Hundreds of humans were gathered in a wide circle in the center of the room. All of them were on their knees, but none of them had been tied up. They all looked up at the aima around them reverently with wide smiles on their faces and their hands joined together like they were in the middle prayer. They were moving one after the other towards the other end of the cave where a pig-headed anima was taking them towards so sort of contraption that looked like a pod.

The Russian swallowed nervously as he walked forward. The Rook climbed up the wall of the cave and went to a web he had tied to the ceiling and left the Russian there alone. There were a few human-shaped cocoons wrapped up in the Rook's web and the Russian was smart enough not to say anything as he saw the Rook lift them up to be eaten.

The Russian looked from left to right as he walked through the large group of humans, and he was stunned when none of them looked afraid to be there at all. In fact, they all looked happy, and whenever they turned to him, he could see smiles on their faces. Like they were right where they wanted to be!

Is this what they were told about? Were all these humans mbers of the Syndicate as well?

The Russian finally stopped walking when he ca to the front of the cave, and he saw what looked like a young woman lying on her back in one corner of the cave. Except this woman looked nothing like a human. She was completely naked, and the Russian felt his eyes trail down from her bust to her naked crotch before his eyes trailed over the various white lines that traveled across her entire body like tattoos. She turned her head from one side to another, and he saw that she had no face! She only had slit eyes that were glaring at the walls of the cave in annoyance! But it was her hair that stood out to him the most! Her hair was everywhere! It was like a vast sea of white threads spread out around her erratically and it was so long that it covered nearly fifty ters around her!

This was the Bishop.

The man imdiately got to his knees as she turned her eyes to look at him, and she finally sat up and sat down cross-legged as she regarded him curiously. She tilted her head to the side like she was trying to rember who he was before her eyes finally widened as she spoke.

"You're one of the spies. Yes, I rember now. What are the rest of your team?"

The Russian spoke quickly. He had no idea where ht Rook had spoken from since she had no mouth but he wasn't curious enough to try and find out,

"I felt it was important to bring news to you, Bishop. The human KING has caught on to our plan, and he engaged the other mbers of my team before we could co here. I believe he is trying to find this cave."

The Bishop sighed and fell back onto her back tiredly as she looked around with another frown. She hated that she was still in this cave. It was so fucking ugly. She wanted to see the sky!

"What about the Japanese woman? Is she here?"

The Russian nodded.

"Yes, Bishop. She is here in the tournant. And… the QUEEN is here as well."

The Bishop imdiately sat up again once she heard that, and she tilted her head to the side as her eyes narrowed like a faux-smile. Is that so? She was here?

"So the traitor finally graces us with her presence? To think she would dare to keep living after abandoning the KING. You did well to make it here. If I rember correctly, then you and your team were given the blessing before you left, weren't you?"

The Russian nodded, and the Bishop narrowed her eyes and asked him why the fuck he was still in his human form?

The Russian imdiately scrambled to reach into his pocket for a pill, and once he found it, he threw it into his mouth and crushed it between his teeth!

The transformation was imdiate! The man felt his entire body growing hot as his bones and muscles started to shift and enlarge! He slamd his hands into the ground as he felt an intense pain shooting through his spine, and he shouted in exertion as he tried to withstand the changes!

The Bishop watched sourly as the man slowly changed, and she humd and fell back to lie down again as she tried to get back to sleep. The Bishop hated humans, but she couldn't deny that stupid human Salazar had done a good job with his experints over the past few years. Salazar was the main researcher among the fools that called themselves the Syndicate, and over the past four years, Salazar had been able to figure out a way to properly carry out the mutation of superhumans into anima.

A year ago, they had made a breakthrough in the biological enhancent of humans in order to create anima. They had gone all out in a major experint and put all of their best anima together in order to transform one human into a powerful anima with the potential to beco the strongest of their forces. The human that was chosen for this had been surrounded by powerful mana for a long ti, and they were able to create what was supposed to be their QUEEN from this human, but it was unfortunate that the transformation didn't go their way, and the human ended up retaining her consciousness instead of giving up control of the body to the QUEEN.

They could have used a superhuman to create the QUEEN, but they discovered that the blessing superhumans possessed prevented them from being able to create conscious anima from superhumans. Whenever they tried to make an anima from a superhuman, that anima would end up having less than average intelligence, and the only thing that it would be interested in would be the destruction and killing of humans.

That was why all of the experints that Salazar carried out using the superhumans he had kidnapped ended up as failures. The only thing they achieved with the superhuman was creating mindless beasts with no true purpose.

But after more research and taking all of the information that Salazar got for them from experinting on so many superhumans, they were able to perfect the transformation process over the past year, and the superhumans that were mbers of the Syndicate had all undergone the process to beco anima.

The pill that the Russian man had swallowed was the final catalyst that was needed to complete the process, and once it was taken, the process would be completed, and they would transform.

"Grk! Ugh! Rargh!"

The Russian, who had been squirming and grunting in pain, finally started to quiet down, and the Bishop raised her head slightly to look at him, and in his place, she saw a large tiger-human hybrid that looked far more dangerous than he did before. His clothes had all been torn off, and he was more than three ters tall. He had yellow-striped skin and sharp talons that looked deadly enough to tear through armored tanks! The power that she could feel rolling off him was also far greater than before, and now he would be strong enough to be regarded as an Eldritch class anima at least!
