Chapter 708: Aren’t You Going to Thank ?

Queen Hesabeth looked more relaxed than Jason had ever seen her! The usual royal attire and shiny jewelry were gone, and instead, she was wearing a thin silk night gown that left almost nothing to the imagination. Her gown had a low cut down the middle, and it was only long enough to reach her upper thigh, so her cleavage and long pale legs were left bare for Jason to see. Her long hair had been let loose, and it fell around her like a river of red that frad her beautiful face. Jason narrowed his eyes in confusion as he wondered where the fuck he was and how the hell they managed to get him here without him knowing.

’Wait... I passed out, didn’t I? Yeah, I was comforting Hesabeth, but then I felt my stamina hit zero, and I passed out. Hah, how long has it been since I was even tired? I must’ve been exhausted.’

Jason let out a small sigh as he ran a hand through his hair, and he glanced to the side again as he watched Hesabeth sleeping. Although Jason understood that Hesabeth had brought him sowhere else to rest, he couldn’t wrap his head around why she was lying in bed with him. The relationship between Jason and Hesabeth had always been complicated, but right now, Jason didn’t think that Hesabeth would even want to be in the sa room as him since he killed Gillian.

"Mmmhm."

A low moan ca from Hesabeth as her eyes began to flutter, and Jason watched calmly as she finally opened her golden eyes. Hesabeth’s eyes trailed up to et Jason’s curious gaze, and Jason was surprised when he saw her lips split into a wide, beautiful smile.

"You’re finally awake. I was afraid you would sleep for even longer."

Hesabeth slowly rose from her sleeping position, and Jason couldn’t stop his eyes from trailing down to her breasts as they bounced loosely in her gown. Hesabeth wasn’t wearing any underwear, and Jason only felt his eyes narrow further as he wondered what sort of ga she was playing here.

"Where am I?"

This was the first question Jason asked, and Hesabeth huffed as she ran her hand through her long red hair. Her full red lips split into another beautiful smile as she spoke mysteriously.

"You’re in the only place you’ll be safe. A special place that I purchased especially for your maximum comfort."

Jason growled.

"Hesabeth, don’t fucking play with . Where the fuck am I?"

This ti, Jason spoke with intense seriousness, and Hesabeth could see that he was already starting to lose his patience. Hesabeth huffed at Jason’s lack of tact. Wouldn’t it be common sense for a man to appreciate being in the room with a woman as beautiful as she was? What did it matter where they were? Hesabeth was practically offering herself to Jason and allowing him to see her in such a vulnerable state, and the only thing he could ask about was where they were! Hesabeth felt a sense of irritation bubbling up from deep inside her, but she tried her best to push it down as she spoke.

"You’re in an Anti-mana containnt room. Hmph, don’t look so surprised, and let

explain. You see, I know more about your abilities than you do. The Blood Oath that Gillian gave you wasn’t just so promise that allowed you to take her place on the Court of Dead Apostles. It was a life-altering Geass that takes ti to fully integrate into your being. After taking a Blood Oath, all Vympir must isolate themselves from the outside world for at least one week in order to fully integrate their magic, and if they don’t do that, then their Changeling alter ego will resurface, force a Blood tamorphosis, and the Blood Oath will drive them mad. You could feel it too, right? The desire of that Alter ego to resurface was especially strong inside you, and if not for my quick action, you would have lost your mind."

Hesabeth smiled up at Jason, and Jason frowned as he realised that she was right. When Jason had been bitten by Gillian, there was an Alter Ego that appeared as the Changeling. That Alter Ego was Jason’s bloodthirsty nature that took control of his body, and even after Jason managed to gain back control of his body, he could still feel the Alter Ego slamming against his consciousness and trying to break free. After Jason gained the Blood Oath, the Changeling Alter Ego only got stronger, and Jason knew that he would have had to do sothing about it eventually. Jason searched through Gillian’s mories for anything related to a Blood Oath or tamorphosis, and it didn’t take long for him to find what he was looking for. Jason read through all of it, and he realised that Hesabeth was right.

The period of isolation after a Blood Oath was ant to allow Jason’s real body and his Alter Ego to rge properly, and it would allow Jason to stay in control so that the Alter Ego didn’t try to break free at every mont. And in truth, Jason knew that this was a good thing. Jason still rembered how the Alter Ego had attacked Gina and Stella, and he didn’t want sothing like that to ever happen again. But it was still weird that Hesabeth was here with him.

"Aren’t Blood Oath Isolations ant to be done in isolation. What the hell are you doing here?"

Hesabeth grinned.

"Oh, there is no law saying it has to be done in isolation. It only says that you must remove yourself from the magic of the world for so ti and remain in isolation. Since I ca in here with you before you began your isolation, I won’t pose any danger to your tamorphosis. Oh, no need to look so distrustful. You’ll hurt my feelings. I an, after everything that I’ve done to make sure you’re well taken care of. After all the resources I poured into you and the effort I took to make sure the Council doesn’t breathe down our necks, I don’t even get a thank you?"

Hesabeth shifted on the bed and crawled forward like a cat as she approached Jason. She put her hand on Jason’s thigh and leaned up to his face with a look of raw desire in her eyes, and her voice ca out in a breathy whisper.

"Aren’t you going to thank , Jason?"

There was an intense allure around Hesabeth at that mont that would’ve completely captured the heart of any man. Even without her Primordial Bias, Hesabeth was already seen as one of the most desirable won in the entire world because of her strong personality and unparalleled beauty, and there had been many n who attempted to capture her heart with either kindness or through force. But Hesabeth had never been able to accept any of those n because she could see that they were heavily influenced by her bias, and she could never have a real relationship with them. But as Hesabeth looked up into Jason’s eyes, she felt a thrill go through her heart when she saw that he was staring right back at her without any sign of coercion or hallucination. Jason was here with her, and he was seeing her for who she truly was.

There was a flowery scent around Hesabeth that complented her delicate features perfectly, and the way she crawled towards Jason gave him a perfect view into her silk robes and the valley between her breasts. There was no man in the world who wouldn’t feel a form of lust towards Hesabeth at that mont, and Jason wasn’t any different. Jason couldn’t deny that Hesabeth was extrely desirable, but Jason was not the sort of person to fall to sothing as simple as lust. Jason ignored Hesabeth’s current state, and he asked an important question.

"Where’s Gina?"

Hesabeth’s face imdiately soured once she heard that question.
