Chapter 8: Pawn Class Subordinate

[Will the User like to read through the [System Glossary]? Yes/No]

Jason raised his head slightly to make sure that there were no other beasts around before he chose yes and watched the system create an entire list of explanations.

——

[Glossary]

The user has awakened the [Necromancer System], and this Glossary was created as a ans of getting the user accustod to the new abilities and power he possesses. Please read through the definitions and explanations below to understand more about the [Necromancer System].

——

-> Legion Class: This is a depiction of the user's class within the Necromancers Legion. The User is designated as the KING, and he holds the highest authority over all the other creatures within the Legion.

-> Subordinates: The user is capable of resurrecting any magical creature and making it into his subordinate to aid him in battle. The rank of a subordinate depends on its strength and skill, and this rank can be upgraded using upgrade points. Each subordinate Class possesses three Ranks.

-> Alternate Dinsion: Along with the [Necromancer System], the user has inherited the Alternate Dinsion which can be used to hold any magical object, including Artefacts and excess Magic Crystals. When not in service, the subordinates will return to the Alternate Dinsion from which they can be resummoned when needed.

-> Kill Points: These are points gained after the user kills any beast. Different beasts of different power levels grant a different amount of Kill Points. The lowest number of Kill points that can be gained from any one beast is 15 Kill Points from an F Rank Sli.

-> Upgrade Points: These are the points that can be used in leveling up the user's subordinates. In order to gain upgrade points, the user must first gain a sufficient amount of Kill Points before transforming them into Upgrade Points. One hundred [100] Kill Points are equivalent to one Upgrade Point. Different subordinates will require a different amount of Upgrade Points in order to level up their class.

-> Mana Points: This depicts the amount of mana the user possesses at any one ti. The user must keep an eye on his mana level because he will need mana to increase the number of his subordinates and participate in battles.

——

'It finally makes sense.'

Jason read through all the descriptions nadhe humd as he understood everything! If not for these explanations, then Jason would have taken a long ti to try and understand everything!

From what Jason read, the two most important things were the [Kill Points] and his [Mana].

He needed mana to summon his subordinates and he needed Kill Points to create Upgrade Points so he could level up his subordinates.

The [Alternate Dinsion] also stood out to Jason since its descriptions made it seem very useful, but Jason decided that he would look into that later.

'So I just need to kill as many beasts as possible and take them as subordinates. Then I can raise them to higher ranks using the upgrade points. But how exactly do I get them to beco my subordinate?'

Jason looked down at the beast he had killed. It was still lying on the floor, and there was no sign of it getting up to beco his subordinate. It was as dead as it could be!

Did he have to do sothing special for them to beco his subordinate?

[The User must spread his mana into the body of the beast and summon the beast's soul.]

[P.S. The beast may reject the user's command if it possesses a stronger will than the user.]

'Spread my mana...?'

Jason closed his eyes as he tried to feel for his mana. He was completely new to all this, so the sensation of mana was completely foreign to him! He didn't even know what he was looking for! But it didn't take long before he suddenly felt a new energy flowing within his body. It was heavy and oppressive, and it gave Jason a new surge of vitality that he knew he didn't have before!

This was the sa feeling Jason got when he first Awakened the system! Back then, Jason thought it was adrenaline flowing through him, but it actually turned out to be the mana that he gained.

It moved like an energy source, energizing every single bit of him and making him sharper and stronger.

Jason thought about bringing the mana out from his body, and although it was sloppy, he was able to spread it out into the atmosphere and towards the Moonlight Wolf. As the mana washed over the beast, Jason could feel a link forming between the both of them, almost like he was holding a rope and dragging the beast's soul out of its body.

But before he could bring it out, he needed to add a little more force.

'Now I need to call its soul, right? How do I even call a soul? It won't make sense if I just tell it to co out. It'll be hard to use that in a fight. I need a word. Sothing short...'

Jason stared at the body of the Moonlight Wolf as he racked his brain for sothing to use. The mana spreading through his body proved to be a useful energizer for his thoughts as well. Jason could feel his mind working at a much faster pace than normal as he thought up various possibilities. Jason wondered if this was how Superman always felt! It was amazing!

Jason only thought for a few seconds before he nodded to himself and finally turned to the Moonlight Wolf. Jason placed his intent at the front of his mind before he said:

"Resurrect."

A pulse of energy filled the air as Jason's mana suddenly pulled the soul free from its body.

[The system has detected the use of a [Key Word] for Resurrection.]

[The system has saved the Key Word [Resurrect] and will use it for all future Resurrections.]

A replica of the Moonlight Wolf dragged itself out from the body lying on the ground. The replica had the sa white fur, but now there was a purple hue surrounding its body, and its black marks had been changed to purple as well. The wolf growled as it turned to face Jason, and Jason saw that the injury he gave it across its left eye was still there.

He stood his ground and narrowed his eyes while gripping his knife tighter. This was only the first ti he was summoning a beast, so he still didn't know what to do afterward. If there was even a small chance that the beast would turn on him, then he would need to fight for his life again!

The beast suddenly raced toward him and pounced, and Jason's eyes widened in surprise as he was thrown to the ground! A wet tongue ran across Jason's face repeatedly, and Jason put his hand up to push the giant wolf back.

"Stop, stop. For fuck's sake, stop licking . Sit. Sit, you damn dog!"

Jason was trying his best not to raise his voice since he knew that the other wolves were still out there, but eventually, he had to raise it to tell the wolf to get off him!

The wolf finally moved backward and sat on its hind legs while looking at Jason with curious eyes. It wagged its tail as Jason sat up and tried to wipe the slobber off his face, and he glared at the wolf in anger. The wolf tilted its head to one side and then panted in excitent.

Jason's eyes trailed upwards as he saw sothing floating over the creature's head.

——

Jason turned to take a look at his system tab and he saw that the number of pawn class subordinates he had increased from 0 to 1. The mana that he had also reduced by ten points and it was now at [75/105], aning that he had consud so mana to summon the wolf.

Jason then read through the Skill Tree tab very carefully. He was able to imdiately understand what the system was telling him and he couldn't help the small chuckle that escaped his lips!

So the more subordinates he got, the more unique skills he could unlock from those subordinates? Right now, Jason was gaining ten percent of the power from his pawns, but if he got even more of them, then he would gain more benefits!

'So it has 50MP and I got 10% from the boost, so that's 5MP. And I can feel my other stats rising as well, I'm stronger than I was before the summoning. But the system said I only got this much because it's a pawn. Does that an I can get a higher percentage and even more benefits if I get a subordinate in a different class? Will the Rook give

20 or 30% of its stats? That ans I can keep growing stronger as long as I keep killing strong monsters and taking them as subordinates! That's freaking amazing!'
