caught in a tight grip. Did she—
“Your Highness, I’m sorry I can’t find any trace of Her Highness.”
Lin Kui popped up in front of Long Tianyu, outside the alley.
He knelt on one knee; his forehead covered in cold sweat.
Prince Yu told him that Princess Yu did not wait for him at the agreed place. To his surprise, Princess Yu vanished completely, in the blink of an eye.
Lin Kui had a pair of sharp eyes and already saw the dead body on the ground.
“Her Highness had an accident?”
Lin Kui was too afraid to imagine further. Although he was not intelligent, he also had a feeling that Princess Yu was very important now, and he wondered who could be so bold to kidnap Princess Yu.
“Go and search. Find out who took Princess Yu away tonight.”
Under the bobbing light, Long Tianyu narrowed his eyes.
The gentle attitude he showed toward Lin ngya disappeared in a minute. What was left was his slashing profile, like a cutting blade.
Long Tianyu got out of the alley, still holding the butterfly lantern in his hand. He looked up at the moon in the sky, and a flicker of brutal, cold light flashed across his eyes.
“Good. Very good.”
“You can’t wait to kill Lin ngya, right?”
“Well, then, I don’t mind bringing forward the massacre—”
Lin ngya, who was still unconscious, had no idea her disappearance would cause a domino like chain effect.
But she had a high fever due to the wound, when she was taken by Qiu Yu to a house.
Qiu Yu applied the best dicine on the knife wound. But Lin ngya closed her eyes and refused to wake up, maybe because she was depressed.
“Second Master, this lady is well now. But she’s still in a coma. Should I—”
Inside a bright, warm wing room, Qiu Yu watched the thin, pale face on the bed carefully, while sitting at the delicate-curved, red wooden desk.
Sky-blue curtains shielded her from the wind, which blew in occasionally. The brocade quilt was dusty pink with lilies. Qiu Yu carefully tucked the quilt in the corner.
Lin ngya’s lips were unexpectedly pale. Her fine face seed to have lost its vitality, like a piece of jade losing its warmth. It seed to bear the signs of great regret.
Her black hair hung loosely on the pillow, which had golden embroidery on it. Although everything beautiful was placed in front of her, she seed to have lost all interest, and refused to wake up from her dream.
Qiu Yu turned around to look at those humble servants. He waved to them and made them get out of the room.
He stood up and walked to the bed Lin ngya was lying on.
His heart was aching, and he felt helpless, not calm nor cynical.
Although he did not know what had happened to Lin ngya, he felt sorrowful for no reason, when he rembered her questions in the alley, that night.
