Chapter 254: Queen Hesabeth

The woman turned her piercing gold eyes toward Jason, and Jason felt a strange feeling of adoration fill his body. It was almost like a part of Jason suddenly developed the intense urge to protect this woman no matter what!

Jason frowned.

’What the fuck is this?’

[The system has detected a significant amount of mana being directed towards the user’s ntal faculties. The system is attempting to analyse the nature of this attack...]

[Analysing...]

[Analysis complete. The system has deduced that the ’Primordial Expanse’ is attempting to interfere with the user’s actions. The system has perford a temporary block in order to counter the interference, but the system suggests that the user exercise caution while interacting with the incoming subject. She is incredibly dangerous.]

Jason blinked in surprise at the ssage from the system! What the fuck is this supposed to an? The Primordial Expanse was trying to alter his actions? Since when did the Primordial Expanse act like a living entity!?

[The Primordial Expanse possesses a will that is similar but millions of tis greater than the collective will of all creatures on Earth, popularly known as ’Gaia’.]

Once Jason read this ssage, he imdiately knew that the woman in front of him was not soone he could take lightly, and he quickly activated a Legion skill!

[The Legion skill [Soulmate] has been activated. Please choose the subordinates the user would like to share his lifeforce with.]

’Every subordinate above Rook Rank I.’

[The user has shared his lifeforce between [4] Rook Rank II subordinates and [2] Rook Rank III subordinates. The user will be capable of resurrecting after unnatural death by switching his lifeforce with any of these subordinates, but if these subordinates were to be killed in any future battles, the user will suffer a significant amount of ntal and physical damage.]

Jason’s hand tightened around the hilt of his sword as he felt a strange link spread out from his body toward the subordinates that he had chosen for the [Soulmate] skill. Jason could feel a connection with all of them that was even stronger than the connection he had with the rest of his subordinates, and Jason released a quiet breath once he was sure that it skill worked. Most of the people in front of Jason were likely stronger than he was, but at least now Jason didn’t have to worry about being killed by any random attack he couldn’t see coming. He would have ti to restrategize and co up with a counter to anything.

Jason looked up at the woman again with distrust in his eyes, and Jason wondered how she was related to the Primordial Expanse. A strange feeling of adoration ca over Jason again, and Jason had to use everything he had to fight against it. It took a few seconds for the system to finally get rid of the feeling, and Jason sent a silent thank you to the system for the help.

Jason watched as the woman stared down at him like he was a peasant, and she slowly started walking down to et with him. The red carpet under her feet extended as she moved forward, and three of the ard n who had been guarding the carriage followed after her.

The Legion finally arrived at Jason’s location, and Jason told all of them to standby. Jason was actually curious about who this woman was and what the hell she was doing here, so he wanted to talk to her first. The woman stopped a few ters away from Jason, and her eyes trailed over both Jason and the dead Lich beside him. She folded up her fan with a quiet ’rasp,’ and her blood-red lips curled into a complicated frown.

"!@#!@#!$!@!@?"

The woman spoke in a language that Jason didn’t understand, and Jason frowned as the system imdiately got to work and began to decode the language.

[New Language detected]

[Would the user like to acquire the [Minari] tongue? Yes/No?]

Jason chose yes ntally, and he felt that familiar, strange sensation wash over his ears and tongue. Jason got rid of the feeling quickly enough, and he spoke to the woman.

"Could you repeat that?"

The woman frowned at Jason like he had just cursed at her, and she pointed her fan toward one of the ard n who was standing beside her. The ard man spoke up in a gruff voice.

"Her Majesty asked if this was your doing?"

Jason gave the woman a hard stare as he said,

"And why does ’Her Majesty’ want to know?"

"You heathen!"

The ard man imdiately pulled his sword in anger as he got ready to cut Jason down, and Jason called on the Legion as he prepared to take everyone out! But the woman put her hand up calmly, and everyone suddenly felt their anger leave them. Jason watched as the ard man stepped back while sheathing his sword, and Jason glared at the man coldly before he commanded his subordinates not to attack anymore.

He turned his gaze back to the woman, and he saw that she was smiling at him in a strange way. The woman had felt the movent of the subordinates in the shadow, and she was curious about how many soldiers Jason had with him, but it didn’t matter to her since she knew that they wouldn’t be able to harm her even if they tried. The woman wasn’t interested in the monsters, but she was definitely interested in Jason. This was the first ti she would see soone capable of showing such enmity toward her, and she found herself wondering who this man was.

"Your magic signature is quite different from anything I have ever felt before. A mix of so many different forms of Essence. But at the core of it... yes, I see. So you are a mber of that race."

The woman’s eyes widened when she finally felt Jason’s true Magic Essence and discovered what race he was from! The smile on her face broadened even more, and her gaze narrowed curiously as she spoke.

"You are quite the enigma, aren’t you? But I suppose this, too, is to be expected for soone such as myself. The World has seen to it that you and I should et here today, and in this way. You should consider yourself favoured, Avaran warrior."

Jason narrowed his eyes again once he heard her calling him an Avaran, and the woman’s smile widened.

"Yes, that look in your eyes. That is sothing that no man has dared to show

before. I find it... pleasing. Our eting here today has been ordained by a higher power in order to make things work in my favour, so I shall grant you the privilege to make yourself known to . Tell , what is your na, warrior?"

"Perhaps you should tell

yours before asking for mine?"

The woman’s eyes widened in genuine surprise. It was obvious that she never expected Jason to speak to her like that, and Jason’s brow furrowed when she suddenly put her fan over her face and laughed in amusent. The woman stepped closer to Jason, and Jason’s hand tightened around the hilt of his sword as she spoke with a teasing tone in her voice.

"For soone who speaks the tongue of the Minari to not know my na is no different from treason. If I wished, I could arrest you and put you to death at this mont for your actions. But I shall overlook it this once since you are quite the enigma. I find you to be a curious anomaly, and that strangeness is a rather pleasant feeling. I am Hesabeth, Queen of the Minari, seventh seat in the council of nine and one, and supre leader over all the worlds in this Primordial Domain. Now then, who are you?"

Jason’s frown only deepened once he heard everything she had to say.

’Primordial Domain? What the fuck was a Primordial Domain?’
