Chapter 131: Remain Calm
"We’ll need to stay on our toes in case they co at us again."
Gina smiled and nodded. She already knew that Jason was planning sothing, but she wouldn’t press him about it for now. Jason knew that if he needed her help, then he only needed to ask. The both of them went back to their al, and Gina asked Jason how the deal with Tenet went. Jason had told Gina that he was going to get a contract for selling his Magic Crystal to an independent company since he didn’t trust the governnt. Gina was surprised because she was like most other superhumans who used the SMD for every magic-based purchase or sale, and she always trusted them fully.
But now that this incident had happened and Gina knew that so governnt agent was after them, Gina was starting to see why Jason didn’t trust them that much. Jason smiled at her and began to tell her about the deal while they tore through their al. Jason described Juliet to Gina, and he chuckled when he saw an angry pout on Gina’s face after he told her that Juliet was beautiful.
He told her that Tenet was going to prevent anyone from knowing where they were getting their crystals from, and then he finally told her the percentages that they had agreed on as well as how much he was expected to receive from his first sale.
Once Gina heard it, she slowly put her burger down while giving him a wide-eyed look!
"Did you just say you’ll be making sixty million dollars?"
Jason shrugged.
"Yeah, sothing around there."
Gina grabbed Jason’s shoulder and shook him excitedly as a large smile spread on her face!
"You’re way too relaxed about this, Jason! Do you know how much money that is!?"
Jason laughed as he tried to make Gina calm down! He knew that she would be shocked, but he didn’t expect her to get so excited imdiately! The amount of money that Jason was going to be making off those crystals was unbelievable, and Jason had also been in shock the first ti he really calculated just how much he was going to make! It was unreal for soone who was a regular kid just last week to suddenly be planning out a deal worth millions of dollars!
But Jason also knew he had to get used to this as quickly as possible. Jason was going to be diving into another gate very soon, and he would make even more money than he did now when he gets out from that one! He would be one of the richest people in the city after two gates, and after three, he might be one of the richest in the country!
Jason took Gina around the shoulder and looked her in the eyes to make sure she focused on him before speaking.
"Calm down, Gina. With what I’m planning for the future, this is nothing, so don’t let it get to you. I’ll be making so much more than this very soon, enough money to let us live like royalty. We’ll be untouchable by anyone, and people will fall over themselves to beco our allies, so we can’t get overwheld by this first checkpoint. Do you understand?"
Gina swallowed at the intense look in her boyfriend’s eyes. She always knew that Jason was level-headed, but this was a different level of calmness that she had never seen before. For soone to realize that they would beco a millionaire overnight like this and still be thinking about how much more they would be making in the future was almost terrifying!
Gina felt a blush rise to her cheeks as she realized just how amazing her man was! Jason had the potential to beco the leader of the new world. The sort of man who would stand at the very pinnacle of society! And she couldn’t help but feel a raw, undeniable attraction to his confidence! She knew with complete certainty that she could never love anyone else as much as this!
Gina swore at that mont that she would do everything in her power to beco soone worthy of standing beside him! She had to get better, both ntally and physically, so she wouldn’t hold Jason back! She wouldn’t lag behind no matter what!
Gina finally set her mind straight as she gave Jason a loving smile and nodded to tell him that she understood. Jason grinned in pride when he saw how quickly she was able to adapt, and he leaned down and kissed her gently. There was a cute ’awwn’ from sowhere in front of them, and neither of them needed to look to know that it was the old woman who owned the restaurant watching them.
After they separated, Gina humd softly as sothing strange ca to her mind.
"If I knew you were going to co back a millionaire, then I would’ve looked for a bigger place for us to stay."
Jason chuckled in amusent! He fucking loved this woman.

[Western Coast of the Riverdale River.]
The west coast of Riverdale was filled with multiple businesses. Riverdale was one of the most important trade towns in Arica due to the large river that connected directly to the ocean from the coast, and so there were many businessn and won who set up their businesses and hos close to the coast to take advantage of the cargo ships that were coming and going!

A massive explosion echoed through the air as three buildings were suddenly reduced to dust! A well-built man wearing a tank top and jeans yelled out loudly as he put his hand out and released a yellow laser beam towards another building!
BOOM!
Another explosion rang through the area, tearing down more buildings and sending debris and dust flying everywhere! There were people screaming as they ran from the scene and tried to get away from the carnage, but many of them were caught in the explosions, with even more people being crushed by the debris that was falling around them!
A news helicopter could be seen circling the cri scene as they watched the incident! Inside the helicopter, a beautiful woman with red hair tied into a bun and bright blue eyes spoke quickly to those watching from ho!
"Reports reaching us now suggest that the attacker is a known Superhuman who goes by the na Raygun! He was once a mber of the B Rank guild Freedom Fighters, but he was recently removed from the guild due to multiple reports of dostic and property violence! He is an emitter-type superhuman and a B Rank who has more than twenty Red Gate raids under his belt! The reason behind his recent actions is still a mystery to all of us, but our sources from the SMD have told us that the superhuman Enforcers are already on the move!"
BOOM!
Another massive explosion rang through the region as Raygun unleashed a third blast on the buildings! Raygun’s actual na was Fredrick, and he had once been a mber of the Freedom Fighters. But his life had taken a complete one-eighty after he was convicted of dostic abuse by the court, and his wife and daughter were taken from him.
Raygun lost his family, his job, and more than two-thirds of all the money he had saved was given to his wife in order to help her take care of their child! All of these events, taking place one after the other, had a serious effect on Raygun’s ntal state! He was alone for most of the day, drinking and wallowing in his own self-pity. And with this newfound solitude ca a question that he just couldn’t get rid of.
