Jason turned to Azrael after cutting Esdath off and spoke with a small grin.

The rune dropped into Jason’s Alternate Dinsion, and Azrael answered imdiately.

Jason smiled, and he turned when he heard Gina’s voice coming from the side.
"Hey, soone looks happy. Are you finally done with the rune?"
Gina spoke up as she ca out of the kitchen with a large pot of spaghetti, and Jason chuckled. Gina went to put the pot on the dining table as Jason answered that he was done, and Gina spoke up with a cheeky smile.
"I guess you can finally tell
what the rune is all about, right?"
"In a few days. It’s not finished yet."
Gina pouted at Jason’s response, and Jason laughed as he stood up and went to grab her around the waist! Jason lifted her into the air, and Gina let out a cry!
"Ahh, what are you doing!? Let
down! I need to get the rest of the food!"
Jason ignored Gina’s cries as he carried her around the room, and they both laughed as he eventually threw her down on the couch and landed on top of her. Gina’s hair was thrown all over the place, and her face was flushed red as she laughed happily, and Jason grinned as he leaned down and kissed her softly. Gina moaned into Jason’s mouth, and she ran her hand down his bare chest and back. Jason pulled back from the kiss, and he suddenly grabbed Gina’s hands and held them above her head with one hand, and Gina let out a deep gasp as Jason’s other hand went down between her legs.

Jason laughed at Gina’s words, and he pushed off the couch with a small huff and headed for the door. Jason had already sensed the Magic Essence of the person on the other side of the door, so he knew who it was. And once Jason opened the door, he spread his arms and spoke with a smile.
"Hey, Riyala."
"Jason!"
Riyala hurried into the apartnt, and she threw herself into Jason’s arms in a desperate hug, and Jason held her close and laughed as he swung her around. Riyala pulled back and kissed Jason with an excited smile, and Jason kissed her back with a small smile. Riyala and Jason had been passing ssages using his subordinates all this ti, but Riyala had desperately missed Jason since she left Earth two weeks ago! Riyala could have kissed Jason for hours at that mont, but she pouted when Jason eventually pulled back. Jason used a thumb to clean her lips, and he smiled at her before he looked towards the other people who had co there with her. Jason raised a brow and spoke in a calm voice.
"Maybe you should introduce
to the others."
Riyala felt a blush rise on her cheek! She had completely forgotten that they weren’t alone! There were three people standing at Jason’s door and watching both of them awkwardly. Jason didn’t recognize any of them, but they were all wearing the military gear of the Radagan army, and Jason wondered if it was really okay for Riyala to have these soldiers with her after the previous coup. Riyala stepped back from Jason and she tried to comport herself quickly, but with how red and swollen her lips were, she wasn’t very successful!
"U-Uhm, yes, these are the soldiers that were assigned as my protective detail for my trip. These two are Gruwen and Talum; they were once high-ranking Generals in the military, but their role in the previous coup led to them being demoted, and their dragons were taken away from them as punishnt. And the final mber is called Jallen. He is one of the Royal Army soldiers who remained loyal to the king throughout the coup, and he was assigned as my personal bodyguard."
Jason humd as he looked over the three soldiers. Even though they all looked very professional, Jason could sense a bit of fear in both Gruwen and Talum when they looked at him. It was obvious that they still felt guilty for what they had done in the previous war! But why would the dragonborn allow soldiers who were part of the coup to join the military again? If it were Earth, then there was a higher chance that the soldiers would be executed than join the military again.
’I guess they’re very low on manpower right now. Most of the stronger soldiers were either part of the Sovereign’s army or they were killed for refusing to join the Sovereign. If they start killing everyone who was part of the coup, then they would lose a significant portion of their fighting force.’
