Mark humd with a small smile as Louise spoke and he raised his hand together with Louise. Mark activated the innate skill of his Full Body Constitution.

[Storm Chaser] had been activated!

The sky above Mark darkened as streaks of blue lightning began to congregate over the Seine River! Louise laughed in excitent as he also activated his blessing and created hundreds of liquid spikes that floated in the air above him!

But when Louise looked up at Mark, it was impossible for Louise to not notice the lack of any real excitent in Mark's eyes. Mark was smiling and if you hadn't been around him a lot, you would never notice, but there was a silent detachnt in Mark's gaze, and as soone who was very in touch with his emotions, Louise could easily identify exactly what it was that Mark was feeling at that mont.

Mark was bored.

BZZZTTT!!

Rumble~! Rumble~! Rumble~!

The sky above the boat rumbled as the lightning was finally charged up for an attack and Louise got his head back in the ga as he realized he was spacing out, and at the next mont, they unleashed hell upon the anima!

[The Superhuman Alliance Building.]

The ti had finally co for Mark to have the eting with Henry Ford. After Hao passed on Mark's ssage to Henry, Henry was not happy that Mark was giving him orders on when to hold the eting. Henry was the leader of the Superhuman Alliance and by default, he was a higher rank than Mark in the superhuman world. Taking orders from soone who was both lower-ranked as well as younger than him didn't sit right with Henry. It did not matter how powerful Mark was as a Superhuman.

But Henry knew that this was an important eting and they had to have it. Besides, it wasn't like Mark's reason for shifting the eting was unreasonable. Mark was going to be in France, so Henry could understand that Mark just couldn't attend until Tuesday.

Now, George and a few other high-ranking mbers of the Superhuman Alliance were waiting on top of the Superhuman Alliance building for Luna and Mark to arrive. George was a little nervous about the eting that was about to happen because he knew better than anyone just how bad the relationship was between Mark and Henry, but he held out hope that they would sohow get through the eting without any incidents. A helicopter appeared on the horizon and a man used light sticks to guide the helicopter towards the helipad on the roof.

Once the helicopter landed, Luna ca down from the passenger seat with an irritated look on her face. Luna had been in Madagascar for the past few hours dealing with a high-ranking Eldritch, and it had dragged on longer than she wanted it to because the Eldritch was a mole-type anima that constantly dug into the ground to try and escape from her. Luna had to resort to flooding the entire region and freezing the water underground before she was able to get the Eldritch to resurface and kill it.

After going through all that, Luna beca even more irritated when she had to suffer more than thirty hours on a military plane to get back to the Arican continent. Sotis, Luna missed the forr days when she and Mark were fighting against monsters that appeared in Arica alone. Going to different continents every other week was starting to beco very tiring.

Luna was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a loose black t-shirt that was tucked into the jeans. Her hair had been tied up into a bun, and she imdiately made her way over to Henry while waving the helicopter pilot away and telling him to leave.

George gave a greeting and Luna gave a quick reply before she started walking inside. George was surprised when he didn't see Mark, and he asked Luna if he was not going to join them as they walked towards the eting room.

"His plane should be arriving anyti now. I just got back from Africa, so I'm tired. Let's get going."

Luna started to walk towards the entrance, and George told one of the high-ranking mbers of the Superhuman Alliance to keep waiting on the roof for Mark's helicopter to arrive while he followed Luna to lead her to the eting room.

They entered the building and made their way down the elevator to the main conference room on the fiftieth floor. The room was very large, and there was a long table that stretched from one end to the other in the middle of it. The walls and ceiling were painted white, and the floor was made from black glossy marble. Various chairs were arranged around the long table in the room, and Luna's face soured even more as she caught sight of who was present in the room.

All the mbers of the Alpha Squad, along with Alec Ben, had also been called into the eting. Beside Alec Ben, Turner was reclining in his seat and he gave Luna a slight nod in respect once their eyes t. Luna didn't give anyone in the room too much attention, but when her eyes fell on Alpha Six, who was trying to glare a hole through her with her one exposed eye, Luna gave the woman a glare in return.

Henry spoke up from the head of the long table.

"Miss Luna, it's been a while since we last t. It's always a pleasure. I take it you ca here along with Mr. Vanitas?"

Luna ignored Henry and went to take a seat at the edge of the table on the right side of where Mark would be sitting before she spoke.

"Mark isn't here yet. Get a coffee, please. I haven't slept in days."

Henry frowned and turned to look at George, who was standing at the door when Luna said that Mark was not yet there. George felt a bead of sweat rolling down his shirt as he nervously shook his head. Henry took in a deep breath and released it calmly to reduce his anger before he spoke.

"And did Mr. Vanitas tell you when he would be arriving?"

"No, he didn't, Henry. I am not in the best mood right now. Please stop asking questions."

Luna turned to give Henry a hard look, and Henry felt so pressure from Luna's stare that felt heavier than ever before. Henry had once been far stronger than Luna was. With a high potential and a good training regi, Henry was able to beco the strongest superhuman in Arica faster than almost anyone else and worked his way up to the director position in the Superhuman Alliance, but all that changed when Luna actually started to put effort into her training and her desire to get stronger was awakened.

The only reason why Luna was holding herself back before was because she didn't want to be isolated like she had once been before, but now, Luna had a new resolution. Luna did not want to be left behind by Mark, so she was training hard every day to try and keep up with Mark's insane growth rate. It wasn't working as well as Luna hoped it would since Mark just grew far too fast, but she was able to get far stronger than anyone else around her in the process.

Now, Luna was so much stronger than Henry that just a regular stare from her was enough to subdue his anger.

Henry sat back with a sigh before he turned to George and told him to order so coffee for Luna. Luna thanked George softly as she folded her hands and crossed her legs while bowing her head. It almost seed like she was sleeping, but Luna was just trying to get so of her energy back after the long plane ride.
