The charges between the air and ground traveled freely. These two charges sparked an intense reaction, giving birth to lightning.
And it just so happens that air was one of the first things Turner learned how to manipulate with his powers!
It was the most abundant thing on the planet, so when Turner joined the Superhuman Alliance, he could still practice with it without even having to leave his office. Turner and Tina would train together like this a lot.
Turner would make lightning appear by reducing the density of air at a certain point above Tina, and Tina would take control of the lightning that resulted from that reaction, using it to fuel her skills and directing it toward whatever enemy she was trying to attack!
This allowed Turner to improve his grasp of the elents and gave Tina ti to learn how to control lightning without needing to generate it herself It was perfect!
But ever since Tina gained the ability to create lightning perfectly, learned how to control it without being overwheld, and got strong enough to do it without even needing to think, they haven’t had any reason to catch lightning anymore.
Turner grinned as the mories of their practice ca back to him, and he imdiately jumped into action to avoid a wild swing from a giant bull-based anima that tried to skewer him with its horn!
Tina didn’t reply to Turner’s words from before, but from the corner of his eye, Turner saw that Tina was already ready and waiting for his signal! She didn’t even question whether or not he would still be able to bring down the lightning as precisely as before! She just trusted that he was going to do it! Turner’s grin widened as he put his hand up and split the air asunder!
CRACKLE!
BZZZZZTTT!
A massive torrent of raw lightning shot down from the sky and blasted towards the ground as the difference in charges pulled power from the clouds. Tina raised her sword into the air and acted as a lightning rod, imdiately grabbing hold of the lightning that was coming!
A large Rhino anima had been running towards Tina recklessly, and Tina supplented the lightning she absorbed with her own mana, amplifying its intensity and increasing the raw power inside it before she delivered a slash that decimated the world in front of her!
"CELESTIAL FURY!!"
KA-BOOOMM!!!
A massive explosion of raw lightning and fire flashed across the landscape, and a large dust cloud rose into the air as everything was blown back! Turner was also blown back from the force, and he had to quickly dodge out of the way as a large bat anima tried to skewer him with its tail!
The anima screeched at Turner angrily as it tried to hit him, but Turner raised his hand and ford a solid wall of air in front of him that the anima slamd into hard!
BAM!
The anima fell to the ground disoriented, and Turner imdiately slamd his hand into its midsection and threw it far into the distance! The anima was only a low-level Disaster class, so it didn’t get back up from Turner’s hit and Turner was finally able to take a few steps back and catch his breath!
Turner then turned around to see the destruction that Tina’s Celestial Fury had caused, and his eyes widened as he saw that it had carved a path straight through the landscape like a fucking laser beam! The ground was smoking, the air was crackling, and there was a dead calamity burnt to a crisp on the side! She destroyed everything!
BOOM!
BOOM!
"Turner! I need another one!"
The sound of fighting drew Turner’s attention back to his sister, and he saw that she was being assaulted by two large calamity-class monsters! The monsters had seen the destruction she could cause, and now they were trying to get rid of her since they saw her as the bigger threat between the both of them.
Tina shouted at him to create another lightning bolt while blocking a charge from a lizard-based anima, and Turner had to dodge out of the way as the bull he had been fighting before ca in with another charge!
Turner put his hand in the air and split the sky apart once more to summon lightning!
Nothing happened, and Turner cursed!
"Fuck! I’m low on Mana! I need ti to recharge!"
"What the fuck!?"
Tina shouted in anger as Turner said this, and she had to dodge as the lizard anima spat a wad of acid at her! She activated her own mana and sent a blast at the lizard, and since it did not expect the attack at all, it was blindsided and thrown back from the Celestial Fury!
Tina looked inside herself again and grimaced as she realized that she was down to less than fifteen percent of her mana. Using mana to boost Turner’s lightning wasn’t that draining, but using her own mana to create the Celestial Fury was almost enough to put her in the red!
Three large calamity classes charged towards Tina at the sa ti, and Tina imdiately decided that they couldn’t win this! They had to find a way to get out of there! Turner was busy trying his best to escape from the large bull calamity class that had made it its personal mission to kill him, and Tina shouted to him!
"Turner! We have to run! We can’t win!"
Turner cursed as the bull almost stabbed him in the liver!
"What does it look like I’m trying to do!? Create a Celestial Fury into the ground and destroy the entire place! We can use that to run!"
Tina followed Turner’s order as she jumped back from the anima while raising her sword to create a Celestial Fury, but before she could do that, another loud masculine voice echoed through the area!
"DUCK!!"
The twins didn’t need to be told twice as they both fell to their fronts at the sa ti!
PHWOOM!
A massive wave of fire flashed across the area and threw all the anima back imdiately! A woman landed beside Tina and slamd her hand on the ground, and a large earth wall rose from the ground in front of them, preventing the anima from being able to get to them!
The woman who helped them was soone that Tina did not recognize, but another man spoke up from behind them, and Tina turned around quickly once she recognized that voice.
"Are you both okay?"
"Tyler!"
Tyler, Fiona’s vice-captain and the current leader of the Artemis guild ran up to Turner and grabbed him off the ground! Tyler had on a large t-shirt and black trousers, but there was no hiding the various burn marks that littered his face and arm from the fight he had against Gunter a long ti ago.
Even though Tyler healed from the fight without any major injuries, that didn’t an he ca out unscathed.
"Co on, we have to hurry! The wall won’t hold them for long!"
The woman who had created the wall helped Tina to her feet, and they all raced down the street!
BOOM!
