"You're here, Miss." A woman in a maid's uniform greeted Xia Lu, who smiled and greeted her back. "I'm here to see Mother for a while."
"Oh, Master Ruan arrived just a mont ago as well. He's currently in Mistress's room." The maid replied.
"Wh-What?" Xia Lu was shocked. It could have been Wei Jun's father who was also Master Ruan, but knowing Xia Lu's relationship with Wei Jun, there was only one Master Ruan they all knew. Yet she was unaware that Wei Ju had woken up.
"Wh..." Xia Lu was about to ask before she imdiately swallowed her words and ran to her mother's room. Wei Jun had never co to see her mother before. His waking up was one thing, if he was there, then just maybe...

A hope was evoked in her heart, her body feeling the brunt of that hope as she advanced to her mother's room. Her feet grew heavy, her eyes went blurry, and her senses numbed as she took each step to her mother's room.
But, as if it were all an illusion, her ears picked up two voices. One belonged to the man she loved, a familiar one. The other one was even more familiar. A voice that she had longed to hear for many years now.
As if a sudden burst of strength assaulted her, her body moved at the breakneck speed of a grandmaster realm martial artist and she broke through the door of her mother's room, only to co to a complete halt as she saw the shocked expression of her mother at her sudden intrusion and the usual expressionless face of her lover that soon transitioned into one of a smile as he saw her.
"It seems you have a lot to talk about, Miss Lu. I'll take my leave now." Wei Jun said and stood up, passing Xia Lu, who stood uprooted in her place. He simply whispered sothing in her ears that brought her out of her trance, and tears began to fall down her face.
"Mo-Mom." She said, her voice on the verge of breaking down. Her mother, Nana Lu, smiled and said, "You've grown into a beautiful young woman, my precious daughter."

Wei Jun ca outside the mansion and stopped for a second. No matter how cold or heartless he was, he couldn't help but smile at the reunion of the mother and the daughter. Their reunion, on the other hand, made him rember soone else.
"Are you there?" He asked. Not in his mind but out loud. Yet, there was no reply from anyone anywhere. "System." Wei Jun said once again.

That was more than a testimony that the robotic and emotionless voice he was conversing with didn't belong to the overseer. "Where is the overseer?" Wei Jun asked.

The biggest interference would be the 'Bead of Growth' that decreased the level and stat restriction on him. He didn't understand how big a help it was until he ca to know of the consequences.
He couldn't return the 'Bead of Growth', but there might be sothing to bring back that connection with the overseer.

This one didn't even arrive when he woke up from his coma or in that imaginary world where he died a thousand tis.
It appeared as soon as he learned of Xin Huatao's na.
'But it sure is peculiar.' Wei Jun couldn't help but be baffled by the contents of the quest.
'I knew there could be two quests about protagonists at once, but all of them in...'
"This might be a bit tricky." Wei Jun said.
"Did you say sothing, Master Ruan?" Lao Chen asked.
"No. I was just talking to myself." Wei Jun replied.
He then looked at the status screen before him and couldn't help but sigh.
'How am I supposed to deal with this?' Wei Jun asked himself inwardly as the status screen expanded and the quest details appeared before him.
