"I think it'll be better for you to talk to the superhuman alliance and have them set up a eting with the leader of the Superhuman Alliance branch in Japan. They're the only ones that the Japanese listen to."
Mark humd as he saw the sense in that. The superhuman alliance was a global entity that existed in every single country in the world. One of the only reasons why Mark's guild was able to reach out to so many countries at the sa ti was because they were working closely with the superhuman alliance, and the superhuman alliance vouched for them, assuring the various governnts that Mark wouldn't try to go against the laws of those countries.
Most of the weaker anima that Mark defeated were sold to the superhuman alliance at a discount, who then sold them off to the governnt of the country where the anima was defeated at a slightly lower discount. This allowed the countries to keep the resources from the monsters, even though they didn't involve themselves in the subjugation.
There were no glaring downsides as far as they were concerned.
The superhuman alliance had already set up one eting before between the Vanguard guild and the Japanese governnt, but that eting had gone so badly that it made Mark grow a distaste for the Japanese, and it made the Japanese representative hate Mark in return.
But if they were going to handle this situation, then they needed to have another eting.
Mark folded his hands and leaned back in his seat while speaking up in slight exasperation.
"I'll talk to George and set up another eting with them. They refused us last ti because they hadn't really seen any reason to allow us in, but with what you found out, we might have a better chance this ti. Pat, keep looking into the syndicate and keep an eye on any more changes in the mana signatures around the world. Hao, get in touch with the Superhuman Alliance representatives in Asia and see if we can't set up a eting with the Director there so things go over smoothly. The rest of you can keep working on the various anima appearances around the world. If anything higher than a low-level Eldritch shows up and you don't think you can handle it, then let know."
Mark dismissed the eting, and the mbers of the executive team started to file out. Hao, the Chinese man who hadn't spoken much during the entire eting, gave Mark a tired look when Mark told him to et with the Asian representative from the superhuman alliance, but Mark just told him that there was no other option. Hao was on good terms with the head of the Asian branch of the superhuman alliance, so it would be easier for him to reach out to them.
Hao just didn't like doing it because the head of the Asian branch of the superhuman alliance had been trying to seduce him for a while now. She was a pretty young woman with enough power to work as an A-rank superhuman, and since Hao was one of the strongest Asian superhumans, she saw him as a fitting partner for marriage. Hao had told her many tis that he wasn't interested in marriage, but she wasn't one to give up easily at all.
"Use that masculine charm of yours and get us a eting, master Hao!"
The French man, Louise, spoke loudly when he saw the look of frustration on Hao's face, and he laughed when Hao turned to glare at him. Hao was a summoner-type superhuman who had been blessed by the dragon king, Lingwang. His summon was a large red dragon, which had been classified as a high-level Eldritch-class beast with how much power it had. Hao couldn't summon the beast while he was in here since it would destroy the entire building by just appearing, but his glare was enough of a warning to make Louise back down and stop teasing him.
Mark chuckled and watched as the executives all left, and he turned to Luna as she touched his arm and told him that she was going out for a bit.
"I need to talk to my secretary and so of the other vices and see how things are going with the dostic guild missions. I'll et you in the lobby when I'm done?"
Mark nodded and told her to call him when she was finished, and Luna leaned forward to kiss him before she left while bringing her phone out to call her secretary for a report.
When they had all gone, Mark turned and asked Pat if they had gotten anything else, and Pat just said that they hadn't. The world was very silent right now for so reason, and although Pat didn't like being morbid, he couldn't help but think that this was the calm before the storm. Like there was sothing big coming, and the world was just preparing for it.
Mark sighed and stood up while cracking his neck. Mark also thought this silence was strange, but he decided not to let it get to him. He would deal with whatever ca when it ca. But until then, he would gather as much power as possible.
"Keep posted about any changes in the mana fluctuations, and you need to get back to Jeanne. She keeps telling that you aren't picking up her calls, and she thinks it's because you've got a girlfriend now and you're ignoring her. Don't be a dick." Enjoy new stories from My Virtual Library Empire
Pat snorted in amusent as he heard this.
"Does she think I have the ti to handle a girlfriend with all the shit you have doing at the sa ti? I even dropped out of school for this guild. If I have a girlfriend, then it's this."
Mark shrugged and watched as Grace brought them coffee. Grace said sothing about an experint they had to check out later, and Pat nodded and told her to start heading to their office. He would be right there after talking with Mark. As Grace nodded and started skipping out of the office, Mark noticed Pat's eyes watching Grace's behind.
Was this fucking bastard doing this on purpose or was he so emotionally stunted that he just didn't realize what he was doing?
Mark wisely chose not to comnt on the sequence of events he just witnessed, and instead, he just dismissed the conversation.
"I'll tell Jeanne you're busy, but you should still try to call. She's your only family, you bastard. Take care of her more."
Pat nodded slowly in understanding and finally told Mark that he would call her later, and Mark left to go finish off so work as well.

Title: QUEEN
Rank: PHANTASMAL Rank I
Potential: ELITE Rank I
…
That night, Arit walked out of the Vanguard hospital with a small sigh as she checked her phone for the ti and saw that it was almost eleven. Arit had gotten a car a few months ago to help her get to the hospital quicker, and she was about to make her way to the car park when she noticed sothing strange in the distance.
'There's soone watching us.'
The Queen spoke up from inside Arit's head, and Arit frowned as she also noticed eyes on her. The hair on her neck stood in irritation, and Arit turned to look at who it was.
A man was standing on the sidewalk opposite the hospital building and watching her. Arit wasn't a stranger to people watching her since she was very popular in the world. There were too many images and news channels reporting her every action since she was dating Mark. But this ti, the way the man was watching her seed different from what she was used to. It was almost like he was studying her as a specin.
