"You...you guys want to join us?"
Leo raised an eyebrow as he closely observed the group of people before him.
Bella and the others in her group looked at him with expectations of hope. They even listed what they were good at so that Leo would be convinced and more willing to take them in.
Leo was in a dilemma. After all, the only ones he found noteworthy were Bella and the married couple, while Mina and Griff also had skills of their own, especially the forr as she had managent skills she can boast about.
But the problem is that there's literally hundreds of survivors back at the base that also have the sa skill set like her, and let's not even talk about Griff.
He has the traits of a man that won are attracted to, handso and robust.
But it's a trait that no one would care about now, especially if the said person is a coward. Leo had already witnessed how he hesitated to kill a zombie earlier and soon after even showed interest in whatever ard forces that Leo has.
Leo, however, wouldn't ever allow himself to leave his back to soone like him, and the sa goes to his n.
Because he's that soone who would probably flee at the sign of danger where the probability of them not surviving on an ordeal is high.
So Leo consulted Alex on what he thinks about this while the others looked on with hope from a distance as they conversed amongst themselves in low voices.
"What do you think?"
Alex didn't imdiately answer Leo but instead took a glance towards Griff, where their eyes happened to et, which made the latter flustered as he quickly looked away but not before giving his best smile that he could possibly show.
"I can train him. I will make a man out of him, to beco a worthy soldier"
"You will?"
"Yes sir"
John looked dead serious outside, but inside, he was laughing maniacally as he could already imagine the bleak future that cowardly brat is going to face.

Because even he, who had already surpassed the limits of a human body, slightly had a hard ti undergoing the training that Alex had put together for the n and won who joined the special forces.
Where the soldiers had even given him the nickna Devil Sergeant.
From which the mbers of the special forces are Anthony and the others who exclusively use the Exosuits.
After a brief discussion between both of them, Leo and Alex slowly walked back to where Bella and the others were.
"So? Are we in?"
Mina quickly opened her mouth the mont the two n arrived, her eyes and facial expression shining mix with hope, expectation and excitent!
John looked at her, then at the others with a rueful look on his face.
And when they saw that, all of them quickly felt their heart drop as they quickly realized that they probably wouldn't be getting what they had hoped for.
"Okay, you guys are in"
Just when they felt sad and regretful about it, the humorous voice of Leo sounded into their ears, which made them look at him with dumbfounded looks on their faces.
And then their downcast expressions quickly brightened up as they looked at each other with smiles on their faces.
"Oh my god! For real? I...I really thought y-you were gonna reject us because of the look on your face earlier, dude!"
Bella had this look of excitent on her face and at the sa ti pouting at Leo, who is kinda confused inside about why this woman is acting like they are very familiar with each other when they have only t once, and twice this ti.
He admits she's really quite beautiful and cute too, and he had hots for her before, but he already got two hot tigresses back ho with a child on their bellies, who'd probably strangle him if he brings ho a girl that they don't know anything about.
"Alright, enough chit chat. Pack your things and let's get ready to leave. We don't have all day" said Leo, shattering their festive mood as they quickly headed back inside the building and started getting their things.
Once inside, all of them quickly noticed the bare shelves around them and wondered to themselves when they finally realized sothing extrely weird.
'Wait, where did he put those items then?'
They looked at each other and realized that they had the sa question lingering inside their minds just looking at their faces.
"Well, let's just pack up"
The older man among them called Darius quickly said as he didn't really want to talk about this bizarre occurrence.
"But, where did they put them? This...you need at least two cargo containers to store all of those items that had disappeared"
Griff released a nervous laugh as he suddenly felt that the shrouded mystery around Leo and Alex had beco more thicker, and more confusing than seeing the Pelican.
"Shut it, let's just pack up and leave this hellish place" Bella glared at the two n, which made the latter two grew silent as they silently walked away and started packing up their things to where they had put it.
"But just where did he put them though? We didn't even see or notice if they had soone who ca and took them because we were so engrossed on the food earlier, which was just...embarrassing"
Bella titled her to head with curiosity as she also started walking towards where she had placed her things, and just left that lingering question on the back of their heads, knowing that they wouldn't get any answers even if they had the courage and audacity to ask Leo about it.
A few minutes later.
The group was done with their preparations and rode the Pelican as they flew back to the island base as Leo prepared the arrival of the rest of the crew tomorrow. So they can finally start the clean up operation of the zombie horde and get them a ship of their own.
By then, the start of the real operation will start.
At the sa ti, the crew on the naval ship is staring at the aircraft flying away.
Wondering to themselves if there would really be a rescue coming for them.
The crew started whispering amongst themselves if they really have a future awaiting them or will they die here on the ship without ever stepping foot on land again and not finding out if their families are still alive.
Then an old looking man with a disheveled beard walked in on them, and the crowd of people quickly fell into silence when they saw him.
"Sir"
Soone called out, and the old man was about to open his mouth and say sothing when his eyes widened when he saw a silhouette getting larger in the distance, and the crew also noticed his startled expression and also looked towards the direction he's looking at.
And when they saw it, it was already a hundred ters away from them.
"Is that"
It was the Pelican, but it didn't do anything except hover above them as the hatched on the back slowly opened up and a rectangular wooden cargo box with a rope attached to it slowly ca down on the deck under the pair of many eyes who are witnessing the scene with dumbfounded looks on their faces
After it touched the deck, the other end of the rope was cut off and the Pelican flew away soon after.
The people looked at each other before rushing towards the wooden cargo in excitent. The old captain tried to stop them, but then he stopped when he saw the heaps of food and water inside, followed by the emotional excitent and relieved voices of the crew on board as they yelled on the top of their lungs like they had just won a great battle!
"Sir! Food! There's food and water inside!"
The soldier ca rushing before him with tears in his eyes, he didn't even care about their ranks and just hugged the old man whose eyes are also getting red from being emotional.
The old man also hugged him back while patting the young man's back as he watched the festive mood of his n.
