The next few years on Earth passed by quicker than anyone could have imagined. The news of Mark's godhood spread far and wide on Earth, just like Mark had intended it to, and with the popularity ca new followers and a surge in mbers from the Cult of Vanitas that were dedicated to following Mark.
Mark had told Luna and Arit everything about what he went through. There weren't many people in the world that Mark trusted wholeheartedly. The only person who held that privilege before was Mark's godfather, who had taken care of him when his parents died. But now, Arit and Luna were the two people that Mark cared about the most in the world, and Mark decided that they deserved to know about his story more than anyone else.
At first, it was a little difficult for them to wrap their heads around the fact that Mark was now a literal god.
But after a while, it beca less unbelievable and they were able to go with the flow of things more easily.
The rebuilding of Earth took more than two years to be completed. The German country could never be rebuilt again after the battle between Mark and the anima KING, so it was forgotten, and the Germans shifted the last survivors from their country into the uninhabited eastern region of Europe and began to rebuild from there.
Mark stayed in his domain for longer periods of ti after becoming a god.
As a god, Mark's re presence on Earth brought mass confusion and agitation in the hearts of people, making them seek out battle with each other. It was a side effect of Mark being a God of War, and after Mark realized this, he decided that it would be best for him and his girls to live in his dinsion most of the ti.
Unsurprisingly, Pat was the one person who seed to take Mark's ascension to godhood best of all.
Pat was shocked at first, just like everyone else. But after so ti, it seed like Pat just decided that this was another one of those things that Mark did that could never be fully understood, and Pat never bothered asking Mark how he beca a god. Pat just didn't want to know.
During these two years of rebuilding, when Mark wasn't spending ti with his girls or on Earth with Pat, he was in the Divine Realm spending ti with Sozin and the other gods that he had ford a form of friendship with during his ti as a mortal.
Freya, the goddess of fertility, made it her personal mission to teach Mark everything he needed to know about what it ant to be a god. She told Mark that he would have to prepare himself for the long life he had to live now and that there would be tis when he would regret what he had done and try to go back to being a mortal.
"We can extend the life of mortals using our divine mana, but there is a limit to what a mortal's soul can endure. Extend their life too much and their soul would not be able to move into the River Styx after death. So, rember this. No matter how much it may hurt, never try to make a mortal live forever."
This was what Freya had said to Mark when they were taking a walk through the garden one day, and Mark knew that she was trying to tell him that he would one day have to lose Arit and Luna to their mortality. Mark already understood this, and he was thinking of a way to work around that as well.
If Mark had to go to Thanatos and strike a deal for their souls, then he would do it. But for now, Mark was sure that he could make them both live for hundreds of thousands of years easily. He didn't have to worry about their mortality.
Sozin was a dick, as always, when Mark went to see him, and the first ti that Mark went without any naked milf pictures, Sozin actually kicked Mark out of his domain and told him not to co back unless he had the goods.
The next ti, Mark went with a picture of a grandmother, and Sozin laughed so hard at this that he completely forgot to kick Mark out and just allowed him to stay.
Sozin and Mark's relationship was the best amongst all the gods because of how Sozin had once been Mark's patron.
Mark once asked if he was the first mortal to beco a god in the way that he did, and Sozin said that every demigod that beca a god did it in the way Mark did.
A god chooses a demigod from a world that was on the brink of ascending and grants powers to that mortal. If the mortal is capable of defeating their enemies and proving themselves, then the mortal would beco a god.
The god that was responsible for choosing the mortal was different every ti, and most tis, the god would choose a mortal that was created from their own essence, like Zeus and Poseidon chose their children, and Sozin chose Mark because Mark was created from his Divine Mana millennia ago.
Mark finally got a good understanding of what it ant to beco a god from the eyes of a god itself, and as Mark understood this, he started to beco more curious about the worlds that were also in his dinsion.
The gods said that their world was the most advanced of all the worlds in their dinsion and that was why they chose Earth to receive the blessings of the gods. But what about the other worlds?
In his free ti, Mark moved across the dinsion and watched the worlds that were adjacent to his own. As a god, Mark was no longer inhibited by distance or space. Mark could move in the dinsion across imasurable distances instantaneously, so when Mark entered his dinsion and ordered it to open its doors to another world, he stepped out from his dinsion onto a large sandy world that was filled with dust and desert sand.
There were natives on the planet that traveled the land using their sandboats. They looked like humans, but they were all more than three ters tall with thin bodies that were wrapped tightly with cloth. Mark didn't bother interacting with them as he watched them go about their activities. The animals and life on the planet were all well-suited for survival on arid land, and Mark realized that there was no technology there other than the archaic thods used for irrigation.
The next world that Mark visited was just as foreign to him as the last one. This one was a dark world with shadowy creatures that lived in the darkness and fed upon any trace of light available. The world was run by three large races that all possessed the ability to use darkness magic, and Mark didn't bother interacting with them either as he noticed that they were not yet civilized.
This continued for a while as Mark took his ti observing the creatures of his dinsion. Mark was the overlord governing these worlds, so it was only right that Mark would go and see what they were like. Mark was disappointed in most of them since they didn't have anything resembling a functioning civilization that looked like it was going to improve anyti soon, but Mark found a few planets with advancing civilizations and he decided that he would start improving his dinsion by granting technology and comrce to those planets first.
