Everyone’s eyes went wide with shock when they saw Amy punch a hole through not just the wall of the room, but also the mountain itself, sending out a spray of debris all over the outside.
At the sa ti, Gray used his aura to create a divide in front of them so that a landslide from above did not fill up the hole again.
Stanley got over his shock and quickly walked out of the room, walking over a section of plain soil and dirt that had been broken as well. He stared out of the giant hole and saw the army of pitch-black darkness already at their front door.
There were hundreds of them, no more than a hundred ters away, having thoroughly destroyed every inch of the land behind them, turning it all into rubble.
Stanley rembered this scene back then. The wave of Ink Crawlers that destroyed his own town. He felt himself getting angry at this mont, wanting to destroy it all.
As he thought that, the power Sheila had used to get rid of his strength returned as well. He was ready to fight whatever was here next.
Stanley turned looked back at everyone, especially Sheila. "I’ll be back in a bit," he said and jumped down.
Gray smiled and shrugged. "What the kid said," he said before jumping behind Stanley to go et the monsters.
The rest of them watched the group go down and quickly moved themselves. They arrived at the upper floor where Mona killed a few zombies with her crystals. They were still running around the place even after the Life Nova had died, only now with no purpose at all.
They arrived at the office where Caleb walked in to quickly boot up the system. He was then shocked to find that NOVA had already booted up on its own.
Caleb didn’t have anything he could use to manually set up things, but thankfully NOVA could help him. "This place is going to get very steamy, very fast," Caleb said. "We need to warn those who are still alive to stay away from the center."
"Just have the AI be ready to do it on my command," Amy said. "Once we’re set, I’ll co down here and start the sequence."
"That’s all set then," Caleb said. "You have the highest authority here after all."
Amy nodded. "Let’s—"
She moved around imdiately, her hands grabbed onto sothing sharp and pitch black. It dissipated into black mist in the next mont and what remained in front was a woman with pitch-black hair and bright red eyes.
"He’s not here," she said slowly. "Sowhere else then."
"Raven!" Sheila and Caleb cried out at the exact sa ti.
Mona clapped instantly, sending out a barrage of crystal shards that tore through the woman’s chest. Only, the woman herself dissipated into a bunch of black mist.
"A Shadow clone," Amy said with a frown.
"She’s gone," Hobb said. "We need to leave. There may be more hurting our people above."
Everyone nodded and left. They quickly moved up the floors, arriving in the cafeteria section that in the floors halfway in between the top and the bottom. Along the way, they took with them people they could find all around, or killing those who were not their group.
In the end. They had around 20 people gathered when they made it to the cafeteria section.
The cafeteria was a place of chaos with many dead bodies littering the floor. There were people either injured or cowering to the side, not moving.
"Are you guys alright?" Hobb asked, seeing that the ones alive were just their n.
"Director!" one of them shouted. "We need help. There are a few wounded we need to take care of."
"The dical team should be making their way down here quickly," Hobb said. "Stella, can you prepare so bandages for now?"
"Yes," Stella said, moving ahead to help them.
"Heal them and we need to go et the dical team before finding ourselves a place to bunker into," the director said.
"We should stay here, director," another young man to the side said. "This is the safest place. We should stay here and not go anywhere else."
"I don’t know if that is a good idea," the director said.
"That is a great idea actually," the sa young man said. "I believe it makes perfect sense for us to do that."
"Really?" Hobb asked. "Maybe we should do that. Maybe we should—"
Sheila pulled out a gun and shot the young man through the head, causing everyone else to reel back in shock. Amy instantly caught Sheila’s hands, stopping her from shooting anyone else.
"What are you doing?" the director turned around, furious at that exact mont.
He had his hands out, ready to lock her powers.
"He’s not one of ours," Sheila said calmly.
"What?" the director asked.
"That guy I just killed, he’s soone from the Darkwing clan. I rember him back in Stanley’s village. He goes by the na Gallen or Gillan or sothing. He influences other people’s emotional state and reasoning. You were starting to believe him that we should stay here and die in the steam."
The director paused, thinking about what he had just decided to do. "Wow..." he said slowly.
Amy let go of Sheila. "In that case," she looked around. "Caleb, any face you don’t recognize?"
Caleb looked through everyone. "Him, him, her, him and her."
Before the 5 could do anything, Amy had gathered them all in one place, giving them a chance to explain who they were at gunpoint. Once they couldn’t, they were all killed.
The ones who had been gathered were taken up the floor to et with the dical team that was sweeping all the floors downward. Once they t, they hid themselves in a large room, leaving only Amy behind who went to the lower floor to activate the manual fire suppressant systems.
In the next mont, a large steam explosion shook the very building as the lava in the lobby was blasted with water.
