Chapter 492

"Wh-What the...?" The man woke up, bound to a pole, with various injuries on his body, but nothing he couldn’t endure. He looked around him and spotted those who had entered the dungeon with him.

And then, his gaze landed on him.

"Haa... Haa..." Wei Jun stood tall, behind him a container filled with water from his pouches, but the startling detail was that not one drop of that water had been used. Not by the owner of that water or by everyone else.

Wei Jun, extrely injured due to underestimating the thirst of people, wobbled as he tried to stablilize his footing.

"What... happened here?" The man couldn’t help but ask.

"You’re finally awake." Wei Jun said, no hitch in his voice. Although he wobbled his voice and expression were without a weakness.

"Ye...s." The man replied but before he could even complete his word, his mind drafted a rough scene of what would have happened there.

"Did we lose ourselves?" The man asked.

"Only on the last night," Wei Jun replied as he kept making his way towards the man but didn’t stop near the man but passed him by.

He kept walking until he made his way to the end of the sleeping crowd and stopped before a blonde young woman who was injured and burned from various spots, so much so that her flesh was in clear view and even that was burned.

A bottle appeared in Wei Jun’s hand and he raised the sleeping woman’s face to feed her the contents of the bottle. The woman gulped instinctively and the injuries on her body began to heal. Wei Jun unstrapped the woman’s body and gently laid her down on the ground while a set of clothes magically appeared on the woman’s body.

All the while, the man said nothing and once she was healed, he finally said, "Don’t worry about us. You must have been tired. Have so rest."

As if he was waiting for those words, Wei Jun fell on the ground as the injuries on his body began to vanish. His eyes closed, he had fallen deep into slumber.

"Welco! Welco! Welco!"

The next ti Wei Jun woke up was to an annoying voice, one that he hadn’t heard for the past ten days. As he opened his eyes, he found himself in the middle of a room.

There was a dining table placed in the middle of the room with various luxurious items and exquisite dishes on it.

The room on the other hand only scread elegance.

"You are wondering how much money this is, right?" Wei Jun once again heard the voice but there was no figure in the room.

"Wondering why I called you here now?" The voice once again asked.

Although Wei Jun remained silent, the voice had hit the mark both tis. When he saw the extravagance of the room, Wei Jun could only think the amount of money poured into it would be enough to construct ten skyscrapers. After all, the walls and the chandeliers, and even the cutlery were made from gold.

Yet there was no shine in the room, the blinding shine in the room wasn’t anywhere to be seen that should have emitted from gold.

And then Wei Jun’s thought process turned to why he was called there. He wondered what the voice wanted with him and why he was the only one there. Or was it so that there was a special room fr everyone?

"Nope. You’re the MVP of this trial after all. There’s that other one but she deserve this treatnt." The voice said as if it could read Wei Jun’s mind but Wei Jun was sure it couldn’t.

[Xavier was a master rchant, unlike what many would believe]

[It’s your expression, host]

[He can read it better than anyone]

’...’ Wei Jun remained silent. He hadn’t given away anything from his expression, but still the man was bullseye every ti. There was only one expression for this.

"You’ve been observing for the past ten days." Wei Jun said.

"HAHAHA! No wonder. You are a bright one." The man said.

The past ten days, Wei Jun didn’t have a control over his emotions and due to that, the man was able to observe everything he could about Wei Jun. Wei jun displayed everything, from anger to hatred, from care to gentleness, and that was enough for the man to understand Wei Jun’s basic nature at the very least.

"Well, go on. Ask for what you wish." The voice asked.

"What I ask?" Wei Jun asked.

"Yes. As long as it is in my ability, I can give you anything." The voice replied.

’...’ Wei Jun remained silent for a while before he asked, "Your experience."

"My experience?" The voice asked.

"You’re a rchant, aren’t you? Give all of your experiences." Wei Jun said.

"..."

"Haha..."

"Hahaha!!!"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

"What!!! HAHA!! What kind of a lunatic would!!! PFTT!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Wei Jun remained silent and the laughter of the man went for quite a while before the man said, "Very well. For providing a good laugh, I’ll grant you what you wish for."

"But, I do have a question." The man asked.

"What?" Wei Jun asked.

"Usually anyone in your place would have asked for power. Why this?" The voice asked.

"I place more value in this." Wei Jun simply replied.

"I see. So you are not a lunatic but a wise one like ." The man said before the gold in the room began to glow, the shine which wasn’t there before. As the shine receded, the gold in the room had disappeared, left with nothing but rusty tal, the walls corroded and full of holes.

"Haha! Would you look at that?! Your request was deed quite grand." The voice said. Wei Jun didn’t understand what that ant but he didn’t have the ti to ask because suddenly...

"Ugh!!!"

Wei Jun knelt on the dilapidated floor and clutched his head.

"There are a couple of sayings that fit this situation perfectly." The voice of the man penetrated Wei Jun’s mind even among the stinging pain.

"Be careful of what you wish for."

"And knowledge is indeed the greatest power."

Hearing those words from the man, Wei Jun passed out.

~~

"Wei Jun..."

"Wei Jun..."

"WEI JUN!!!!"

Wei Jun’s eyes snapped open at Natasha’s shouts. He managed to suppress his reaction other wise the head of the people closest to him would have been sent flying right now.

"Ugh!" Wei Jun grabbed his head and sat up straight. He looked at Natasha and Morial looking at him with worry in their eyes, which was a surprise from Morial.

"What happened?" Wei Jun asked.

"No idea. When I woke up, you were already passed out and they were like this." Natasha explained.

Wei Jun looked at the ’they’ Natasha was talking about and saw the ninety seven bound people who had co into the dungeon along with him.

"Why haven’t you untied them?" Wei Jun asked.

"Well that is because..." Natasha was awkward to answer that question. Morial, however, wasn’t, "I asked them to pay toll."

"Toll?" Wei Jun asked.

"Yeah." Morial replied.

"Qi stones of the highest quality from each of them." Morial replied.

"How many?" Wei Jun instantly shot back.

"A hundred each." Morial replied.

Wei Jun looked back at him with a straight but hard gaze before he said, his voice tense and his expression hard, "Nice job."

"Thanks." Morial replied with an equally serious expression.

"..." Natasha was at a loss at how to respond.

"Well, now that we’ve co to an agreent, do you mind untying us? I’m not into this." The ethereal woman who had a few burn marks on her body said with a helpless smile.

"Untie them." Wei Jun said.

Morial nodded and stood up to carry out his orders and Natasha was about to follow when Wei Jun grabbed her hand and stopped her from getting up.

"Eh?" Natasha was caught off guard and even more so when Wei Jun suddenly hugged her, burying his head in her left shoulder.

"A-are you okay...?" Natasha didn’t know what it was about but she was flustered. Not the romantic kind of flustered. It was just that Wei Jun’s had never shown such an open affection before.

"I’m just glad you’re all right." Wei Jun replied.

"Haha." Natasha chuckled but didn’t break their hug and patted Wei Jun’s back.

They remained like that until Morial was finished untying everyone up. Once they were all freed, and Wei Jun had cald down, they all stood up.

The man who had picked up a fight with Wei jun remained silent and following him, everyone else did as well. Wei Jun stood up and stretched a little to loosen his muscles.

All the while he did that, they all waited for him, and since they did, the weaker ones did as well. Once Wei Jun was done, he turned to them and simple asked, "Now. What did you all receive?"
