Chapter 430: The Battle of Canberra

Jason should’ve known Agiel would be fucking difficult. Jason sent a ssage to the Phantom he had put on Agiel a while ago, asking if it had Agiel’s location, and the Phantom sent back a response telling Jason that it had the location and Agiel was alone. Jason nodded to Florence in thanks, and he turned to Liam.

"So, you said there were so more Gates for the guild?"

Liam humd as he reached under his table and grabbed the permits for three new Orange Gates that had opened around Arica. Normally, it would be unheard of to give a single guild so many contracts at the sa ti, but the Monarch guild was an exception, and Liam knew that no one would complain about giving them so many contracts! In truth, the governnt had been finding it difficult to handle all the Gates that had been opening around the country recently! Back when the BloodRaven guild was still active, they had the strongest superhuman population, and this allowed them to handle most of the Orange Gates that opened up around Arica, and it gave the Governnt so breathing room in terms of assigning Gates to other guilds. But now that the BloodRaven guild had been disbanded, it was very difficult to assign Orange Gates to any guild! Most guilds in the country were only powerful enough to handle Red Gates, and those that were powerful enough to handle Orange Gates just weren’t strong enough to handle more than one every week or so! This ant that there was an accumulation of Gates that the governnt just couldn’t give to anyone! But once the Governnt heard that Jason’s guild was willing to take on as many Gates as possible, they imdiately handed Liam all the contracts for the extra Orange Gates that had been open for too long! And the governnt emphasized that these gates needed to be closed as soon as possible so that they wouldn’t go through a Gate Break and destroy the city they opened in!

Liam handed Jason all the contracts, and Jason took them and handed them to a superhuman subordinate that appeared from the shadows beside him! Jason didn’t even bother to look through the files since he knew that Juliet would look through them, and he trusted Francis enough to split the Alpha Squad into groups so they could handle all three gates at the sa ti! Besides, if they ran into any problems, then Jason knew that the Legion would be there to help out.

Once that was done, Jason looked at the ti and spoke to Liam calmly.

"I’ll head off to et with Agiel to find out more. In the anti, let

know if there’re any other Gates that open up. If there aren’t any guilds to handle a Gate, then just hand them to my guild."

Liam was shocked to hear that Jason wanted even more work! From what Liam rembered, Jason only had ten mbers in his guild! Even though they were all high-level A Ranks and S Ranks, that doesn’t an they were invincible! It wasn’t healthy to be sending them into back-to-back gates like this! Liam said all this to Jason, and Jason just shrugged.

"I’m not going to work them to death if that’s what you’re thinking. But I want them to beco strong enough so each of them can handle an Orange Gate on their own. When they get that strong, then maybe they’ll have so free ti between each Gate. I’ll see you later."

Jason left Liam and Florence with shocked looks on their faces as he suddenly vanished into the shadows.

[Canberra, Australia.]

The capital city of Canberra is located in the southeastern region of Australia, and it is one of the largest cities in the country. The city was known to be the headquarters for many guilds in Australia, including the country’s largest guild, known as the Red Serpent Guild! This guild had more than five hundred guild mbers, and it was led by the strongest superhuman in Australia, the high-level S Rank called Robin! Robin was a summoner with the ability to control hundreds of giant poisonous spiders and snakes, and he was so powerful that he was even known to clear out entire Orange Gates all on his own!

On any regular night, the city would be brightly lit with skylights, and there would be various civilians milling about happily and enjoying the city nightlife. But on this particular night, there was an aura of darkness and despair covering the entire city. There were no civilians to be seen at all, and the only people on the streets were soldiers and superhuman Enforcers that were patrolling every major city sector! The entire city was currently on a major curfew, and every superhuman had been summoned by the city to help in a massive battle that occurred in the city between the Red Serpent guild and the terrorist organization known as New Order. Last night at exactly midnight, the New Order organization carried out an attack on the Red Serpent headquarters in Canberra. A group of suicide bombers had snuck into the facility and set off an explosion that took the life of more than twenty superhumans, and nearly five hundred civilians, both inside and outside the Red Serpent guild, had been killed by the shockwaves! New Order terrorist mbers imdiately charged into the destroyed guild building to finish off the other superhumans, and the mbers of Red Serpent imdiately went into battle against them. The battle had gone on for more than ten hours, and it was obvious to everyone that the New Order group was far stronger than the Red Serpents!

But things had gotten even worse when the leader of the New Order had shown up. He was a German man known as Yuslev, and anyone who saw him would imdiately know who he was because he had been part of the superhuman group that went into the very first Green Gate that opened in Arica! He was one of the five Rulers!

The Red Serpent Guild didn’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell against a powerhouse like Yuslev! Yuslev was an SS Rank Emitter-type superhuman with the ability to control any and all forms of water, and the strongest mber of the Red Serpents guild was only a re S Rank! The very first attack from Yuslev leveled more than a hundred thousand square feet of buildings and businesses with a wave of water that he had ford from the vapor particles in the air, and this one attack took the death count up from just under five hundred to well over three thousand! Both superhumans and civilians who had been in the region were swept away by the waves! Buildings were toppled, and entire streets were flooded! There wasn’t a single person who stood a chance against the destructive power of an SS Rank!

The military force of Australia responded to the incident as quickly as they could with enforcers and other anti-superhuman weapons, but they were still outclassed by Yuslev, and they had to eventually call on Enforcers from other countries to co and help! That was the reason why Agiel was called to co to Australia by the Chief Commander of the Enforcers! Agiel was one of the strongest Commanders in the force, so she was paired up with other powerful Enforcers, and they all fought against the New Order group and pushed them back! The battle lasted for close to a day, but eventually, they managed to push the New Order back into a corner, and they killed a lot of the group’s mbers. But the leader, Yuslev, managed to escape before they could capture him, and that left a bitter taste in the mouth of all the enforcers since they knew that the leader being alive ant that this wasn’t yet over.
