The SMD was the Superhuman Managent Departnt, and it was in charge of handling every issue related to superhumans in the country. It was led by so of the most powerful superhumans in the country, so every other superhuman knew better than to go against its laws.

Jason was an A rank, and this was only his first offense after he gained his Gift, so the SMD were probably going to be lenient on him, but Gina was an adult and she had been a superhuman for years. They would sanction her rcilessly if she even tried using her abilities outside!

"Excuse ! Excuse , Miss Gina!"

A voice called from behind Gina and she turned around to see a female soldier coming toward her quickly. The female soldier was obviously not happy from the expression on her face, and she looked like she was only a mont away from cursing everyone around her.

The female soldier spoke with a frown.

"Where did Mr. Jason go to!? The governnt would like to have a word with him concerning his actions today!"

"Sorry, but that has to wait. His mum is in the hospital! He'll contact you!"

Gina quickly hailed a cab and told them where she was going, and the female soldier cursed as she turned around and told her n to begin packing up. She was only a regular human, so she knew there was nothing she could do to stop a superhuman from doing what they wanted, but having her authority disregarded so easily was grating on her nerves!

The gate had already closed and the reporters were only giving a last-minute recap of the events to their listeners, so their work here was done. She needed to report this to her superiors.

At the General Hospital in the heart of the city, doctors and nurses were moving around to handle the patients in their wards. There were people sitting in the waiting room and they were being called on one after another to be attended to.

One of the nurses, a pretty brunette who had a bored look on her face as she tried and failed to enjoy what she was doing, was busy calling on a patient when she suddenly heard sothing.

It was a low whine, like a plane was traveling over the city and releasing so sort of static. She strained her ear to see if she could hear it better, but at the next mont, the entire world shook!

BOOM!

A massive force slamd into the ground right outside the hospital and everyone inside the building scread as they felt the building shake from the impact! The lights flickered and it was almost like a mini earthquake had just passed through the building!

The nurse imdiately crouched to the ground and put her hand to her head in fear when she thought the building was going to co down! She couldn't die here! She was going to marry a rich doctor and beco a stay-at-ho rich wife! She couldn't die yet!

But just as quickly as the tremors ca, they disappeared. The hospital stabilized once more and people began murmuring loudly as they stood up.

The nurse who had hidden behind the counter, stood slowly while looking up to make sure nothing was falling on her! When she was sure she wasn't going to get crushed, she finally turned to the door to see what the hell had happened.

"Hey, it's that new superhuman! I saw him on Tube just now!"

"Isn't that the A Rank that cleared the Red Gate?"

"What is he doing here? And why is he using his abilities outside a gate?"

People began to murmur in shock when they saw who had caused the scene. Even though Jason just arrived back in the real world, all the news channels and Tubers had already spread the news of his identity to everyone! In his age of technology, it was impossible for anything to happen without soone else knowing about it!

'Holy shit, who is that?'

The nurse's eyes widened in shock once they landed on Jason. Jason had a hurried air about him as he walked past all the doctors and people staring at him outside, and his handso features were set in a hard look that made the nurse's body shiver with desire!

It was imdiately obvious to the nurse that this man was not soone normal! He's a superhuman!

The nurse plastered on her most beautiful smile and leaned her assets forward when she realized who she was about to face. The nurse knew that doctors were rich, but they were nothing in front of powerful superhumans.

Superhumans were currently the most well-paid profession in the world, and with how this man landed, the nurse imdiately knew that he had to be one of the most powerful in the world!

Jason didn't bother paying any attention to the people around as he walked up to the counter. The only thing that rang in his head continuously was the wish that his mother was alright!

"Mira Marc."

This was the only thing Jason said to the nurse when he reached her, and the nurse's smile wobbled for a mont before she laughed and tilted her head in a sexy maneuver.

"Sorry? I don't think I understand. Uhm... my na is Tiana-"

"Mira Marc! Look in your database and tell

what room she is in, dammit!"

Jason imdiately cut her off angrily once he realized what the woman was trying to do! What the fuck was her problem?! He was trying to find out about his mother and she was trying to flirt with him!?

The nurse jolted once she heard Jason shout at her and she quickly started to type into the computer in front of her! She looked through all the nas and she spoke up quickly.

"R-Room 56A! It's on the fifth floor!"

The nurse quickly stuttered out an answer! She knew better than to get on the nerves of a superhuman, and she couldn't believe she had almost made him angry!

Jason imdiately turned away from her and started moving to the elevator. The nurse took in a deep breath before sighing desperately and dropping her forehead on the counter in defeat!

'How hard can it be to find a rich boyfriend!?'

Jason made his way up the elevator to the fifth floor. He walked past the doctors and nurses who were making their rounds without bothering with greetings, and he could feel his heart racing in his chest the closer he got to that hospital room.

Jason was not the sort of person to feel fear, even in the most desperate situations. He had enough presence of mind to think things through rationally and push his fear aside. But at this mont, knowing that his mother was in that hospital, Jason felt the most fear he had ever felt in his life.

Jason reached 56A in record ti and pushed it open quickly!

"So, you only need so rest and you should be okay, Mrs. Marc. You suffered a small concussion from your fall, but other than that, you don't have any health problems."

"I don't care about my health. My boy! Tell

if my boy is okay! I need a phone-"

This was the conversation that Jason walked into! His mother was sitting up in bed, trying to get to her feet, and a doctor was telling her to lie back down because she needed to rest.

But once Jason entered, the conversation halted and they turned to him in surprise.

Mira's eyes widened once she saw who it was and tears gathered as she put her hand out towards Jason.

"Jason... is that you? You're here?"

Jason closed his eyes and released a tense breath that he didn't know he had been holding. He quickly walked up to his mother and allowed her to hug him as he sat beside her on the hospital bed and held her to his chest softly. Jason knew that he was far stronger than before, so at that mont, he held his mother with more tenderness than he had ever held anything in his life. The sa way he would hold sothing ethereal. It felt like she would break in his hand if he held her any tighter.
