Tina stared at her ceiling and thought about this for a few seconds before she just shrugged and grabbed her tablet again to keep reading her manga. Tina wasn't the sort to think about things too deeply, so she decided that she would just take things as they were from now on. If she got a chance to be with Mark, then she would take it, but if she didn't get a chance, then she would wait and hope that the crush died down on its own.

[One Day Later. The Day of the Superhuman Tournant.]
The world was alive with excitent!
This was a feeling that almost every single human in the world was feeling all at the sa ti as the tournant day finally approached. People were happily singing their national anthems on their streets in large groups as they made their way to viewing centers, and there were hundreds of bars all over the world packed with n and won who were interested in seeing the upcoming tournant.
Parents and their children had all settled down to see how the tournant would unfold, and news channels were active with excited talk shows and discussions about how the event was going to be.
On one of those news channels, three n and two won were talking over each other as they argued over what was going to happen.
One of the n, who had red hair and a beard, leaned forward enthusiastically as he spoke up loudly!
"It's obvious that Arica is the fan favorite! I an, just look at their lineup! Mark Vantias! Luna! Even Alec Ben! They have three of the strongest superhumans to ever live in their team, and that's not even ntioning all the new additions from the Alpha Squad! I think their participation at all is illegal! Having them in this tournant ruins the integrity of it!"
A woman on the side laughed. She had long blonde hair and wore glasses that she pushed up her nose as she spoke to the man in a haughty voice.
"Integrity? What integrity? This tournant hasn't even been five years old yet? In fact, I think their participation is the only thing keeping this tournant alive. If not for them, this entire thing would have crashed and burned! And besides, look at the other teams, they also have one hell of a lineup—"
"That isn't what I'm saying here! Show any other team that has a lineup as impressive as what Arica has!"
The red-haired man spoke up in irritation once again as he cut off the woman! It was obvious that he was not in favor of Arica at all. Another man on the side, who had black hair and dark skin, spoke up in a gruff voice.
"You'd think Arica was the only one with such a lineup with the way you're talking. Have you seen the Chinese lineup? That country is absolutely packed with monsters! Hao is taking up the lead in theirs, and we all know how powerful his summon is on it's own. Then we have the Germans and their crazy militaristic team! If you want to talk about unfairness, then talk about the German team who have been trained specifically on how to deal with human opponents! With the way the rules are organized, there's a high chance they're going to be going after the other superhumans instead of the anima!"
The second woman in the room quickly spoke up to add sothing in. She was an older woman with greying hair, but she still had a lot of intensity in her as she raised her hand and slamd it on the table!
Slam!
"And about the Japanese! Have you seen who they called for this tournant? Oh my god, they have gumi Yoshisa and Tenshi Hamada in the sa team! Those two have been known to take on monsters larger than buildings easily! If anyone shouldn't be allowed to have such an unfair advantage, then it is them! And the worst part is that they're the hosts, so you can't possibly tell that they won't have an advantage! Don't even get started on the Russians! Oh god, I hate that they didn't disqualify them for what they did at the start of the tournant! Attacking another country out of the blue like that is enough reason to send the whole country out of the tournant in the first place! I can assure you that if it was Arica that had done what they did, then we would already be heading ho now!"
Finally, the last man in the room, who was also the head anchor, chuckled as he started to speak up to make sure that they didn't draw out the segnt for too long.
"Well, I'm sure we're all going to find out what will happen in the tournant in due ti. But for now, we've got news that the initial test for the video system is about to begin, so please pay attention to your screens as they take you through the state-of-the-art system that will be showing us everything happening on the ground!"
…
Over in Japan, Mark and the rest of the contestants arrived at a large building in the middle of Tokyo where they were greeted by Genshi and the president of the country, along with so other mbers of the Superhuman Alliance. Once they were inside, the superhumans were all directed to change into attires that had been made specifically for them by their countries.
Henry Ford was waiting for the Arican team when they arrived in the large room where they were ant to get their uniforms and change into them, and he greeted them and wished them luck for the upcoming tournant.
Henry walked up to Mark after he finished the greeting and asked him if he was able to finish what he had planned to do in Japan. Henry didn't know anything about what Mark was planning, so Henry only guessed that Mark had co here to strike a better deal with Genshi about letting his Vanguard guild into the country.
Henry got news of Mark's eting with Genshi yesterday, and Henry thought that this ant Mark was able to finish off his business with Genshi so that he could just focus on the tournant. But Henry was seriously disappointed when he heard what Mark had to say in response.
"The eting didn't go very well, and Genshi still isn't going to allow us into his country. I think it's best to assu that nothing short of the end of the world is going to make him change his mind about this situation. I need you to do sothing for . The Russian branch of the Superhuman Alliance—do you know who their director is?"
Henry was a little surprised by the question, and he narrowed his eyes in curiosity while wondering what Mark could possibly want with that woman. The director of the Russian branch of the Superhuman Alliance was soone that Henry did not like to involve himself with at all. She was a stern-faced, large woman who looked more fit to be a part of the military than the Superhuman Alliance. She did not speak much even when they were in etings or gatherings, and whenever Henry spoke to her, even in casual conversation, he felt like he was trying to convince Hitler himself to stop being a tyrant!
