Chapter 319: The Attack Begins
"Go down and prepare the n to enter the Gate with ."
Jaraht stood up from his makeshift chair, and Runa saluted as she quickly began to make her way to the n sitting around the campfire. Jaraht continued to look at the Yellow Gate in irritation. He had only co here today because he thought that it would be a good bonding exercise for the n, but Grinot had ruined his mood by wasting so much ti. If it turns out that the fool was still fighting against so scum from that Rank II world, then Jaraht would kill him! Jaraht couldn’t allow a weakling to stain the reputation of the Royal Army!
Jaraht looked down, and he watched as the mbers of his Regint quickly began to gather their swords and armor. The dragons at the side began to stir as they saw their riders getting ready to leave, and Jaraht smiled as he saw his own dragon getting up as well. His dragon had black scales covering its body with long black horns growing out from its skull, and it was larger than the other dragons since it was older and stronger. The other dragons would only be his level S Ranks, but Jaraht’s dragon was already an SS Rank! The only dragons that were stronger than it in the Radagan Army were the dragon belonging to the Sovereign himself and the dragons belonging to the strongest General!
Jaraht gave his dragon a toothy grin when he saw it raise its large wings and let out a deep roar that made the other dragons around it take a step back in fear, and Jaraht was about to start walking towards his dragon when he suddenly felt sothing strange in the air! It was an almost instinctual feeling that ca over him at that mont! There were no signs or even a shift in mana, but for so reason Jaraht imdiately turned towards the Yellow Gate in the distance, and he narrowed his eyes as he seed to look right through the Gate and into whatever was on the other side! The other n hadn’t noticed anything and they were still talking and joking happily between themselves, but Runa managed to catch a glimpse of the General’s serious expression, and she knew that there was sothing wrong!
Runa imdiately shouted for the n to grab their weapons and armor! She told them to get themselves ready and get into position so they could defend against whatever was on the other side of that Gate! The soldiers were obviously confused since none of them had seen the serious expression on the General’s face, but they were soldiers, and it wasn’t their job to ask questions! Once they heard their orders, they imdiately began to get to their feet and grab their weapons! So of the soldiers ran into their tents and put on their armor, while the dragons that were around the campsite began getting ready when they sensed the turmoil going through the minds of their partners! There had still been any sign of danger at all, but everyone was imdiately on edge!
Jaraht moved towards the Gate with his eyes narrowed into a glare. He stopped about a hundred ters away from the Gate, and he tilted his head to one side as he saw a figure slowly starting to erge from within it! It was a single tall figure that wore black robes that went all the way down to its feet, but its face and hands were nothing but skeletal bones that made Jaraht’s eyes widen imdiately! A Lich!? Jaraht was about to say sothing, but he imdiately tensed as the Lich raised its staff into the air, and Jaraht shouted to the n behind him!
"PREPARE FOR BATTLE!!"
BOOM!!!
All of a sudden, a giant worm that was larger than a freaking skyscraper tore itself out from the shadows under the n with its mouth wide open! The dragonriders were all shocked when they suddenly realized that they were about to be swallowed by the worm, but that didn’t stop them from attacking! These n were mbers of the Radagan Royal Army, and they weren’t going to be taken down by so fucking worm!
PHWOOM!
Every single one of them suddenly activated [Emberstorm] at the sa ti, and an enormous wave of fire erupted across the campsite! The worm was consud in the fire, and it let out a loud screeching sound as it moved around erratically! More worms suddenly burst out from the shadows and attacked the n as well, but this ti they were ready for it as they drew their swords and charged in for an attack! Jaraht jumped forward to attack the Lich, but before he could get close to it, a large dragon tore itself out from the shadows and roared at him! Jaraht’s brow furrowed the mont he set eyes on the dragon, and he realized that this was no living dragon! Did the Lich resurrect the soul of a dead dragon!?
ROARRR!
The dragon unleashed a blast of fire towards Jaraht, and Jaraht crossed his hands as he was pushed back by the attack! The Radgan dragons that had been resting at the side all roared in agitation as they ca forward to face off against the attackers, and at the sa ti, more figures appeared from the Yellow Gate and walked into the world of Radagan. Jason was the one who ca in first, and behind him, Riyal and Gina entered with the other superhumans following behind them. The superhumans all seed shocked the mont they set foot in this world, and it was obvious that so of them still hadn’t fully believed Jason’s stories about there being another world on the other side of the Gate! They must’ve thought that they would enter into another Gate to face a boss, so seeing the soldiers and the town in the distance was a shock to them!
Jason looked around the campsite with a calm gaze, and he took in everything that was happening all at once. The soldiers were fighting the worms, and one of his Rook Rank dragons was being defeated by another soldier. Jason already knew that they would run into the soldiers here since his subordinates told him about it, so Jason imdiately started to give out his orders.
’Raya, you’re in charge of the containnt unit. Take as many subordinates as you need and make sure no one leaves this town. Azrael, go through the shadows and move to the Royal Palace to start your Rune sequence. Ragnar, you’re with . We’re going to kill the General and his dragon.’
The subordinates imdiately started to follow Jason’s orders. Jason needed to maintain the elent of surprise when he eventually attacked the Royal Palace, so he had to make sure that no one left this town! By the ti Jason was done killing most of the soldiers, he was sure that so of them would try to retreat and warn the others, so Raya’s job was to make sure that no one could leave! Azrael imdiately fell into the shadows and began making its way towards where the Royal Palace was, and Ragnar released a loud roar as it tore itself out from the shadows and into the real world!
The mont the other superhumans saw Jason’s subordinates moving, they also began to move! Jason had given them their orders before they ca into the Gate, and he made sure they all knew which subordinate they would be moving with in the fight! The superhumans all followed one or more of Jason’s subordinates, and Jason nodded as he saw Gina taking off with the Skyking! Jason turned to Riyal behind him, and he spoke.
"You need to leave now. Are you ready?"
