Chapter 554: Do Not Read

Chapter 188

‘Ah man, it hurts.’ I whined as I spread myself on Sairal’s back. Apparently, the powers of the dragons consud a lot of stamina. So much so that moving an inch hurts. It was a good thing my stalker went away and everyone else around was dead, otherwise, I was a sitting duck, literally.

However, Sairal was close by and ca to pick up. However, when he picked up, it hurt like hell. Anyway, from this entire episode, I gained nothing. Technically they weren’t dead so there was no EXP gained.

I would soon hit the wall again, with an enormous wall of EXP before , I wouldn’t be able to level up so easily. Even now, A rank dungeons have begun to prove aningless, and even the S rank ones, one of which I can raid if I do sothing noteworthy, would do nothing for my EXP soon enough.

In other words, to reach level four hundred, I needed the SS rank dungeons, but they were too far away. Around the end of the sixth volu, when the war begins between humans and the untied races.

Until then, my only hope is the last step of the Penta enhancent array to deal with the headaches I have right now.

Since my END is very high, I didn’t have much fear of dying unless it was a guardian rank being, however, my other stats were severely lacking. I was soon about to face the superpowers of the Cortum empire, to deal with them, I needed appropriate strength.

The last step of the Penta enhancent array would help with that. I still had the option of the agility crystals, but I didn’t really need them, so I still planned to give them to my allies and companions, the ones who needed them accordingly.

“You can now let down, Sairal,” I told Sairal because I was now sowhat feeling better. I an, I could stand on my own at least. I had crossed the boundary of the Bellator and was now at the edge of the Cortum empire.

I didn’t enter the empire though. I remained at the edge of the Bellator and found myself a nice mountain for rest. My next goal was to curb the need for stamina pills. It wasn’t like I was addicted to them, but with how many I took during my soul damage phase, I was so used to them that eating one didn’t even restore five percent of my stamina.

However, now that many of my skills depended on my stamina, especially dragon’s breath, I didn’t want to take a chance. To have my stamina restored instantly was the sa as having a world destroying skills at unlimited use in my arsenal.

“What do you an there’s no sign of him?” Rafael asked quietly, while Sirius just sat there with a troubled look on his face. During this mont, whoever wasn’t present or accounted for during the evacuation would be the pri suspect in this incident.

Only Sirius and Rafael knew about this. Other than them, only Max had an idea and Desmond even had an even vaguer idea. At first, he thought it was Adrian but seeing the destruction and everything, it was clear to him that Adrian couldn’t have done this. At least not alone.

Other than these four individuals, no one had any idea of Adrian’s involvent. Even the girls didn’t know about it but they were worried for an entirely different reason. Adrian was missing, so of course they were worried.

And his previous track record of almost dying didn’t make it easier for them as well. However, under constant placation from Rafael, and Monica, they cald down although they still held so resentnt and vowed to make Adrian answer when he ca back.

Coming back to the issue the two old n were simple, soon the world leaders would beco aware of this and hold a eting to deal with this. Rafael wasn’t the Cortum empire so he couldn’t make a decision in its stead. In other words, soon the whole human world would be hunting whoever did this and the pri suspects would be the individuals who weren’t accounted for during the evacuation.

“For now, I have just given testimony under my na that he is breaking through at a confidential location,” Sirius replied, telling Rafael about the temporary solution he had cooked up.

Rafael nodded and asked, “And what about that girl, Michelle? She saw him earlier in the evening. What to do about her?”

“She won’t say anything if I told her not to but that would an her getting a suspicion of her own,” Sirius assured Rafael who once again nodded and sighed deeply.

“That boy, I swear. Nothing but trouble, I say. Just like his father.” Rafael heaved a sigh of exhaustion and recalled the annoying brat who used to learn magic from him.

Sirius also rembered the most ruthless student in the history of Bellator Academy. Although the guy was crazy, his power was the real deal. Adrian, on the other hand, wasn’t a crazy person, he was very coolheaded as well. However, in terms of power, Adrian was even more stronger than his father.

“Would you make it so that he has an alibi?” Rafael asked.

Sirius shook his head and replied, “Although I have said that I was aware of his breakthrough, I wasn’t personally there and there were many records of not being present.”

Rafael knew that it would be very difficult to cover up for Adrian however, all they could do for now was just wait. Adrian was smart, there was a good chance he must have so plans backed up for this as well.

“I told you to watch over him! And you let this happen!” Laura yelled at Rose who sat on a chair without a worry. Alicia was also very angry but she didn’t say anything.

She kept her eyes on the black-haired girl in the room who was sitting with a smirk on her face. That smirk only made Laura and Alicia angrier. As for Rose, she had co to terms with her master’s womanizing so she wasn’t that angry.

Rose calmly replied, “I couldn’t do anything about it. Before I knew it, everything was done.”

Rose herself had only found out about the matter after the visit of Caligulas ended. By then, it was already too late and all she could do was be angry at Adrian take full advantage of her anger, and take as much attention out of Adrian as much as she could.

“You should have at least told us,” Alicia said, her voice a little cold.

“Of course she wouldn’t! Why would she let go of such a golden opportunity? She definitely took her share of coddling out of him.” Laura was definitely on the spot and familiar with what Rose would have done once she found out.

Rose didn’t reply to that but her lack of defense was enough to relay that Laura was right. Alicia looked at her like looking at a traitor. But Rose remained calm under their stares.

Seeing that she wasn’t getting anything out of Rose, she turned her attention to the true culprit of the matter, Sophien, who sat in a chair, calmly sipping tea from her cup.

“You! Don’t you have any sha? Going for soone’s man.” Laura accused her of that angrily but Sophien simply chuckled in return.

Sophien calmly placed the cup on the table and said, “And what about you? Didn’t you make an attempt on him when he was engaged to Asmara?”

“Their engagent ended that day. I didn’t go after anyone’s man.” Laura defended herself and she was right in doing so. Adrian and Asmara’s engagent had been broken earlier in the day when she visited Adrian after the banquet and they cented their relationship.

“You may be right about that, but, is he your man? Show the proof of your marriage if you are.” Sophien extended her hand. Laura had no reply to that but she stepped forward, her eyes had a threatening look in them as she said, “I don’t need to. By principle, I am his first wife.”

“Hahaha.” Sophien laughed, her lodious laughter ringing throughout the room.

“You’re so funny!” Sophien remarked while she was still laughing. She stopped though, after a few seconds and simply said, “I don’t know what principle you are talking about but the spot as his first wife is open and up for grabs. I can take it, you can take it, she can take it, and she can take it too.”

Sophien pointed at Laura, Alicia, and Rose one by one before she added, “You don’t decide who his first or last wife would be. The first to make a move takes that spot.”

Laura remained silent. So did Alicia and Rose. They all looked at each other. Deep down, they knew that Sophien was right. Adrian hadn’t promised anyone to be his first or second wife. He hadn’t said who would be the concubine or such. It was up to them to tempt him for that.

Instinctively, mana of four types began to perate throughout the room and the atmosphere beca ice-cold between the four girls.

One unlucky soul, the guy who was just handling the evacuation stood near the door with a scared face as he thought inwardly, ‘My womanizing liege, where are you? A war is about to begin here.’
