The QUEEN was not happy about the situation at all. Arit had been in the hospital to help Jeanne in taking care of Tina and any other superhumans that still had a chance to live, but the QUEEN told Arit that they should have co to the superhuman alliance building with Mark since there were many won in Japan who would try to seduce him!
Arit was the one that had spoken up in anger earlier, and Luna was standing there with her hands folded under her bust and glaring at gumi in irritation. Luna wasn't as expressive about her irritation as Arit was, but anyone who saw her would be able to tell that she was not happy about what she had just heard coming out of gumi's mouth.
"Uhm… what?"
gumi was surprised by Arit's sudden confrontation and nearly took a step back. gumi was not used to having conflicts with won over their lovers since gumi just didn't have any lover due to her expressionless nature, so seeing Arit glaring up at her without any fear, even though gumi was far stronger than her, was shocking.
Surprisingly enough, even though gumi was surprised by the sudden confrontation, there was still a smile on her face as she looked down at the shorter woman. It was a great feeling for gumi that she was able to express the shock she was feeling at all, so she couldn't help but smile.
Arit glared up at gumi for a few seconds, and when Arit saw gumi smiling, she thought gumi was trying to mock her and imdiately took a step forward. Mark gently pulled her back to his side and ran a hand through her hair with a smile.
"You're really good at making enemies, you know that?"
Arit blushed as Mark laughed at her expression, and Mark leaned down to kiss her before telling her to calm down. Arit still glared at gumi for a few seconds, but she eventually relaxed into Mark's side and cald herself.
Luna ca up to Mark's other side and smiled up at him.
"We thought you were about to take down this building when we felt your mana earlier. Are you sure everything is fine?"
Mark nodded and kissed Luna as well after telling her that everything was fine. It was just a small quarrel that got out of control.
gumi looked like she was in so sort of twilight zone. Social dia was not sothing gumi was used to using. In fact, after losing her emotions, gumi found the entire idea of social dia to be so irritating that she didn't even bother having a phone anymore since it was just a hassle. The only thing gumi had was a pager that her secretary, Yukki, used to contact her. So gumi knew nothing of the relationship situation of Mark and his two girlfriends. Seeing Mark kissing both of them like it was the most normal thing in the world made the normally stoic woman blush in slight embarrassnt.
The embarrassnt gave way to amusent after gumi realized that this was the first ti she had felt embarrassed in years, and she couldn't stop herself from laughing at the absurd situation. She was so emotionally stunted that a simple kiss was now enough to make her blush.
Mark watched gumi laughing with a curious look on his face, and after a while, gumi cald down and shook her head while cleaning her eyes.
"Sorry, I think there was a misunderstanding. I'm not trying to steal your partner away from you. I don't know how things are done in Arica, but in Japan, having more than one partner is against the law. It is very frowned upon—"
Arit scoffed and muttered quietly,
"You're talking like the law can stop us from doing what we want…"
gumi's face scrunched up in realization as she saw the truth in what Arit said, but she eventually shook her head.
"Yes, maybe you're right. But it's still not sothing normal for . I asked to stay beside Mark because of what he could do for . I think you're aware of the difference between the now and the from earlier. That was a result of my blessing, and I couldn't control the emotional loss that was happening to . But whenever Mark uses his ability on , I gain back so of my emotions, and it allows to feel again. I hope I'm not asking for too much, but if you'd be willing, I would like to see if there's so way to make this condition permanent. And until then, please allow to stay by your side so you can use your blessing on as much as possible."
gumi bowed low to Mark as she pleaded for him to allow her to stay by his side. gumi knew that she was asking for a lot since she would impose on him for constant help, but gumi was willing to do anything to hold onto this feeling that she had found again. She didn't want to go back to being the emotionless husk that she had been for the past few years.
Mark humd as he looked down at the pleading woman. Even though Mark would normally never feel any form of empathy towards just anyone and he would never do sothing just because soone begged him to do it, Mark couldn't help but feel a bit of pity for gumi. Mark had been through all of gumi's mories, and he knew just how much she had gone through because of the lack of emotions. gumi had not only lost her family, but even her friends and those close to her had slowly drifted away from her. She was truly alone.
Mark decided that since she was going to be in the Vanguard guild now and she was sacrificing her ti in Japan to help him out, he was going to reward her decision.
"Once a day. If you co to once a day, I'll help you out with your emotions and give you what you want. But you can't be around all the ti. Only when you really need to be. My girls can get very jealous, I hope you understand?"
Arit huffed as Mark said this, and Mark just held her a little tighter to reassure her. Luna blushed a little at Mark's words, but she didn't say anything to deny it because she knew that Mark was right about her getting jealous. It was just natural for a girl to get jealous if their boyfriend was always around another woman.
Luna knew that she also got together with Mark by being close to him, and that was exactly why she didn't feel okay allowing gumi to stay around him. You never know what would happen, and if they weren't careful, then there was every chance that gumi would fall for Mark and try to bring herself into the relationship as well.
gumi raised her head and smiled once she heard Mark say that it was okay for her to co to him once a day. gumi knew that she would be able to get him to increase the number of tis, especially when they were both fighting together, so she didn't try to make him increase it right now in case it made his girlfriends angry.
