"Isn’t it?"
"So there’s a possibility of developnt?"
Luo Yao asked with a smile, winking at Shen Yanran, trying to recapture the feeling of being close friends from before.
But all Shen Yanran felt was awkwardness. Just then, the bell at the serving station rang, and Shen Yanran used it as an excuse to get busy.
She once thought that she and Luo Yao were the best of friends, with a bond that was unbreakable.
Yet, reality proved that friendship was fragile, and once a crack appeared, it was difficult to nd.
Luo Yao could obviously sense Shen Yanran’s coldness, but she didn’t expect to repair their relationship right away. In fact, Luo Yao’s main target wasn’t Shen Yanran, but Shen Yixiao.
In her view, as long as she could win Shen Yixiao back, the state of her relationship with Shen Yanran wasn’t really important.
Taking it a step further, if she truly could get back together with Shen Yixiao, even to the point of marriage, Shen Yanran might beco her "competitor."
Because Shen Yanran is also Shen Qiushan’s child and would share in the inheritance!
Examples of siblings falling out over inheritance issues are countless, so from Luo Yao’s perspective, proactively nding her relationship with Shen Yanran was rely a necessary step to win back Shen Yixiao.
Her gaze drifted to the stage, where Liu iyu was singing passionately. Plus, she had a good image, and even a male custor offered her a garland.
The garlands at Red Rose Tavern were reasonably priced at fifty bucks each.
A singer who got a garland could earn a thirty-dollar commission.
Since Red Rose Tavern was recently packed every night, singers with good looks and interactive skills could earn a decent inco just from tips.
Luo Yao slightly regretted not studying music back then; otherwise, she could have applied to be a resident singer too.
However, if she couldn’t be a singer, maybe she could be a waitress!
Suddenly inspired, Luo Yao turned quickly to Xu Pipa, smiling as she asked, "Pipa, is the tavern still hiring part-ti waitresses?"
Xu Pipa glanced at Luo Yao, and, being sharp, imdiately guessed what Luo Yao was thinking. She shook her head imdiately: "That I’m not sure about, you’d have to ask Manager Hu."
Luo Yao knew Xu Pipa was referring to Hu Tingting, who was a mber of the Red Rose Band, with strikingly dyed blue hair and a notable figure, nicknad "D-Ting" by fans.
Luo Yao wandered around the tavern and soon found Hu Tingting watching Liu iyu’s performance next to the stage. She hurried over.
"Hi Sister Tingting, I’m a friend of Yanran’s, my na is Luo Yao."
"Hello."
Hu Tingting naturally didn’t recognize Luo Yao, who ca up to her. But since she claid to be a friend of Shen Yanran, she was quite polite.
"By the way, if you’re Yanran’s friend, you should call Aunt Tingting."
"Technically, I should, but you’re so young, I really can’t bring myself to call you aunt."
Luo Yao was very good at talking, and her words made Hu Tingting smile imdiately.
"You’re such a sweet talker. Are you here for a photo?"
"Yeah, if I post it on social dia, rember to use beauty filters!"
Hu Tingting instinctively thought Luo Yao approached her for a photo because she encountered similar situations many tis every day. The Red Rose Band was just too popular.
"Uh-huh, Sister Tingting, I adore you!"
Luo Yao seized the mont, took out her phone, and snapped a few selfies with Hu Tingting.
After taking the pictures, she cheerfully asked, "Sister Tingting, is the tavern still hiring part-ti waitresses?"
"It’s winter break, and I happen to have nothing to do."
"You’re thinking of working part-ti?"
Hu Tingting looked at Luo Yao with so surprise, as this girl’s outfit and deanor didn’t seem like soone from a less affluent background.
During her ti working at the tavern, Hu Tingting had t many students who ca for part-ti jobs. Although many of them were there due to their social circles,
most ca just for fun and excitent, and only a few stayed long-term.
Because Red Rose Tavern was too popular, wait staff had a heavy workload and it was quite exhausting.
So, very few students remained, with only a few staying because of Shen Qiushan; the rest truly needed a part-ti job.
Due to its popularity, the tavern offered higher wages than other places.
For example, part-ti wages at regular fast food restaurants were about 15 bucks an hour, whereas at Red Rose Tavern it was 20 bucks, and could go up to 25 bucks for good performance.
For students who needed to work to support themselves, it was definitely the first choice.
Through long-ti observation, Hu Tingting could easily judge which students genuinely needed the job and which were just passing ti or had other intentions.
In her view, Luo Yao belonged to the latter category, coming with other ulterior motives.
From a managent perspective, Hu Tingting certainly didn’t want such waitresses.
"Sister Tingting, I went to high school with Yanran and iyu. During the holidays, they’re both here at the tavern, so I also want to gain so experience."
"Yanran might not have ntioned it, but we are best friends!"
Seeing Hu Tingting hesitate, Luo Yao directly brought up Shen Yanran.
What Luo Yao didn’t know was that if she hadn’t ntioned being best friends with Shen Yanran, it would’ve been better. By saying this, Hu Tingting imdiately thought of Shen Yixiao going to Beijing to find his girlfriend, and ending up with a broken bone...
