"Koff! Koff! Wow, so people do this shit here too? I thought only terrorists back on Earth did stuff like this."
Mark coughed a few tis to get rid of the smoke before cracking his neck and turning back to the soldiers.
"Now, where were we?"
The soldiers all felt despair fill thier hearts at the sight.
"H-He’s a monster! He’s a monster!"
"That explosion didn’t even do anything to him! How can we fight this!?"
"We have to run away!"

The soldiers imdiately started to take steps back, and Mark wasted no ti as he used their confusion to launch himself into their midst, and a massive shockwave blew through the hall as Mark released a punch that tore a hole through them!
[Critical Hit]!
[Sonic Impact: Lightning]!
BOOM!
…
Jas ran through the hallway leading out from the throne room with Seraph at his side, and they had to stop moving as they felt another series of tremors travel through the grounds! They were about to start moving again once the tremors died down, but before they could go anywhere, the wall to their left was blown to pieces as an angel soldier was thrown through it like a ragdoll!
BOOM!
Seraph imdiately activated his magic, and Jas was about to reach for his weapon, but he stopped once he saw who it was that walked through the hole in the wall.
Mark tilted his head with a hum and flicked so blood off his right hand nonchalantly once he saw who he had just run into.
"Duke Grant’s son. You’re still alive even after the beating I gave you. That’s impressive."
Mark rembered the second fight he had with Jas when he attacked Duke Grant’s castle earlier yesterday. Mark had fought both Duke Grant and Jas at the sa ti and he took one of Duke Grant’s hands in the fight and left Jas unconscious after a brutal beating. Mark was surprised that Jas was still moving around so well after taking a beating like that.
"Did you co for round three? I wouldn’t mind fighting you all, but I think we both know what the outco of that fight is going to be. Instead of wasting my ti, just take to the king and let have a conversation with him. I said the sa thing to your soldiers here, but these idiots just refused to listen to . Are you going to be an idiot too, Jas?"
Mark’s nonchalant and easygoing attitude would have been enough to fool anyone into thinking he was an easy target at the mont, but Jas could easily see the way Mark’s muscles jumped at regular intervals and how his eyes trailed through the corridor and made sure there were no dangers around that he didn’t notice. It was actually terrifying to know that soone like this existed out there in the vast world outside their own.
’The demons summoned this demon lord from another world, so does that an that everyone in that world is as strong as this man? What would happen to us if we ever ran into people like them?’
This thought went through Jas’ mind, and Jas knew for a fact that if sothing like that were to ever happen, they would all be fucked!
Jas’ hand tightened around the poml of his sword, and Mark’s eyes narrowed into a warning glare.
"Don’t do it, Jas. I’m warning you. I’ve made my demands clear. Take him to the king and you don’t have to die. I’ve killed way too many people already. Adding one more to that list isn’t really going to cause any grief."
Mark’s warning rang clear through the hallway, and Jas’ hand stalled as he felt Mark’s bloodlust starting to increase. Mark was not playing around, and Jas knew that in any sort of battle, Mark would decimate him without much effort at all.
"You damn demon!"
Seraph shouted from the side and flashed past Jas as he ran straight for Mark! He pulled his sword and sent a slash at him, and Mark sidestepped it before delivering a punch to his head that sent him reeling!
BAM!
The punch rattled Seraph’s brain in a way that he didn’t think was possible! Seraph flew back like a bullet and slamd into the wall behind him before he passed out on the spot! Mark walked up to Seraph, grabbed him by the neck and began to squeeze him to death!
"Wait! Just... wait! I’ll do it! I’ll take you to the king!"
Jas quickly spoke up from the side as he saw how easily Seraph was manhandled, and Mark turned to give him a look. Jas kept eye contact with Mark and made him see that he was not lying before Mark finally let go of Seraph and dropped him to the ground.
Jas released a breath to try and calm himself before he spoke.
"Before I take you to the king, you must swear to that you will not do him any harm. Even though you are a demon, I know you are a man of your word, and no matter how much I despise you, I cannot deny that your initial intention was for our two races to have peace. If you give your word, then I’ll trust you."
Mark shrugged.
"As long as he listens to and does what I want him to do, there’ll be no need for to hurt him. I just want to talk."
Jas took another calming breath before he started to walk back towards the throne room. Mark cleaned the blood that was flowing down the side of his face and spread out his senses again to search for Arit. He did not sense her nearby, so he knew that she must’ve retreated already to prepare for the next part of their plan. Alright, he just had to finish off here before they would leave.
It took them a few minutes to get to the throne room, but once the room ca into view, Mark saw about ten guards standing in front of the large golden door, and they all released a collective gasp of shock once they saw Jas leading Mark towards the room.
"Stop right there! Jas, what do you think you’re doing!?"
The head of the guards shouted as he pointed his sword at Jas, and Jas raised his hand and told them that he would like an audience with the king.
"The demon lord simply wants to talk to the king. We already made the mistake of not allowing him to do it once, and things ended up like this because of that. We don’t stand a chance against him in a fight, just let him talk to the king."
"Have you gone mad!"
The leader shouted at Jas in anger as a light spell began to glow on his hand. He was not even going to entertain such nonsense at all! Did Jas plan to betray them and hand the king over to the demon lord!?
"If you’ve sold yourself over to the demons, then tell right now and I’ll cut you down where you stand! You think I’m a fool to believe the words of soone working with a demon!?"
The head guard shouted out to the soldiers behind him to prepare their magic, and Jas imdiately shouted for them to stop! They were making a huge mistake! The demon lord really just wanted to talk!
"That’s enough talking."
A hand landed on Jas’ shoulder, and Jas felt a shiver run down his spine as Mark pulled him back while walking forward. There was a glare on Mark’s face, and Mark’s next words sealed the fate of the soldiers in front of him.
"I’ll try to make this quick and painless."
