Chapter 772: T’arigan, the Dwarven Lord

Jason read through the Artefact analysis with only a glance, and he humd calmly before turning back to Farlow as Farlow spoke up.

"I wanted to speak to you regarding the recent conversation we had. I understood that you were concerned about the council’s decisions about you and Hesabeth, so I decided it would be best to have another eting with soone who was actually present during the council eting. But keep in mind that this eting is confidential, therefore I would appreciate it if you did not disclose anything we discuss here to anyone outside this room. Sharing council secrets with soone who is not a part of the council is a cri that can bring serious consequences."

Jason humd in agreent, and he nodded seriously to Farlow’s words before Farlow finally leaned forward and sent a small wave of magic towards the crystal ball on the table. The ball flickered for a mont, and a high-definition image suddenly appeared on the ball. The person who appeared was a stout-looking man with a deep frown on his face and a long beard. The man’s skin looked slightly bronze - as though he was used to sitting in front of fires for very long periods – and he had various gems and magic stones hanging on his ears and beard as jewelry. Jason imdiately recognized the man as one of the council mbers whom he had t during his trial. This was T’arigan, the sovereign of the Dwarven race of Foragen. From what Jason learned about Foragen through the system, Jason knew that they were a race of dwarves who were known to be the greatest Artefact Craftsn in the Primordial Expanse! During the Period of Lawlessness, the Dwarves were the one race that enjoyed the greatest prosperity, and none of the other races dared to attack them because every other race depended on the dwarves in one way or another for weapons and Artefacts! And even if a race tried to attack the dwarves, it was easy for the dwarves to repel them since the dwarves had an entire Legion of TITAN level Colossal Artefacts protecting their borders! Trying to invade the world of the dwarves would be like fighting against an entire army of giants who were all throwing deadly attacks towards you! It was impossible to go ten steps without dying!

Since the dwarves were so peaceful and only focused on their craft, they did not have many enemies in the Primordial Expanse, and this was what allowed them to simply go through the Period of Lawlessness with hardly any casualties on their end! Jason was a little surprised to see that T’arigan and Farlow were close enough for T’arigan to act as Farlow’s spy in the council, but when Jason really thought about it, he figured that it wasn’t that surprising. The elves were also known to be a peaceful race, and out of all the races on the council, the dwarves and elves were probably the two that would get along the most. But the one thing that stuck out to Jason the most from back then was the fact that T’arigan was one of the people who had voted against him during the trial. Jason didn’t know if T’arigan had voted against Jason because T’arigan didn’t like him or if T’arigan had simply voted based on what he believed, but Jason decided to let go of that for now as he listened to what T’arigan had to say.

T’arigan looked from Farlow over to Jason, and his face soured even more as he finally spoke.

"Just so ya know, the only reason I’m doing this is c’us I owe Farlow here a favour. Don’t think fer a mont that I’m doing this for yer sake."

T’arigan’s voice was deep and guttural, and he had a strange accent that reminded Jason of the Vikings from back on Earth. T’arigan was speaking the Elven language, but his thick accent and voice made it sound like sothing completely different from what Jason was used to! Jason didn’t bother to respond to T’arigan’s words since Jason already knew that T’arigan wasn’t his friend. The only reason Jason was here was because of Farlow, and Jason knew that Farlow had only done this because of what Gina did for his family. Jason had no intention of forming so pointless relationship with T’arigan, and he just waited with a calm look on his face for T’arigan to finally begin. But it was Farlow who spoke up first.

"You told

earlier that more information ca up in the recent council etings. If you aren’t comfortable sharing that information with Jason, then we can just –"

"Bah, it’z fine! What trouble is ye going to give

anyway? Better to hear this straight from the origin. Look er Jason, the council recently had a eting about what to do with yar. There’s been too many complaints about what you did in Machina from those old follies ruling the parallel worlds, so our hands iz practically tied. And with Rak’hael acting a fool, things aint looking good for yer. In truth, most of us were onboard with bringing yer onto the council and giving you a seat. We didn’t mind yer actions on Machina since all’f us have had our fair share of genocide at one point or another. And besides, it’z partially our fault fer not figuring out the Overlord’s identity earlier. But there are two main things ter stopping you from taking a seat. One of them is sothing simple. We just had Lamina threatening to quit on us and leave the council earlier. She claid that as her lord, she can’t be having herself sit on the sa throne as yer, so her stepping back is only natural. That can put a real damper in our plans cus then we got two empty seats instead of just one, and the other thing is your status. Hate to break it to yer, but you’re still a Black Enigma, boy. And worst of all, you’re even more of a Black Enigma right now than you were a few months ago. The power level of yer world ain’t up to par with the amount of power ye holding, so it’ll be difficult to authorise returning to yer world at all."

Jason’s brow had just grown tighter and tighter the longer he heard T’arigan speak. Even with his thick accent, Jason was still able to understand everything T’arigan had said, and by the ti T’arigan was done, Jason was frowning in absolute irritation! Honestly, Jason should have seen this coming. When Jason had killed the Overlord, he knew that the only thing he was doing at that ti was proving that the current Rubik was not the real Rubik, but even though Rubik wasn’t real, that doesn’t an that what Rubik had done to Jason was completely false! Rubik branding Jason as a Black Enigma was actually the right thing to do because Jason’s power level was just far too high for Earth! Jason had actually been contemplating how he was going to go back to Earth now without causing too much damage to the people or infrastructure with his power! As a TITAN, Jason’s power was far beyond anything Earth could handle since it was only a Rank II world, and if Jason released his power even for a split second, then he was sure he could cause impossible damage to Earth!

But Jason also knew he could easily fix that issue by sealing his power until he needed to release it, so there shouldn’t be any issues with that! Jason spoke up calmly.

"So what is the council proposing right now? Are you trying to say I can’t step foot in my own world anymore?"
