Jack shouted at Freya once she ratted him out to Luna, and Luna raised a brow at Freya before turning to give Jack a disapproving look. Jack blushed in anger and turned away, and Luna just sighed and rubbed her hand on Jack's head kindly.
"You shouldn't break your sister's toys. Did you apologize?"
Jack nodded, and Luna said that that was good enough.
"What do you guys say we get so ice cream after lunch?"
Both Jack and Freya perked up in joy once they heard this from Luna and they cheered!
"No ice cream!"
Arit shouted from inside the kitchen when she heard what Luna said, and all three of them deflated at the sa ti as they were shot down imdiately! Luna told Jack to co closer and she whispered sothing into Jack's ear.
Jack nodded at the diabolical plan before heading over to Arit as Arit walked out of the kitchen with another dish in her hand.
Jack dropped the plates in his hand on the table and helped Arit with the dish before he tugged on Arit's apron and looked up at her sadly.
"Please, Mom, we want ice cream."
Arit looked down at her son and Arit imdiately knew what he was trying to do. Arit glanced over at Luna and Freya and she saw them both giving her a look as well, and Arit looked back down when she felt her son tug her apron again.
These diabolical schers!
They knew it was hard for Arit to say no to her son! Jack's face looked so much like Mark's own that it was like Jack was a perfect carbon copy of his father with Arit's own eyes!
Whenever Jack looked at Arit like that, Arit couldn't help but imagine it was Mark looking at her and she would cave faster than ever.
Arit sighed as she took her son's cheek in her fingers and pinched it playfully.
"You're going to be a lady killer, just like your father. Fine, you can get ice cream, but only one each! Now go finish setting the table, the guests will be here soon."
"YAY!"
Arit laughed as Luna, Freya, and Jack all cheered at the sa ti, and she turned to head back into the kitchen while Mark chuckled from his place at the dining table.
"You're so easy, Arit."
"Oh, hush. You know I can't say no to that cute face."
The dynamics between the small family was a happy one, and they had found their own slice of life in this part of the city where they lived without being bothered by any outside interference.
As they all hung out together and went about their day, none of them wished for anything more than what they already had at that mont. They were content just being in the presence of one another.
Vroom!
"Big Brother!"
Mark chuckled as the sound of a car driving into his estate echoed through the compound before Talia's loud voice followed it!
Talia and Jas were currently in high school and Talia had secretly made sure that they both went to the sa high school.
Talia did this because they were dating in secret.
Or at least, Talia thought it was a secret.
The two kids had no idea that their relationship was sothing that all the adults knew about already since they were all superhumans who easily heard when Talia cornered Jas and forced him to be her boyfriend. That was one of the funniest days Mark had ever experienced.
Talia ran throughout the hallways of the house with the force of a torpedo and she imdiately slamd into Mark's open arms with a wide smile on her face!
Mark laughed as he caught her and he watched as Jas entered the house with his father and mother following behind him. Mark looked down at Talia and asked her how school was.
Talia shrugged.
"It was alright. They told us we're going to be having a prom next month for the final years. I think Jas is going to ask ."
Talia whispered the last part so that only Mark could hear her, and Mark just scoffed before kissing Talia on the cheek. Talia was already a teenager, but she was still just as cute as when she was a child.
Mark stood and shook Greg's hand calmly before ruffling Jas' hair with a grin.
"Hey, kid, hope Talia isn't giving you too much trouble?"
Jas shrugged in a manner that was too similar to how Talia did earlier.
"I don't mind her trouble."
"Of course you don't. Just keep it PG-13 until you're in college, you understand?"
Jas coughed at Mark's joke and a small blush rose on his cheeks as Mark and his parents all laughed at his expense. Jas imdiately excused himself and went to et up with Talia where she was hanging out with Jas and Freya.
"Thanks for inviting us."
Greg spoke up once Jas was gone, and Mark just waved away the gratitude. There was no need for that.
"You're going to be family, it's fine for us to have dinner every now and then. Arit is almost done and the others will be here soon, so you can just take a seat and relax."
Greg thanked Mark once more before removing seats for him and his wife to sit down, and Mark released a small sigh as he counted down in his head until the door exploded outwards!
BOOM!
"MARKY! I missed you!"
Tina charged into the house like the raging bull that she was, and behind her, Turner and Alec Ben followed after her with the sa tired expression on both their faces. The two of them had been stuck in a car with Tina for the last few hours and Tina hadn't shut up about how much she missed Mark throughout the car ride! It was fucking torture!
Mark allowed Tina to hug him for a mont before he put her back down like a stray cat and then shook hands with Alec and Turner.
"Nice to see you could make it."
Turner shrugged.
"If the leader of the known world asks you to lunch, there's nothing that should make you miss it."
Mark didn't bother saying anything to that and he just directed them towards their seats and allowed them to relax. As ti passed, a few more guests ca into the house. gumi and Alpha Once also ca with Tylor following behind them, and they all thanked Mark just like the others for inviting them.
After everything that Mark had done, it was a great honor for them to even be allowed this close to Mark and his family.
Finally, the last two people began to make their way into the house as well, and Mark laughed as he heard them already bickering from outside the house!
"What do you an you don't like my mom? She was only trying to make you feel at ho!"
"Your mom tried to make wear a dress!"
"It's a tradition! I'm Jewish!"
"Like I give a fuck! I'm not wearing a dress for the wedding! That's the fucking end of it!"
"Argh! You're insufferable! How am I even getting married to you?!"
"Like you have a damn choice. I'll kidnap you if you try to back out now."
Pat and Grace entered the house from the open door.
