‘Damn.’ Wei Jun couldn’t help but be a little dumbfounded at the number written before him. He could only imagine how much of it he could absorb from the man before him.
He let it go for a mont and turned to the rest of his teammates. While it was very hard to call those from the military his teammates, one of them had been sensible enough to pick the right opponent, and the other one was his father-in-law.
Ignoring them, he found the sect master sowhere very far away, barely getting up from the wounds on his body, but they were healing very slowly.
He could still feel Natasha and Xia Lu’s presence in another part of the city, fighting the old woman. Since they didn’t imdiately need his help, Wei Jun ignored them as well and finally turned his attention to the one person he was most worried about.
Wei Jun wordlessly looked at the bloodied woman with white hair flowing down to her knees and her eyes like crystal ice. Her usually pale skin was paler in that form, and the frost emitting from her was devastating, even for Wei Jun.

“You…” Wei Jun pointed at Yan Rong, and then beyond her existence and addressed the entity that possessed her, “Get out of her.”

“I can’t.” The woman inside Yan Rong spoke in her multi-vocal voice. Wei Jun could hear no presence of Yan Rong’s voice in those smooth voices, which ant either she was asleep, or there was sothing else happening to her. Such as that entity taking over her.
“How dare you ignore !” Before Wei Jun could, however, focus on the issue with Yan Rong, the man yelled and threw another attack at Wei Jun. Wei Jun moved out of the way and charged at the man. Although his status had increased by a good bit, Wei Jun was sure he was still inferior in physical terms form the man.
Wei Jun lifted off his feet from the ground and charged a the man flying through the air, leaving a sonic boom behind.
Clash!!!
Their clash once again induced a shockwave, but the surroundings weren’t hard this ti as their force was more focused on their internals rather than negating their attacks.
“Keuk!”
“Argh!!”
Wei Jun grunted in pain as his insides convulsed, but he gritted his teeth and activated his regeneration, Death Qi heal, and everything else except for the healing pill to heal himself fully.
The man, on the other hand, was more annoyed that he was hurt. His grunt was soon silenced by another wave of attack.
Wei Jun moved to the side once again to dodge, but he wasn’t able to fully dodge the attack.

Wei Jun clicked his tongue. He was able to absorb the first attack because the attack was connected to the man when he shot it at Morial, but this one was different. This one was completely detached from the man, so Wei Jun couldn’t absorb it.
‘It makes sense. Such an overpowered power wouldn’t just have pros.’ Wei Jun thought inwardly and kept running even though his shoulder, which was hit, was in massive pain.
Wei Jun equipped the sword of Chaos and attacked the man with tangible Qi slashes.
“Such primitive attacks.” The man said before he moved his own Qi in the form of slashes and slashed the attacks down. While the essence of the attacks was the sa, the attacks thrown by the man were purer in terms of Qi and durability.
‘What the…?’ Wei Jun was dumbfounded. The attacks, although the sa in appearance, were different in terms of technique and power. Wei Jun understood why the man had called his attacks primitive. There was no technique behind them, so it made sense why Wei Jun’s attacks crumbled before the man’s attacks. Wei Jun moved to the best of his ability, side-stepping to dodge the attack, but the man was hoping for that to happen.
‘Fu*k.’ Wei Jun cursed as he could feel Commander Yan behind him. If it were anyone else, he would have moved out of the way, but given that he was his father-in-law and he would have to answer Yan Rong if he was the reason for his death, Wei Jun deed it best to block instead of dodging.
‘Fu*k.’ Wei Jun cursed. Once again, that was a mistake. The attack was not connected to the man again, so Wei Jun couldn’t absorb it, though he did give it a try.

Wei Jun was annoyed by the notifications, but he didn’t have ti to curse out anything as the attacks kept coming from the man, and Wei Jun was having a hard ti trying to defend himself.
‘Please. Hurry up.’ Wei Jun thought inwardly as his head turned towards another section of the city where sparks of another ongoing battle could be seen. The sound of the battle didn’t seem like it would die down any ti soon, and Wei Jun was slowly reaching his limits. As if sensing his predicant, Morial, now healed up thanks to the pill countdown’s end, so he could consu it again, shot at the man with another fla attack while keeping his distance.
“Stay out!” The man yelled and stopped the attack with one hand.
But that was it, the man couldn’t do anything more than that. Sensing danger creeping up to him, he imdiately blocked another attack from behind that was a courtesy of the entity possessing Yan Rong.
Although he managed to stop the attack with his other hand, the intensity with which his formless attacks were falling on Wei Jun lessened quite a bit.
And…
“Plum blossom sword art. Divine slash!”
Out of nowhere, a woman erged, wrapped in a pink hue, the katana in her hand, slashing his back, leaving a deep gash on his back.
“AAARRRGGGGGHHH!!!”
The man yelled as his Qi ran rampant and a Qi wave emitted from him, bombarding his surroundings, throwing everyone and everything away, including his multiple assailants.

It seed like that attack was connected to the man, so Wei Jun quickly moved forward before the attack reached anyone else and absorbed it before the astonished eyes of the man. “How…?” He could only wonder in a low voice as his Qi disappeared, as if it was never there, and entered Wei Jun’s body.

It was significantly less than before, but Wei Jun was still all smiles.

He ramd into the man, who was weakened by a great degree, and flew up towards the sky, leaving a few parting words behind, “Be prepared when I bring him back!”
Xing Xiaoi didn’t waste a second to carry out that command as a bottle with red pills appeared in her hand, and she yelled, “Take one, everyone! We have a hag to take care of!”
Her eyes, and the eyes of everyone, traveled towards the section of the city where the ongoing battle between Natasha, Xia Lu, and the old woman shook that section of the city. Everyone understood her words and began to prepare.
“If you’re here, then who is guarding the post?” Morial asked.
Deviating from the plan was sothing that never ended well, and everyone there knew that. At least those who were aware of Wei Jun’s plan, but Xing Xiaoi only clicked her tongue as she replied, “I deed this to be more important. He can take it out on later.”
Although Morial didn’t like the sound of those words, he could deny that the only reason their stalemate was broken was thanks to Xing Xiaoi, so he decided to let it go for now.
Besides, he was sure his contractor, who never did anything without considering every alternative possible, would have backup plans regarding it as well. Considering he didn’t do anything or say anything when he saw Xing Xiaoi appear, obviously deviating from her plan, Morial was even more convinced his contractor was aware of that possibility and had prepared so contingencies against it.
“Forget about that for now. Focus on her. She’s one stubborn hag.” Xing Xiaoi said as they arrived at the battle to see a composed old woman, a panting Xia Lu, and a pale Natasha trying to hold their own against the old woman.
“Kill her in the shortest ti possible.” Xing Xiaoi said when she heard an icy cold voice from her right side, “That won’t be a problem.”
She turned to see Yan Rong, flying up in the air, her hands extended upwards as icy cold Qi gathered at the tip of her hands, and a fierce storm of frost Qi erupted from her.
Seeing her like that, Xing Xiaoi only had one question on her mind.
“When did she dye her hair?”
