The skinny, tall security guard stood in front of the tractor, one hand on his hip, the other holding a walkie-talkie as he pointed at Zhang Xiaoshan and Li Erniu and said,
"Hey hey hey, what are you two doing? Tractors aren’t allowed in here. Park the vehicle outside."
Li Erniu was like a brash man back in the village, but he beca socially anxious in the city.
He was a bit hesitant to speak, but that’s how many rural folk are when they co to the city; people tend to feel inferior.
Zhang Xiaoshan addressed the security guard,
"We’re here for a delivery; we’ve already made an appointnt."
"Oh?"
The skinny security guard glanced over the tractor’s carriage, which held a large tal cage with a group of chickens and ducks inside, and his face twisted into a sneer.
"Oh, it looks like you’re delivering ingredients to the kitchen, huh?"
"Right."
Zhang Xiaoshan replied calmly.
But his good deanor was mistaken by the skinny security guard as a sign of soone easy to bully.
He sized up Zhang Xiaoshan and Li Erniu’s attire once more.
Zhang Xiaoshan was still alright; despite being simple, at least he was clean. But Li Erniu was quite sloppy – wearing a sweat-drenched tank top, his hemp pants patched up, and his canvas shoes showing his toes.
"Hmph."
The security guard’s eyes filled with unmistaken contempt.
"Poor hicks from the countryside, eh?"
"Hurry up and leave; don’t get in the way of our business. This is not a place for you."
"Hey, who are you calling a poor devil, you son of a bitch? Believe it or not, I’ll beat you up."
Li Erniu was not one to take things lying down, and at the security guard’s insult, his temper flared.
"Oi, kid, you wanna challenge ?"
The security guard started rolling up his sleeves arrogantly and bellowed loudly,
"Open your eyes wide, do you know where you are? Dare to make trouble here, you must be full and idle. My boss is the brother-in-law of the head of the comrcial departnt; you’d better learn so manners."
"I..."
Li Erniu, hearing that the other party knew officials, instantly beca timid.
He looked at Zhang Xiaoshan eagerly,
As though asking what they should do.
At that mont, the skinny security guard changed tack and said,
"However, you’ve hauled your goods all the way from the countryside, which can’t have been easy. I could let you through a backdoor, but you’ll have to show so appreciation."
The pudgy security guard grinned slyly.
Zhang Xiaoshan understood imdiately.
This guy saw they were from rural areas and wanted to extort a ’convenience fee’.
He wasn’t too concerned about the petty cash,
But this despicable cur truly was vile.
"Hehe, show appreciation, eh? How should I show it? I’m just a country bumpkin, I don’t get your aning."
Zhang Xiaoshan feigned ignorance.
The skinny security guard began to get agitated at once.
"Hey, are you really clueless or just playing dumb? Of course, it’s about paying the entry fee. I won’t ask for much, just give two hundred."
"Two hundred?"
Li Erniu gasped in shock.
"Just to open a gate, you want two hundred? Are you a bandit or what?"
"Ah, if you don’t like it, just scram."
"If you don’t leave now, I’ll break your legs."
The skinny security guard raised the baton in his hand.
This was really provoking Li Erniu.
He wasn’t skilled in dealing with city folks, but when it ca to fighting and trouble-making, wasn’t this just hand to hand combat?
"You son of a bitch, dare to bully people. I’ll let you see what I’m made of."
Li Erniu was ready to throw a punch.
"Wait a minute."
Zhang Xiaoshan grasped Li Erniu’s shoulder, signaling him not to act rashly.
"Sit tight. Soone will handle him soon."
Zhang Xiaoshan had quietly started a voice recording and sent so of the conversation to "T-Rex"; as long as T-Rex wasn’t stupid, they would know what was happening.
"Alright then." Li Erniu sat down.
"Handle ?"
The security guard scoffed disdainfully.
"My uncle is the head chef at Wanshan Hotel; do you think you can handle ? Humph, if you anger , I’ll have my uncle send word, and we’ll refuse any produce you deliver in the future."
Zhang Xiaoshan recorded the security guard’s words as they ca, sending them off while smilingly saying,
"Don’t be hasty; I don’t have money on right now. Just wait a bit, my friend will co out and pay you."
"Friend?"
"Looking at how you’re dressed, I can tell you’re hillbillies. What kind of friends could you possibly have here? Janitors or apprentices? Listen, I advise you not to play any tricks, or you’re going to regret it."
The security guard was in the midst of his tirade when he suddenly spotted a striking figure erging from the dining hall’s main entrance in the courtyard.
Probably around 1.7 ters tall, with a figure to die for, clad in a professional black short skirt suit, with sheer stockings adorning her legs and high heels to boot, her hair styled up neatly, makeup applied with ticulous care, and an air of mature elegance – she was breathtakingly beautiful.
"Little Shan, I... I think I’ve seen a goddess."
Li Erniu’s gaze was fixed, and he kept swallowing saliva.
"T-Rex?"
"You’re joking, right?"
Zhang Xiaoshan was also taken aback.
