Unconsciously, Jia Lanhua fell asleep.
"Clang, clang, clang..."
She faintly heard the sound of knocking.
Initially deep in sleep, she thought she was dreaming, but the knocking beca increasingly urgent.
"Is it Zhang Xiaoshan coming back?"
Jia Lanhua ca to her senses, hurriedly got out of bed, and hid by the doorway.
"Little Shan, are you there?"
"Open the door," she heard from outside just as she hid herself.
A woman’s voice?
"It’s not Zhang Xiaoshan?"
At this, Jia Lanhua panicked.
All the plans she had thought of were based on the premise that no one would discover her, and she would give birth to the child smoothly.
At the mont, she hadn’t even reconciled with Zhang Xiaoshan, and she was discovered.
If Wu Damming found out, she feared she would be beaten half to death, and kicked out of the house.
She carefully hid by the door, not daring to make a sound.
"Little Shan, open the door, or I’m going to kick it down."
Su Xiangi grew impatient after not seeing any movent inside for a long ti.
She charged toward the door.
Luckily, Jia Lanhua hadn’t locked the door when she entered.
"Ouch!"
Su Xiangi bumped into the door, which swung open imdiately. She lost her balance and, caught off guard, fell flat on the floor.
"Ouch, my poor back."
Lying on the floor, Su Xiangi wailed in pain.
At that mont, the door was wide open, completely shielding Jia Lanhua’s body behind it.
She peeked out just a bit.
"Is it the Widow Su?"
When she saw Widow Su wearing just an undergarnt, even a fool would understand.
"She, she ca to have an affair with Zhang Xiaoshan?"
Jia Lanhua was dumbfounded.
She had thought that Li Ya was the one involved with Zhang Xiaoshan.
After all, Zhang Xiaoshan had been calling Li Ya’s na last ti.
But there Widow Su was, in the middle of the night, coming for Zhang Xiaoshan.
What kind of ga was this?
"This damned Zhang Xiaoshan couldn’t possibly be with both..."
"Who would have thought, looking so proper usually, he’s quite the player."
Jia Lanhua felt as if she had discovered a new continent, utterly astonished.
Yet, she also felt triumphant.
Ha, she had indeed caught a hold on Zhang Xiaoshan.
She would have to confront him face to face with it and see where Zhang Xiaoshan could put his face.
By that ti, Su Xiangi had caught her breath and got up from the ground.
"Hehe, Little Shan, I knew you’d leave the door open for , Auntie didn’t misjudge you, coming here in the middle of the night."
"Here I co."
She groped her way towards the small bed.
But there was no one there.
"Damn Zhang Xiaoshan, tricking again."
Su Xiangi’s expression changed imdiately.
"Wait, the bed is still warm?"
Perhaps he ran out the window.
She quickly ran to check the back window.
The back window was locked from the inside; if soone escaped through the window, they wouldn’t have locked it afterward.
"Hehe, Little Shan, you are so naughty, playing hide-and-seek with your aunt."
"Let guess, you’re hiding under the bed?"
She bent over and peered under the bed.
Jia Lanhua knew she would be caught if she kept hiding.
Taking advantage of Su Xiangi bending over, Jia Lanhua ca out from behind the door and dashed outside.
At this mont, Jia Lanhua’s long legs gave her an advantage.
Su Xiangi, startled by the noise behind her, turned around.
By the ti she realized what was happening, Jia Lanhua had already run dozens of ters away.
"Hey, Little Shan, don’t run!"
Thinking the person running was Zhang Xiaoshan, she hastily chased after.
Jia Lanhua ran, Su Xiangi pursued, and a chase unfolded on the village road.
Jia Lanhua was much faster than Su Xiangi, who could only see a vague outline and the distance between them was growing larger, the figure ahead becoming blurrier.
Running out of breath, Su Xiangi beca desperate.
"Zhang Xiaoshan, you dog, don’t run. Didn’t I tell you it’s just this once?"
"If you sire a son, we’ll all be happy, but if you keep running, I’ll expose your affair with Luo ili tomorrow."
Su Xiangi shouted from behind.
But in a blink of an eye, the figure ahead jumped into a patch of vegetables and quickly vanished.
"Ah, that damn Zhang Xiaoshan ran too fast."
"You better not let catch you."
Su Xiangi, sowhat helpless, crouched down gasping for breath.
After looking around and confirming Zhang Xiaoshan was gone, and still scantily clad, afraid to be seen by people, she had no choice but to head back ho reluctantly.
Behind a mound next to the vegetable patch, Jia Lanhua, crouching down, stood up straight.
