Hearing Zhang Xiaoshan’s question, and seeing his sleazy expression, Jiang Man imdiately understood his implication, her face flushing with embarrassnt as she grabbed a pillow beside her and threw it at Zhang Xiaoshan, all the while cursing under her breath.
"Shaless, always thinking of indecent things, you disgraceful rogue."
Zhang Xiaoshan caught the pillow, and considering the stage their relationship had reached, he spoke slickly without any hesitation.
"Calling a disgraceful rogue now, but last night you were calling a good husband so affectionately..."
Hearing this, Jiang Man’s cheeks, already flushed, turned even redder.
"You, you, I had good intentions of helping you, but sadly it was taken for granted."
"Help , help with what?"
Zhang Xiaoshan asked curiously toward Jiang Man.
Jiang Man pursed her lips and said.
"I’m not in a good mood now and don’t feel like talking anymore, but if you sincerely apologize, I might just be happy enough to help you."
She had always been pursued by many n, always enjoying the feeling of being the center of attention; Zhang Xiaoshan’s indifferent attitude towards her felt novel yet also brought a sense of disappointnt and dissatisfaction.
She wanted Zhang Xiaoshan to bow down to her as well.
"You might as well forget it."
However, Zhang Xiaoshan did not take Jiang Man’s words to heart. He tossed the pillow back onto the bed, a bit anxiously saying.
"It’s getting late, and I still have an exam to attend. Let’s et again if fate allows."
Having said that, Zhang Xiaoshan hurried away with a brisk stride.
He was very clear in his mind that Jiang Man’s family background was too formidable, too distant for his current self, and for soone like Jiang Man, born into a high-class family, they would not consider having to cling to a man for life just because of an unexpected incident that should not have happened.
Zhang Xiaoshan did not want to degrade himself, nor did he hold unrealistic expectations of developing much with Jiang Man. He would rather consider last night as nothing more than a dream.
"Damn it."
Seeing that Zhang Xiaoshan didn’t even leave her with any face and just walked away, Jiang Man was imnsely infuriated.
It seed like she should have been the one to leave nonchalantly, and yet this young brat took advantage of her and just left nonchalantly the next day, making her feel like she was the one abandoned.
"Little bastard, just you wait, if I see you again, I’ll strangle you."
She glared towards the doorway, and in that mont, a strange thought suddenly erged in her heart, a kind of anticipation that Zhang Xiaoshan might turn around and co back.
"Shaless."
The mont of distraction passed, she quickly ca to her senses, lightly slapped her own charming face, and murmured.
"Jiang Man, you are a goddess from heaven, how could you possibly have feelings for a young country doctor, even expect anything?"
She rubbed her reddened cheeks hard, ruffled her ssy hair, and tried to suppress those absurd, inappropriate thoughts that popped into her mind.
"The famous Yang City Princess, a double master’s graduate from Qingbei University, the dream of countless male elites, just handed over her chastity in a cheap motel last night. If this gets out, how could I, how could I face anyone?"
"No, this cannot be known by a third person."
Jiang Man resolved in her heart that this must remain a secret.
...
After leaving the motel, Zhang Xiaoshan sprinted toward the dical school.
Wanshan County was a small, impoverished county, so the town was not large. Zhang Xiaoshan was swift and nimble and arrived near the dical school with just ten minutes to spare before the exam.
At that mont, in a nearby alley, a group of shady-looking youths were gathered smoking with clubs in hand, clearly up to no good.
Among them were two individuals who had had dealings with Zhang Xiaoshan.
Baldy Liu, who had been relentless in pursuing Sun Youyou, and Zheng Wen, the leader who had been taught a lesson by Zhang Xiaoshan the day before!
