Chapter 594: Do Not Read
Chapter 149
[My son, always the troublemaker]
“You should have more options then. Oh right! You don’t.”
[Yeah]
[One is giving so much trouble]
[I’m terrified to think what another one would do]
“Not this much I hope,” I replied to the male voice in the system. It was weird listening to a man after having a woman in your head for so long, literally.
[Did you really have to do it though?]
[How heartless can you be?]
[Hitting such a beautiful girl]
“I will make sure to tell Mom you said that,” I remarked, trying to threaten him because that was one threat that always worked.
[You do that, and I would be informing Hiroto about what you did]
[I’m sure he would love to know how you hit a girl]
[A beautiful one at that]
And he threatened back. Sure more was terrifying and he would chew him for hours but it was still better than a severe feminist ripping dinsions apart to co here and use the original AyaAkusa to inflict trendous pain on my soul just because I was a little an to a girl.
[A little?]
And he can read my thoughts as well like one intruder wasn’t enough, there had to be another one. My dad at that.
[What do you want?]
Since he was cutting to the chase after the small talk, I decided to do so as well. “A favor and a question.”
[Pick one]
Damn. I thought he would be picky but he was at least throwing so bone. Still, I needed both of them so I wanted to argue and I tried to before I was rudely interrupted by him.
[I don’t have to grant you anything]
[You know what would happen when you kill one of them now]
[I know you wouldn’t take a chance]
Dead right again. I knew the risks that followed the deaths of even one of the main characters. I could kill them easily but that was why I couldn’t. They were too deep in connection. This world depended on them too much and I didn’t even know what for.
[So, pick one]
“A favor,” I said, finally making up my mind. As far as my curiosity was concerned, I would find the answers to my questions one day but right now, I needed the favor more because I was already in too bad shape.
[Too bad if I have to say]
“I see,” I replied and now that I was done with him, he was just overstaying his welco. But I wouldn’t have to tolerate him for long. He was too powerful to remain here for a long ti anyway. If he remained here for more than a few minutes, then we won’t have to worry about the main characters dying. The world would wither away and collapse on its own.
[Quite sharp of you]
[But since you are, you do know this trick won’t work again]
Of course, it won’t. I sighed and simply nodded in return.
[Well then, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do]
He would literally do anything. He was as crazy as the word itself could get and he made sure to show all of the world that. Anyway, it was ti for a goodbye.
[Anyway]
[It’s ti for a goodbye]
Just as he said that the ti began to reverse. Everything went along with it. the blades that impaled Sera began to retract themselves until they were completely out of her and then she began to heal. Sa with Eric and everyone in the area, everyone in the whole world.
I also left my spot and got back to the spot where I was at the beginning of the match. I watched as everything returned to several minutes ago and then, everything just remained frozen for a few minutes before the color returned to everything and the voices of everyone from the arena began to pierce my ears.
I looked at Sera, unhard and completely fine as if what happened earlier was nothing but a dream and no one rembers a dream. She didn’t either. I turned to Eric to find the sa outco. I thought he would be different because he was the favorite of this world but nothing. He was the sa as the rest of the residents of this world. Unimportant.
That actually made sad because there were a few people I cared about in his world too.
[Correction]
[A few girls]
‘What? That’s slander. There’s Max too.’
[Would you treat him the sa if he wasn’t without a warr]
‘I’m not going to answer that.’
[Answer received]
Damn. First, my dad dissed and now her, I felt like I was having an off day today. No cobacks at all.
“Are you going to look around all day?” Sera asked . I turned to look at her, fully prepared to take on. No pun intended.
“No, I was just thinking about sothing,” I replied simply as I equipped a spear in both hands.
“I don’t care.” She replied as she raised her shield a little bit more after seeing the spears in my hands.
“You should,” I replied.
[Sacred blessing]
[Potion of Giant’s will has been consud]
[Strength increased by 50% for the next ten minutes]
I upped my strength to the point that I could and threw the first spear in my right hand straight at the spot where the damage would disperse quickly but evenly, leading to a stronger shockwave, pushing her back by a few steps.
[Kind of too much for her, don’t you think?]
‘I’m just using the cheats that I have like she is using that shield.’
Given what that shield was, I was sure I wouldn’t be able to get past it. Not at my current strength at least so if she was allowed sothing like that, why couldn’t I use sothing too?
Of course, it sounded like a justifiable excuse but it was the truth. The apostles were a guaranteed win because of the weapons they possessed. Everyone knew that yet they let them in because that wasn’t unfair. It was god given after all but when I use my own strength that I achieved myself, it would be unfair to others.
I threw the spear in my left hand as well with full power doing the sa pose. It struck Sera’s shield in the sa place and pushed her a few more inches back. I equipped two more spears and did the sa only this ti, I added technique to them. I not only spun myself but also the spears to give it drill properties and the pushback this ti was far more than before. It was almost a combination of the first two tries.
Without giving her ti to breathe, I threw the fourth one at her and this did the job. I calmly stood in my place as she saw that I wasn’t attacking anymore. She prepared to attack when the referee’s voice interrupted her, “Contestant Sera, out of bounds. Winner, contestant Adrian.”
Sera was shocked when she saw she was standing behind the line of the arena bounds. She raised her head to look at with what I assud was a mixture of surprise and horror. But there was sothing else, denial. She wasn’t willing to accept that it was this easy for to defeat her. To be honest, it was even easier than this but this was the only thod that was efficient and didn’t cause any problems like earlier when Eric jumped at .
[Do you really believe that?]
[Or is it because it wasn’t a ti-consuming thod]
‘Whatever that ans.’
[It ans you don’t want to spend much ti on her now that she isn’t useful to you anymore]
‘Then that’s exactly what it ans. She’s worthless now.’
[So harsh of you]
I turned and left the stage without a care in the world. Half of my objective for this tournant was complete. The other half, well, I needed to wait for the next match for it.
[Don’t forget the third objective]
‘That’s not an objective. That’s teaching a lesson.’
The second crown candidate, Caleb was the crowned king of the second year. He would almost lose to Eric according to the novel but unfortunately, this ti I would be doing what I did to Sera or worse, and this ti, there wasn’t a being of almost infinite power looking forward to saving him.
=====
“You know what you have to do, right?” A middle-aged man asked a boy with green hair. The green-haired boy was busy stretching the string of his green-colored bow that perfectly matched his hair and dark green eyes.
The boy stopped checking his bow and replied, “Yes I do.”
The man nodded and said, “You do know there can be no mistakes. If we want to stand on the sa standing as the Kingdom of Ravenknight, we need to take out the contender for that.”
“You don’t have to tell ; I know everything already.” The green-haired boy emotionlessly replied.
“Good. Then here it is. Dip your arrow into it and the girl is as good as dead and it would be just like an accident.” The man said giving a vial filled with viscous green liquid. “Kill Laura Ravenknight for the glory of the seven kingdoms.”
